## Pricing

from $0.43 / 1,000 stations

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Europe Fuel Prices: Diesel & Petrol Prices by Station (France, Spain, Austria, UK)

Get **current fuel prices for every petrol station in France and Spain**, the **cheapest stations of every Austrian district**, and the **UK retailers' open price feeds** — diesel, E10, E5 / SP95, Super 98, LPG, E85 and CNG — in one clean table with GPS coordinates, brand, address and the time each price was last updated.

All data comes from **official open-data sources** that governments and retailers publish for exactly this purpose. No logins, no scraping of comparison apps, no proxies needed.

### What does Europe Fuel Prices do?

- Reads the official station price feeds of the countries you pick (France, Spain, Austria, United Kingdom).
- Normalises every country's fuel names into the same columns: `diesel`, `premiumDiesel`, `e10`, `e5`, `superPlus`, `lpg`, `e85`, `cng`.
- Lets you search **around a point** (latitude, longitude, radius in km) and sort by **cheapest first** or **nearest first**.
- Filters by city, postal code prefix, brand and fuel type.
- Leaves out stations whose prices are older than a limit you choose (default 14 days), so stale feeds don't pollute your data.

### Who is it for?

- **Fleet managers and logistics teams** who want to know where to refuel trucks and vans along a route.
- **Price-comparison and navigation apps** that need a reliable, regularly refreshed fuel price dataset.
- **Analysts and journalists** tracking fuel price trends by region, brand or motorway vs. city stations.
- **Station owners** watching competitors' prices in their area.
- **Researchers** studying energy prices across European markets.

### Data sources

| Country | Source | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| France | prix-carburants (Ministère de l'Économie) via data.economie.gouv.fr, Licence Ouverte | all ~9,800 stations, updated every few minutes |
| Spain | Geoportal Gasolineras REST service (Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica) | all ~11,400 stations, updated several times a day |
| Austria | Spritpreisrechner API (E-Control, the official price transparency database) | the cheapest stations of each of ~90 districts, the part E-Control publishes |
| United Kingdom | open fuel price feeds the retailers publish under the CMA scheme (Asda, Esso, Moto, SGN, JET, Rontec, Tesco, Shell, Morrisons and others when online) | ~1,000–2,500 stations depending on which feeds are fresh |

Some UK retailer feeds are not updated any more; with the default `maxPriceAgeDays` of 14 those stations are left out (and you are not charged for them). Set it to 0 to keep everything.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `countries` | `FR`, `ES`, `AT`, `UK` (one or more) |
| `fuelTypes` | keep stations selling at least one of these fuels; the first is used for "cheapest first" |
| `latitude`, `longitude`, `radiusKm` | optional radius search |
| `cities` | keep stations whose city or address contains one of these words |
| `postalCodePrefixes` | e.g. `75` (Paris), `28` (Madrid province), `SW1` (London) |
| `brands` | e.g. `Repsol`, `Cepsa`, `Asda`, `OMV` (France's feed has no brand names) |
| `sortBy` | `none`, `price`, `distance` |
| `maxPriceAgeDays` | default 14; 0 keeps all |
| `maxResults` | default 1,000, up to 50,000 |

Example — the 20 cheapest diesel stations within 15 km of Madrid:

```json
{
  "countries": ["ES"],
  "fuelTypes": ["diesel"],
  "latitude": "40.4168",
  "longitude": "-3.7038",
  "radiusKm": 15,
  "sortBy": "price",
  "maxResults": 20
}
```

### Output

One row per station:

```json
{
  "country": "ES",
  "stationId": "ES-14123",
  "brand": "MOEVE",
  "address": "PASEO CUBA (LA), 36",
  "postalCode": "02005",
  "city": "Albacete",
  "region": "Albacete",
  "latitude": 39.005083,
  "longitude": -1.859917,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "unit": "per litre",
  "diesel": 1.949,
  "premiumDiesel": 2.049,
  "e5": 1.744,
  "superPlus": 1.904,
  "lpg": 1.154,
  "pricesUpdatedAt": "2026-11-01T11:42:45Z",
  "distanceKm": 3.12,
  "cheapestFuelPrice": 1.154,
  "source": "geoportalgasolineras.es (MITECO REST service)"
}
```

Extra fields by country: France adds `roadType` (road / motorway), `open24h`, `services` and `fuelUpdatedAt` (a timestamp per fuel); Spain adds `openingHours`; the UK adds `retailer`. Prices are per litre in EUR (FR, ES, AT) or GBP (UK).

