## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Snapchat Scraper: Profiles, Spotlight, Stories & Highlights

Scrape **public Snapchat profiles** of creators, celebrities and brands: **display name, subscriber count, bio, website, category, verified badge, profile and hero images, snapcode, related accounts and lenses**. With every profile you also get its **Spotlight videos** (views, shares, comments, boosts, recommends, video URL, duration, sound), its **saved Story highlights** and the **current public Story** with media links.

No login, no browser. You pay per record delivered.

### What you can paste

### Use cases

- **Influencer research**: compare creators by subscribers and Spotlight views, shares and comments.
- **Brand monitoring**: track what brands and celebrities post in Stories and Spotlight.
- **Lead generation**: collect websites, categories and business profiles of public accounts.
- **Content archiving**: save media URLs of Stories before they expire after 24 hours.

### How to use

1. Add usernames, profile links or Spotlight links.
2. Choose what to save with each profile: Spotlight videos, highlights, the current Story.
3. Run and open the **Profiles** or **Spotlight, highlights and stories** view, or export to JSON, CSV or Excel.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "profiles": ["kyliejenner", "@djkhaled305", "https://www.snapchat.com/add/mrbeast"],
  "spotlightUrls": ["https://www.snapchat.com/spotlight/W7_EDlXWTBiXAEEniNoMPwAAYcWVmcHNqb2p5AaEEYCyMAaEEX5T1AAAAAQ"],
  "includeSpotlights": true,
  "includeHighlights": true,
  "includeStory": true
}
```

### Pricing

- **Profile**: charged per profile.
- **Spotlight, highlight or story**: charged per Spotlight video, highlight or current Story (a Story with 150 snaps is one record).

No start fee. Usernames that do not exist or are private are reported as `error` records and are **not charged**.

### Tips and limits

- Only **public profiles** (creators, public figures, businesses) have a web page; private personal accounts return an error.
- Snapchat's profile page shows up to 16 Spotlight videos and the saved highlights; the actor saves what the page shows.
- Media URLs are signed by Snapchat and stay valid for a limited time; download them soon after the run.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Snapchat account?** No.

**Can I get followers of an account?** No, Snapchat does not show follower lists publicly.

**Is it legal?** The actor reads publicly visible profile pages. Use the data in line with Snapchat's terms and local law (GDPR for EU persons).
