## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Jobs Scraper: Salaries, Descriptions & Apply Links

Get **job postings from Google Jobs** for any job title and location. Google Jobs collects openings from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, company career sites and hundreds of job boards, so one search covers the whole market. Each job comes with the **salary range** (parsed into min, max and period), posted date, job type, remote flag, benefits, Google's **job highlights** (qualifications, responsibilities, benefits), the **full description** and **every apply link**. Google shows 10 jobs per search. This Actor runs extra searches automatically and returns **100-200 unique jobs per role** without duplicates. Fast HTTP requests, no browser.

### What you get

| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Job | Title, company, location, source site (`via`) |
| Salary | Text as shown (`130K–170K a year`) plus `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryPeriod` (hour, day, week, month, year) |
| Freshness | `postedAt` ("3 days ago") and `ageDays` as a number |
| Type | Full-time, part-time, contractor, internship; `workFromHome` flag |
| Highlights | Qualifications, responsibilities and benefits extracted by Google |
| Description | Full job description text |
| Apply links | Every place the job is posted: LinkedIn, Indeed, company site and others |

### Use cases

- **Job boards and aggregators**: fill your board with fresh postings for any role and city.
- **Salary research**: compare pay ranges for a role across cities using `salaryMin` and `salaryMax`.
- **Recruiting and sales leads**: find companies that are hiring right now for a role you place or a product you sell.
- **Labour market analysis**: track demand for skills, remote share and job types over time.
- **AI agents and job-search assistants**: live job data through the Apify MCP server.

```
### Pricing
**$0.002 per job** ($2 per 1,000 jobs), no start fee. Searches that return nothing are free.
### Tips
- Use **Location** for the city or country and keep the search itself short ("data analyst", not "data analyst jobs in Chicago").
- For jobs outside the US, set **Location** (e.g. "Berlin") and **Google country** (e.g. "de"). Keep the language "en" for English postings or set it to the local language.
- **Max jobs per search**: 10 is one Google search (fastest). 50-100 covers most roles in a city. Popular roles in big cities reach 200.
- About half of postings show a salary, because many employers do not publish it. Filter on `salaryMin` to keep only jobs with pay.
- **Date posted** filters on Google's "posted" label, so jobs without a date are kept.
### FAQ
**Which job sites are included?** Everything Google Jobs indexes: LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Monster, company career pages (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever...) and many niche boards. The `via` field shows the source and `applyLinks` lists all of them.
**Are the apply links direct?** Yes. They are the real URLs of the postings, not Google redirects.
**Why do I get fewer jobs than I asked for?** Google has a limited number of postings for narrow searches (rare role, small town, last 24 hours). The Actor stops when new searches stop finding new jobs, so you never pay for duplicates.
# Actor input Schema
## `queries` (type: `array`):
Job titles or keywords, one per line (e.g. 'data analyst', 'barista', 'python developer').
## `location` (type: `string`):
City, state or country added to every search (e.g. 'Chicago, IL', 'London', 'Germany'). Empty = no location.
## `maxJobsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):
Google shows 10 jobs per search. Above 10, the Actor runs extra phrasings (senior, entry level, remote, contract...) and removes duplicates, which usually reaches 100-200 unique jobs for a popular role.
## `datePosted` (type: `string`):
Only jobs posted within this period.
## `employmentType` (type: `string`):
Only jobs of this type.
## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Keep only work-from-home jobs.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Full job description text. Turn off for smaller output.
## `country` (type: `string`):
Two-letter country code for Google (us, gb, de, in...). Use together with Location for jobs abroad.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Interface language code (en, de, fr, es...).
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
Parallel searches.
