## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 app details

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Play Store Scraper: Apps, Reviews & Top Charts

Scrape Google Play in any country and language: search apps by keyword, get full details for any app, pull **thousands of reviews per app** with star and date filters, or read the **Top Free, Top Paid and Top Grossing charts** for any category. No API key, no login.

| At a glance | |
|---|---|
| **You give it** | Search terms, app IDs or a chart and category, plus country and language |
| **You get** | One row per app (installs, ratings histogram, developer contact, version) and optionally per review |
| **Price** | $0.005 per run + $0.002 per app + $0.00098 per review (Free plan, lower on paid plans) |
| **Speed** | 1,416 reviews in about 11 seconds |
| **Needs** | Nothing: no login, no API key, no proxy |

### What you get

- **Four modes:** keyword search, app details by ID or link, reviews only, top charts.
- **Top charts** for all apps, all games, or any of 49 categories (Productivity, Finance, Puzzle games...), up to 200 ranks, with `chartRank` on every row.
- **Reviews without a small cap.** Google Play pages through reviews freely: 1,416 WhatsApp reviews from the last day came back in 11 seconds.
- **Review filters:** star ratings (for example only 1 and 2 stars), newest, most relevant or by rating, and a `reviewsSince` date for daily syncs that stop as soon as they reach older reviews.
- **40+ app fields:** installs (range and real count), rating and rating count, ratings histogram, price and in-app purchases, ads, genre, content rating, version, release and update dates, what's new, **developer email, website and address**, privacy policy, icon, screenshots, video.
- **Any country and language,** several countries per run.
- **Cheap to run:** 50 reviews used $0.0004 of platform usage.

In a side-by-side test, this actor returned the same Top Grossing Games chart in the same order as a popular alternative, with identical ratings, installs and developer emails.

### Use cases

- **App store optimization.** Who ranks for your keywords and how their ratings compare.
- **Review mining.** Every 1-star review for a competitor, with the app version, to find what users hate.
- **Chart tracking.** Snapshot Top Grossing Games daily and watch who climbs.
- **Lead generation.** Developer emails and websites for every app in a category chart.
- **Sentiment and AI analysis.** Clean review text with rating, date, version and developer replies.
- **Release monitoring.** Catch competitors' new versions and their "what's new" text.

### Pricing

Pay per event:

- **$0.005** per run start
- **$0.002** per app
- **$0.00098** per review

Lower on higher Apify plans. Apify platform usage is billed separately to your account and is tiny: 50 reviews used $0.0004.

| What you scrape | Actor cost |
|---|---|
| Top 100 chart | about $0.21 |
| 1 app + 1,000 reviews | about $0.99 |
| 30 search results | about $0.065 |

### Automate it with n8n

Each workflow uses n8n's official **Apify** node, operation **Run actor and get dataset**, actor `labrat011/google-play-scraper`. Paste the input into **Input JSON**; switch it to **Expression** when it contains `{{ }}`.

### For AI agents

- **Actor:** `labrat011/google-play-scraper`
- **Smallest input:** `{ "searchTerms": ["habit tracker"] }`
- **One row = one app (`type: "app"`) or one review (`type: "review"`).** Key fields: apps: `appId`, `title`, `score`, `installs`, `developer`, `developerEmail`; reviews: `reviewId`, `appId`, `rating`, `text`, `date`.
- **Billing:** `apify-actor-start` once per run, `app-detail` per app row, `review` per review row. Cap spend with `maxAppsPerQuery`, `maxReviewsPerApp` or a maximum cost per run.
- **Run it:** `POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/labrat011~google-play-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items` with the input as the JSON body, or call it from the Apify MCP server.
- **Done signal:** the run's status message reads `Saved N apps and M reviews.`

### FAQ

**Where do I find an app ID?** It is the `id=` part of the Play Store link: `play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatsapp`. You can paste the whole link.

**Why do some apps show "Varies with device" as the version?** That is what Google Play itself shows for apps with several builds.

**Do I need a proxy?** No.
