## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Email Deliverability Checker – SPF, DKIM, DMARC & MX Audit

Bulk-check SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI for any list of domains. Get a 0–100 deliverability score, mail provider detection and exact fixes. Ideal for cold email, agencies and IT audits.

### What does it do?

Audit the email authentication and deliverability setup of any number of domains in one run. For every domain you get **SPF** (with recursive DNS-lookup counting), **DKIM** (35+ common selectors + your own), **DMARC** policy and reporting, **MX records with mail-provider detection** (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho…), **MTA-STS**, **TLS-RPT** and **BIMI** – plus a **0–100 score, an A–F grade and a prioritized list of exact fixes**.

### Why use it?

- Cold-email & lead-gen teams: check prospect or sending domains before campaigns and protect your sender reputation.
- Agencies & MSPs: generate deliverability audits for clients and prospects in seconds (great sales hook).
- IT & security teams: find domains vulnerable to spoofing (missing DMARC, `+all`, weak DKIM).
- Compliance with the Gmail / Yahoo bulk-sender requirements (SPF + DKIM + DMARC).

### Quick start

1. Click **Try for free** / **Start**.
2. Paste your list (the example input already works – just press Start).
3. Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or use the API, schedules and integrations (Make, Zapier, n8n, Slack, Google Sheets…).

### Input example

```json
{
  "domains": ["apify.com", "github.com", "yourcompany.com"],
  "dkimSelectors": ["myselector"]
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "domain": "example.com",
  "score": 82,
  "grade": "B",
  "mailProvider": "Google Workspace",
  "spf": { "record": "v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all", "dnsLookups": 4, "allQualifier": "~", "valid": true },
  "dmarc": { "policy": "none", "aggregateReports": ["mailto:dmarc@example.com"] },
  "dkim": { "found": [{ "selector": "google", "keyType": "rsa", "keyBits": 2048 }] },
  "issues": [{ "severity": "medium", "code": "DMARC_POLICY_NONE", "message": "DMARC policy is \"none\"…", "fix": "Move to p=quarantine…" }]
}
```

### Pricing

Pay only for results: **$4.00 per 1,000 domains** (pay-per-event). No subscription. Platform usage is included in the price. You can set a maximum cost per run and the Actor stops before exceeding it.

### FAQ

**Can it find every DKIM selector?**

No tool can: DNS does not allow listing selectors. We test 35+ of the most common ones and any selectors you add.

**Which DNS resolvers are used?**

Public resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9) for consistent, cache-friendly results.

**Do I pay for domains that fail?**

No. Domains whose DNS lookup fails are listed in the FAILED_INPUTS record and are not charged.

### Legal & responsible use

This Actor only accesses publicly available data and official public APIs, respects robots.txt where applicable and paces its requests. You are responsible for using the results in line with applicable laws (e.g. GDPR/CCPA) and the terms of the data sources.

### Support

Found a bug or need a feature? Open an issue on the Actor’s **Issues** tab – we usually reply within 24 hours. Check our other tools: Website SEO & Broken Link Auditor, B2B Lead & Tech Stack Intelligence, Shopify Product Scraper and ATS Jobs Scraper.