#### Fuel name mapping

| Column | France | Spain | Austria | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `diesel` | Gazole | Gasóleo A | Diesel | B7 |
| `premiumDiesel` | — | Gasóleo Premium | — | SDV (super diesel) |
| `e10` | E10 | Gasolina 95 E10 | — | E10 |
| `e5` | SP95 | Gasolina 95 E5 | Super 95 | — |
| `superPlus` | SP98 | Gasolina 98 E5 | — | E5 (super unleaded) |
| `lpg` | GPLc | GLP | — | — |
| `e85` | E85 | Gasolina 95 E85 | — | — |
| `cng` | — | GNC | CNG | — |

### How much does it cost?

**$0.50 per 1,000 stations** returned (plus $0.001 per run start). Stations filtered out by your filters or the age limit are free. Higher Apify plans get a further discount (up to 15%).

Worked examples:

1. **Cheapest 20 stations around one city** — 20 rows = **$0.011** per run. Run it hourly for a month: about **$8**.
2. **All of France once a day** — ~9,000 fresh stations = **$4.50** per run.
3. **All of Spain + France for a weekly trend dataset** — ~20,000 rows = **$10** per week.

The platform compute for a full country is a few seconds at 512 MB.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** Yes. Every source is official open data published for reuse: France under the Licence Ouverte (Etalab), Spain's ministry REST service for public price information, Austria's E-Control price transparency API, and the UK retailers' feeds published so that third parties can show their prices. The actor only reads those public feeds. It collects no personal data.

**Why does Austria return fewer stations?** E-Control's public API returns the cheapest stations of each district (Austrian law makes stations report prices, and the public database shows the cheapest ones). The actor queries every district and merges the results.

**Why are some UK chains missing?** A few retailers have stopped updating or removed their feeds; the run log lists every feed and when it was last updated. Feeds that come back online are picked up automatically.

**How fresh are the prices?** France updates every few minutes, Spain several times a day, Austria in real time, UK feeds daily. Every row carries `pricesUpdatedAt`.

**Can I get Italy or Germany?** Not yet — Germany's open data needs a personal key and Italy's ministry server is not reliably reachable. Tell us in an issue if you need them.

### Integrations

Schedule the actor in Apify (hourly, daily) and send results to Google Sheets, Slack, a webhook, Make, Zapier or n8n, or pull the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel through the Apify API.

### Changelog

- **0.1** (November 2026) — first release: France, Spain, Austria, UK; normalised fuel columns; radius search; cheapest/nearest sorting; city, postal code and brand filters; stale-price filter.

# Actor input Schema

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Which countries to read. FR = all ~9,800 French stations, ES = all ~11,400 Spanish stations, AT = the cheapest stations of every Austrian district (that is what E-Control publishes), UK = the retailers' open price feeds (Asda, Esso, Moto, SGN, JET and more).

## `fuelTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep only stations that sell at least one of these fuels (and use the first one for sorting by price). Leave empty for all fuels.

## `latitude` (type: `string`):

Optional centre point for a radius search, e.g. 48.8566 (Paris). Use together with longitude and radius.

## `longitude` (type: `string`):

Optional centre point longitude, e.g. 2.3522.

## `radiusKm` (type: `integer`):

Radius around the centre point.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Optional: keep only stations whose city or address contains one of these words (e.g. Lyon, Madrid, Leeds).

## `postalCodePrefixes` (type: `array`):

Optional: keep only stations whose postal code starts with one of these (e.g. 75 for Paris, 28 for Madrid province, SW1 for London).

## `brands` (type: `array`):

Optional: keep only these brands (matched in brand or station name, e.g. Repsol, Asda, OMV). France's feed carries no brand names.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order of the results. Price uses the first fuel in Fuel types (diesel if none).

## `maxPriceAgeDays` (type: `integer`):

Leave out stations whose prices were last updated more than this many days ago (some UK retailer feeds are stale). 0 = keep all.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many stations.
