## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Screenshot: Full Page, Mobile & PDF, No Cookie Banners

Take clean screenshots of any number of web pages in one run. Full page or visible screen, **desktop, tablet and mobile** devices, **PNG, JPEG or PDF**, light or dark mode. Cookie consent pop-ups are hidden and ads are blocked by default, so you get the page the way a reader sees it after clicking "Accept", without the clutter.

Every screenshot is saved with a **public link** that you can drop into a report, a spreadsheet, Slack, or an AI agent.

### What you get

| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Bulk URLs | Paste a list or upload a file |
| Full page | Captures the whole page; scrolls first so lazy images load |
| Devices | Desktop 1366, Desktop HD 1920, Laptop Retina @2x, Tablet @2x, Mobile @3x; several at once |
| Formats | PNG, JPEG (quality setting), PDF (A4) |
| No cookie banners | OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Quantcast, Usercentrics, Sourcepoint, Osano, iubenda and more |
| No ads | Requests to major ad networks are blocked and empty ad slots are hidden |
| Element capture | Screenshot just one element by CSS selector |
| Hide anything | Extra CSS selectors (chat widgets, sticky headers...) |
| Dark mode | Emulate `prefers-color-scheme: dark` |
| Anti-bot pages detected | "Access denied", captcha and robot-check pages are recognised, retried on a residential IP and never charged |
| No blank images | Empty or broken captures are retried automatically |
| Page metadata | Title, final URL after redirects, HTTP status, full page height, `truncated` flag |

### Use cases

- **Website monitoring and archiving**: daily captures of your or your competitors' pages.
- **SEO and marketing reports**: landing pages on desktop and mobile side by side.
- **QA and design reviews**: check layouts on several devices in one run.
- **AI agents**: give an LLM a clean picture of a page via the Apify MCP server.

}
```
### Pricing
**$0.001 per screenshot** ($1 per 1,000), plus nothing else: no start fee. You are charged only for screenshots actually saved. Pages that fail after all retries, including sites that keep serving an anti-bot page, are reported with an `error` field and are **not** charged.
### Tips
- Browsers cannot encode images taller than about 16,000 device pixels. Longer full pages are cut at that height (5,333 CSS px on Mobile @3x, 8,000 px on @2x devices, 16,000 px on Desktop) and the result has `"truncated": true`. Set **Max height** to cut earlier, or use the Desktop device to capture more of a long page.
- Very long pages produce large files on mobile @3x. Use JPEG or the Desktop device to keep files small.
- A few sites (for example nytimes.com) block every automated browser. Those pages come back with an `error` and cost nothing.
- If a site still shows a pop-up, add its selector to **CSS selectors to hide**.
- For pages that load content slowly, use **Wait for selector** or a longer **Extra delay**.
### FAQ
**Can it capture pages behind a login?** No, only publicly available pages.
**Something broke or you need a feature?** Open an issue on the Actor page.
# Actor input Schema
## `urls` (type: `array`):
Pages to capture.
## `format` (type: `string`):
Image or PDF.
## `fullPage` (type: `boolean`):
Capture the whole scrollable page, not just the visible screen.
## `maxHeight` (type: `integer`):
Cut very long full-page captures at this height in CSS pixels. 0 = automatic (as tall as the browser can encode: about 16,000 device pixels, e.g. 5,333 px on mobile @3x). The output field `truncated` tells you when a page was cut.
## `devices` (type: `array`):
One screenshot per URL per device.
## `hideCookieBanners` (type: `boolean`):
Hides OneTrust, Cookiebot, Didomi, Quantcast, Usercentrics and other common consent pop-ups.
## `blockAds` (type: `boolean`):
Blocks requests to major ad networks (Google Ads, Amazon, Criteo, Taboola, Outbrain...).
## `hideSelectors` (type: `array`):
Extra elements to hide, e.g. chat widgets: #intercom-container
## `elementSelector` (type: `string`):
CSS selector; when set, only this element is captured.
## `colorScheme` (type: `string`):
Emulate light or dark mode.
## `viewportWidth` (type: `integer`):
Overrides the device width (pixels). 0 = device default.
## `viewportHeight` (type: `integer`):
Overrides the device height (pixels). 0 = device default.
## `quality` (type: `integer`):
1-100, JPEG only.
## `locale` (type: `string`):
e.g. en-US, de-DE. Empty = default.
## `waitUntil` (type: `string`):
Page load event to wait for.
## `waitForSelector` (type: `string`):
Wait until this CSS selector appears before capturing.
## `scrollToBottom` (type: `boolean`):
Scrolls the page before a full-page capture so lazy-loaded images appear.
## `delaySecs` (type: `integer`):
Wait this long before capturing.
## `timeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):
Maximum time to load one page.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
Pages captured in parallel.
## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):
Extra attempts for a failed page, each on a new proxy IP.
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Proxy for page loads.
