## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## XING Jobs Scraper: Germany, Austria & Switzerland

Scrape **job offers from XING**, the largest professional network in the German-speaking market. Search by **keyword and location**, filter by employment type, career level and remote work, and get the **title, company, salary estimate, city, employment type, posting date and apply URL** of every job. Turn on **Full job details** for the complete description, career level, discipline, industry, remote options and company size.

No login, no browser. Pay only per job delivered.

### What you can search

- **Keywords**: `data analyst`, `Pflegefachkraft`, `Python`, `Projektmanager`
- **Locations**: `Berlin`, `München`, `Hamburg`, `Wien`, `Zürich`, optional radius 10–100 km
- **Filters**: employment type, career level, remote work, newest first
- **Search URLs**: paste any `https://www.xing.com/jobs/search?...` URL with filters already set

Each keyword is searched in each location. Jobs that show up in several searches are saved once.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `jobId`, `title`, `url` | 158443678, Data Analyst (m/w/d) |
| `company`, `companyUrl`, `companyLogo` | Accon-RVS Accounting und Consulting GmbH |
| `city`, `region`, `country`, `locations` | Berlin, Land Berlin, DE |

| `remoteOptions`, `language`, `keywords` | NON_REMOTE, de |

### Use cases

- **Recruiters and HR agencies**: build lead lists of companies hiring for a role in a city, with apply links.
- **Salary research**: compare XING salary estimates by title, city and career level.
- **Job boards and aggregators**: feed fresh German-speaking jobs into your platform every day with **Newest first**.
- **Labour market analysis**: track demand for skills across DACH regions.

### How to use

1. Add search keywords and locations.
2. Optional: set filters, **Max jobs per search** and **Full job details**.
3. Run, then open the **Jobs** view or export to Excel, CSV or JSON.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["data analyst", "data scientist"],
  "locations": ["Berlin", "München"],
  "employmentType": "FULL_TIME",
  "sortBy": "date",
  "maxJobsPerSearch": 200,
  "scrapeJobDetails": true
}
```

### Pricing

- **Job**: charged per job saved to the dataset, with or without full details.

No start fee. Invalid inputs are reported as `error` records and are **not charged**.

### Tips and limits

- XING returns up to 1,000 jobs per search (50 pages). For wider coverage, split by location or filter.
- Salary values are XING's estimates unless the employer published a range.
- Only public job offers are collected; no personal profiles.

### FAQ

**Do I need a XING account?** No.

**Is it legal?** The actor reads public job offers that XING shows to every visitor. Use the data in line with XING terms and data protection rules.

**Something missing?** Open an issue on the Issues tab and I will look at it.
