## Pricing

from $4.25 / 1,000 companies

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Company Hiring Signals: open jobs, new roles and hiring score per company

Give it a list of **company domains** (or job-board links) and get back **one hiring summary per company**: how many jobs are open right now, how many were **posted in the last 7 and 30 days**, which **functions** are hiring (engineering, sales, marketing, customer success...), the **seniority mix**, top **departments and locations**, the **remote share**, posted **salary ranges**, a **0-100 hiring score** with a plain label (none, low, steady, active, surge) and, when you run it again, **what changed since the last run** (jobs added, jobs removed).

It reads the company's **own job board** through the public JSON feeds that Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Personio, Breezy HR, Pinpoint, Rippling, Gem, Polymer and Freshteam publish for embedding job listings on career sites. For a domain it first follows the careers link on the company's own website, so the board belongs to that company. No LinkedIn, no Indeed, no login.

**$5 per 1,000 companies with open jobs.** Companies where no job board is found are returned free.

### Why hiring signals?

A company that is hiring is a company that is spending. Hiring data is one of the strongest public **buying-intent signals** for B2B sales: ten new sales roles mean a new sales team that needs tools; a first data engineer means a data stack is about to be bought; a hiring freeze is an early warning for investors and suppliers.

### What does it return?

- `company`, `ats` (job system), `boardUrl`, `boardSlug`, `careersPage`, `boardFoundBy` (input, website link or name guess)
- `openJobs`, `jobsRead`, `newJobs7d`, `newJobs30d`, `jobsOlderThan90d`, `medianJobAgeDays`, `newestPostedAt`, `oldestPostedAt`
- `hiringScore` (0-100: size of the hiring effort plus freshness of postings) and `hiringSignal` (none, low, steady, active, surge)
- `byFunction` and `topFunction`: engineering, data_ai, product, design, sales, marketing, customer, operations, finance_legal, people, other
- `bySeniority`: intern, junior, mid, senior, manager, director, executive (from job titles)
- `topDepartments`, `topLocations`, `remoteJobs`, `remoteShare`
- `jobsWithSalary`, `salaryCurrency`, `medianSalaryMin`, `medianSalaryMax` (where the board publishes pay ranges, e.g. Ashby, Lever, Workday)
- `newestJobs`: the latest postings with title, location, department, date and link
- With change tracking on (default) and from the second run: `previousCheckAt`, `previousOpenJobs`, `openJobsChange`, `jobsAdded`, `jobsRemoved`
- `note`: anything worth knowing (board guessed from the name, only part of a very large Workday site read, no board found)

### Who is it for?

- **SDRs, account executives and RevOps**: prioritize accounts that are hiring in the team you sell to (sales tools to companies hiring sales reps, dev tools to companies hiring engineers).
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: find companies with many open roles or a sudden surge, and the departments they hire for.
- **Investors and analysts**: track hiring momentum across a portfolio or a market map every week.
- **Job seekers and career coaches**: see which companies are really growing.

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe.com", "figma.com", "linear.app", "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai", "greenhouse:airbnb"],
  "trackChanges": true,
  "trackingStoreName": "my-accounts",
  "topN": 5
}
```

- **Companies**: domains, job-board URLs or `system:slug`.
- **Guess the job board from the name**: on by default; guessed boards are flagged so you can check them.
- **Track changes between runs** and **Tracking list name**: keep one name per watch list and schedule the actor weekly.
- **Only charge/return companies with at least N open jobs**, **Max jobs read per Workday site**, **Top N**, **Include all job IDs**.

    }
  ]
}
```
### How much does it cost?
**$5 per 1,000 companies** with at least one open job (less on higher Apify plans), plus a one-time $0.001 start fee. Companies with no job board found, or below your minimum, are free.
- **Weekly check of 500 target accounts, 300 with a job board**: 300 x $0.005 = **$1.50 a week**.
- **One-off scan of 5,000 startups from a directory, 2,000 hiring**: **$10**.
- **Daily watch of 50 competitors**: about **$0.25 a day**.
Small boards take a second; a large Workday site with 1,000+ jobs takes about a minute. Memory: 512 MB.
### Tips
- Prefer domains or board URLs over bare names: a bare name is guessed and may hit another company with the same name.
- `openJobs` counts what the board lists today; `newJobs30d` uses each job's published date (some systems only publish an approximate "posted N days ago").
- For job-level rows (titles, descriptions, salaries) use our Career Site Jobs actor on the same companies.
- Schedule it weekly and use `jobsAdded` / `openJobsChange` to alert your team in Slack through an Apify integration.
### Integrations and API
Run it from the Apify API, Python or JavaScript client, Make, Zapier, n8n or plain HTTP; schedule it and push results to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce (through Make/Zapier), Slack or a webhook.
### Is it legal?
Yes. It reads only public job listings that companies publish themselves through the official embeddable job-board feeds of their recruiting software, and the company's own public careers link. No personal data is collected: job listings describe roles, not people. Please use the data in line with your local rules for marketing outreach.
### FAQ
**Which job systems are supported?** Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Personio, Breezy HR, Pinpoint, Rippling, Gem, Polymer and Freshteam. Companies on iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors or a custom site are returned free with a note.
**How is the hiring score computed?** Up to 60 points for the size of the hiring effort (number of open jobs) and up to 40 for freshness (share of jobs posted in the last 30 days). "Surge" means at least 15 new jobs in 30 days making up half of all dated jobs, or 10+ new jobs in a week.
**How does change tracking work?** Each run stores the open job IDs per company in a named key-value store in your own Apify account; the next run with the same list name compares against it.
**Why is openJobs bigger than jobsRead?** Very large Workday sites are read up to your limit (default 1,000 newest jobs) while the total count comes from the site itself.
### Changelog
- 0.1 (November 2026): first release with 15 job systems, website careers-link discovery, function and seniority mix, salary medians, hiring score and change tracking.
# Actor input Schema
## `companies` (type: `array`):
One company per line: its website domain (stripe.com), a job-board URL (jobs.lever.co/acme, boards.greenhouse.io/acme, acme.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/External) or system:slug (greenhouse:airbnb). For a domain, the job board linked from the company's own website is used.
## `guessBoardFromName` (type: `boolean`):
If the website links no supported job board, try the company name on each job system. Guessed boards are marked boardFoundBy='name guess' so you can check them.
## `trackChanges` (type: `boolean`):
Remember each company's open job IDs in a named key-value store so the next run reports jobsAdded, jobsRemoved and openJobsChange. Schedule the actor weekly to get hiring momentum.
## `trackingStoreName` (type: `string`):
Name for the change-tracking memory (letters, digits, dashes). Use different names for different watch lists.
## `minOpenJobs` (type: `integer`):
Companies below this number are still returned as free rows so your list stays complete. Default: 1.
## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):
Workday sites are read page by page; this caps how many jobs are read per site (the total open count is still reported). Other systems are read in full.
## `topN` (type: `integer`):
How many departments, locations and newest jobs to list per company. Default: 5.
## `includeJobIds` (type: `boolean`):
Add the list of every open job ID (useful to diff runs yourself).
