## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Remote Jobs: Remote OK, Jobicy, Working Nomads & Arbeitnow

Get fresh remote job postings from four public job boards in one clean, consistent JSON format: **Remote OK**, **Jobicy**, **Working Nomads** and **Arbeitnow**. Each board's official public API is used, so there is no login, no proxies, no browser and no CAPTCHA handling.

Use it to feed a niche job board or newsletter, watch new remote roles for a skill, or collect salary data for remote work.

### Input

```json
{
  "sources": ["remoteok", "jobicy", "workingnomads", "arbeitnow"],
  "keywords": ["python", "django"],
  "excludeKeywords": ["senior"],
  "locations": ["Europe", "Worldwide"],
  "remoteOnly": true,
  "salaryOnly": false,
  "postedSinceDays": 7,
  "dedupe": true,
  "onlyNew": false,
  "maxJobs": 200
}
```

- `sources`: which boards to read.
- `keywords`: keep jobs whose title or tags contain any of these words.
- `excludeKeywords`: drop jobs whose title contains any of these words.
- `locations`: keep jobs whose location contains any of these values. Jobs without a location limit count as worldwide.
- `remoteOnly`: Arbeitnow also lists on-site jobs in Germany; keep this on to skip them (default on).
- `salaryOnly`: keep only jobs that publish a salary.
- `postedSinceDays`: keep only jobs published within this many days.
- `dedupe`: the same company and title found on two boards is returned once.
- `onlyNew`: return only jobs you have not received before for the same query. Use `stateKey` to share this memory between queries.
- `maxJobs`: maximum number of jobs per run (1–10,000). Newest jobs come first.

### Output

One dataset item per job:

```json
{
  "source": "jobicy",
  "attribution": "Jobicy",
  "jobId": "157410",
  "title": "Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Security",
  "company": "Mozilla",
  "locations": ["France"],
  "remote": true,
  "employmentType": "Full-Time",
  "seniority": "Senior",
  "tags": ["Cybersecurity"],
  "compensation": {"min": 53000, "max": 71000, "currency": "EUR", "period": "yearly"},
  "postedAt": "2026-10-27T14:08:18Z",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobicy.com/jobs/157410-senior-software-engineer-firefox-security",
  "jobUrl": "https://jobicy.com/jobs/157410-senior-software-engineer-firefox-security",
  "descriptionText": "…",
  "descriptionHtml": null,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-27T15:00:00Z"
}
```

A run summary (jobs per board, duplicates removed, errors) is saved to the `OUTPUT` record of the run's key-value store. If one board is down, the others are still returned and the error is listed there.

### Attribution

The boards ask that anyone who shows their jobs credits them. If you publish these jobs, show the board name from `attribution` with a link to `jobUrl`, and keep apply buttons pointing to `applyUrl`. Remote OK asks for a followed link (no `nofollow`). Do not use the boards' logos without their permission.

### Good to know

- `compensation` is filled only from a published salary field and never guessed from text. Remote OK salaries are in USD per year.
- Boards publish their newest jobs: Remote OK and Working Nomads return their current feed, Jobicy up to 1,000 newest, Arbeitnow up to 10 pages.
- Job descriptions belong to the employers and boards that published them.

### Pricing

You pay only for jobs returned.
