## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape **Walmart.com products and customer reviews**. Paste product URLs or item IDs, or search by keyword, and get the **current price, was price, rollback and clearance flags, rating and rating breakdown, seller, stock status**, specifications, description and images. Add **reviews** with rating, title, text, date, verified purchase, helpful votes and photos, sorted the way you need.

No login, no browser. Pay only per product and per review delivered.

### Use cases

- **Price monitoring and MAP checks**: track price, was price and rollbacks for your products or competitors, daily.
- **Product research**: compare ratings, review counts and sellers across a whole search.
- **Review analysis**: collect the newest or lowest-rated reviews to find product problems and feature requests.
- **Catalog enrichment**: specs, UPC, model number, descriptions and images.

### How to use

1. Add product URLs / item IDs, or search keywords.
2. Optional: set **Max reviews per product** and **Sort reviews by** (newest, lowest rating...).
3. Optional: turn on **Full details for search results**.
4. Run, then open the **Products** or **Reviews** view.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "products": ["https://www.walmart.com/ip/5689919121"],
  "searchQueries": ["air fryer"],
  "maxProductsPerSearch": 80,
  "scrapeProductDetails": false,
  "maxReviewsPerProduct": 50,
  "reviewsSort": "submission-desc"
}
```

### Pricing

- **Product**: charged per product record.
- **Review**: a lower price per review.

No start fee. Products that do not exist are reported as `error` records and are **not charged**.

### Tips and limits

- Prices and stock are for walmart.com (US) as shown to a visitor without a chosen store.
- Search pages go through residential proxy (Walmart blocks datacenter IPs there); product and review pages use datacenter proxy, which keeps runs fast.
- Walmart shows up to about 1,000 products per keyword; use more specific keywords for wider coverage.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Walmart account?** No.

**Is it legal?** The actor reads public product pages and reviews that Walmart shows to every visitor. Use the data in line with Walmart terms and data protection rules.

**Something missing?** Open an issue on the Issues tab and I will look at it.

# Actor input Schema

## `products` (type: `array`):

Walmart product pages (https://www.walmart.com/ip/...) or numeric item IDs (5689919121). Full product details for each.

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords like 'air fryer' or 'lego star wars'. Products from the search results pages.

## `maxProductsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

Walmart shows about 40 products per page and up to 25 pages.

## `scrapeProductDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each found product page for specifications, description, was price, rating breakdown and all images. Slower; same price per product.

## `maxReviewsPerProduct` (type: `integer`):

Customer reviews with rating, text, date, verified purchase and photos. 10 per page. 0 = none.

## `reviewsSort` (type: `string`):

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):

Each retry uses a new proxy IP.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave the default: product and review pages use datacenter proxy, search uses residential (Walmart blocks datacenter there). Pick a group only to force it.
