## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs: SmartRecruiters, Workable & Personio

Get published job postings from company career boards on **SmartRecruiters**, **Workable** and **Personio** in one standard JSON format. The data comes from each provider's official public job feed. There is no login, no HTML scraping, no proxies and no CAPTCHA handling.

Use it to track hiring at target companies, feed a job board, build lead lists from hiring signals, or monitor new roles with `onlyNew`.

Job descriptions belong to the employers who published them.

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "workable:huggingface",
    "personio:personio",
    "smartrecruiters:BoschGroup"
  ],
  "keywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": [],
  "departments": [],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "postedSinceDays": 30,
  "onlyNew": false,
  "includeHtml": false,
  "maxJobs": 100
}
```

- `companies`: career-board identifiers as `provider:board`, up to 30. The board identifier is the company's id in that ATS, as it appears in its careers URL:
  - SmartRecruiters: `jobs.smartrecruiters.com/<board>`;
  - Workable: `apply.workable.com/<board>`;
  - Personio: `<board>.jobs.personio.de`.
    A value without a prefix is tried on all three providers.
- `keywords`, `locations`, `departments`: case-insensitive "contains" filters on title, location and department.
- `remoteOnly`: keep only jobs the provider marks as remote.
- `postedSinceDays`: keep only jobs published within this many days. Jobs without a publication date are excluded.
- `onlyNew`: return only jobs you have not received before for the same query. Use `stateKey` to share this memory between different queries.
- `includeHtml`: also return the original HTML description.
- `maxJobs`: maximum number of jobs per run (1–10,000).

### Output

One dataset item per job:

```json
{
  "source": "workable",
  "company": "example",
  "jobId": "ABC123",
  "title": "Software Engineer",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": null,
  "locations": ["London, United Kingdom"],
  "remote": true,
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "compensation": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-10-20T08:00:00Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "applyUrl": "https://apply.workable.com/example/j/ABC123/",
  "jobUrl": "https://apply.workable.com/example/j/ABC123/",
  "descriptionText": "…",
  "descriptionHtml": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T12:00:00Z"
}
```

The same field names are used by our sister Actor for Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, so results from both can be merged directly.

A run summary (jobs per board, boards not found, errors) is saved to the `OUTPUT` record of the run's key-value store.

### Good to know

- These three feeds rarely include salary, so `compensation` is usually null. It is filled only from a structured salary field and never guessed from text.
- SmartRecruiters' public list does not include the full job description, so `descriptionText` can be empty for that provider.
- Personio boards appear only if the employer has enabled its public XML feed. Personio does not publish a remote flag, so `remote` is `null` there.
- A board that does not exist on a provider is reported in `notFoundOn` and does not fail the run.

### Data sources

### Pricing

$2 per 1,000 jobs. You pay only for jobs returned.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Use provider:board, e.g. smartrecruiters:BoschGroup, workable:huggingface, personio:personio. A board without a provider prefix is tried on all three.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words (case-insensitive). Leave empty for all titles.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these values, e.g. Berlin or Remote. Leave empty for all locations.

## `departments` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose department contains any of these values. Leave empty for all departments.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only vacancies explicitly marked remote.

## `postedSinceDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs published within this many days. Jobs without a publication date are excluded.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

History of emitted jobs is shared Actor-wide by query or stateKey, not per customer.

## `includeHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Also return the original job description HTML in descriptionHtml. Plain text is always in descriptionText.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Private owner preview is limited to 200 per run.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Optional deduplication history partition; avoid sharing across buyers.
