## Pricing

from $2.55 / 1,000 product extracteds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Product Page Extractor: Price, Stock, GTIN & Variants from Any Store

Turn any online store's product pages into **clean, structured product data**: name, brand, price and currency, list (compare-at) price and discount, stock status, SKU, GTIN / EAN / UPC, MPN, category, condition, images, star rating, review count, shipping cost, return window and **every variant** (size, color...) with its own SKU, barcode, price and stock.

It works on **most online stores**, because stores publish this data in the standard schema.org Product format that search engines read for rich results and shopping listings: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento / Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, PrestaShop, Shopware, Wix, Squarespace and custom sites. Paste product URLs, or point the actor at a store's homepage, sitemap or category page and it finds the products for you.

Need a **price tracker**? Give the run a monitor name and schedule it: every run compares with the previous one and flags price drops, price rises and stock changes.

### What does Product Page Extractor do?

- Reads the product data each page already publishes: schema.org JSON-LD first (Product, ProductGroup with variants, AggregateOffer), microdata next, Open Graph product tags last, plus the public product JSON on Shopify stores.
- Normalizes it into the same columns for every store: `price` as a number, `currency`, `availability` (InStock, OutOfStock, PreOrder, BackOrder...), `inStock` true/false, `listPrice` and `discountPercent` when the store shows a strike-through price.
- Lists **variants** with SKU, GTIN, price, stock and options (color, size, material).
- Resolves linked data (brands, offers and images stored elsewhere on the page).
- **Discovers products** from a store's sitemap (it reads robots.txt to find it; product sitemaps first, `.xml.gz` supported) or from a category / collection page.
- Detects the store platform (`platform`) and reports category pages you pasted by mistake instead of charging for them.
- **Price monitor**: remembers each product's last price and stock in a named key-value store on your Apify account and adds `previousPrice`, `change`, `priceChange` and `priceChangePercent`. Optionally outputs only the products that changed.
- Respects robots.txt. Pages without product data, blocked pages and refused sites are **never charged**.
- Honors the run's **Max items** option and your spend limit exactly.

### Who is it for?

- **E-commerce and pricing teams** watching competitor prices, discounts and stock-outs.
- **Brands** checking MAP (minimum advertised price) compliance on their retailers' and resellers' own sites.
- **Dropshippers and resellers** tracking supplier prices and availability.
- **Marketplaces, comparison sites and catalog builders** importing products with GTINs and images.
- **SEO agencies** auditing product rich-result markup (missing GTIN, brand, availability or reviews).
- **AI and data teams** building product datasets.

Other columns: `mpn`, `category`, `condition`, `priceValidUntil`, `seller`, `shippingCost`, `returnDays`, `images`, `description`, `finalUrl`. With a monitor name: `previousPrice`, `previousAvailability`, `previousCheckedAt`, `change`, `priceChange`, `priceChangePercent`. Pages without product data come back with an `error` explaining why (no markup, blocked, category page, robots.txt) and are free.

Export as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read results through the Apify API.

### How much does it cost?

- **$3.00 per 1,000 products extracted** (one product = one row, with all its variants)
- Pages without product data, blocked pages and refused sites: **free**
- $0.001 per run start

Worked examples:

1. **Check 40 competitor products every morning:** 40 × $0.003 = $0.12 a day, **about $3.60 a month**. With `onlyChanges` on you pay only for products whose price or stock changed.
2. **Import a 1,500-product Shopify catalog with variants and barcodes:** **about $4.50**.
3. **MAP check of one product line across 25 reseller sites (200 pages):** **about $0.60**.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Apify plans pay less per product. Compute is small (256 MB, plain HTTP, no browser).

### Tips

- **Whole store:** put the homepage in `discoverFrom`; the actor reads the sitemap named in robots.txt. Shopify stores list products in `/sitemap_products_1.xml`, WooCommerce in `/product-sitemap.xml`.
- **Daily price tracker:** set `monitorName`, turn on `onlyChanges`, and add an Apify schedule. Connect a webhook, Slack or email integration to get the changed rows.
- **Barcodes:** `gtin` is read from gtin13 / gtin12 / gtin14 / gtin8 / gtin; Shopify variant barcodes come from the store's product JSON.
- **Markup audit:** run a store's sitemap with `skipFailed` off; empty `gtin`, `brand` or `availability` columns show what the store's product markup is missing for Google Shopping.

### FAQ

**Which stores work?**
Any store that publishes schema.org Product data, which is nearly every store that wants to appear in search results. A few big retailers block datacenter IPs; those pages are reported as blocked and not charged, and `useResidentialProxy` retries them.

**Which sites are refused?**
Large marketplaces whose terms forbid automated access (for example Amazon, eBay, Walmart, AliExpress, Temu, Etsy) are not read. The actor is built for brand stores, D2C shops and retailers' own websites.

**Is it legal?**
The actor reads publicly available pages you choose, follows robots.txt, and returns the product facts (prices, stock, identifiers) the stores publish for search engines. It does not log in and collects no personal data. Respect each store's copyright if you republish descriptions or photos.

**Does it need a browser?**
No. Product markup is in the page source, so plain HTTP requests are enough: fast and cheap.

**Where is the price history kept?**
In a named key-value store on your own Apify account (`product-price-monitor-<name>`). Delete it to start fresh, or use another monitor name.

**Why is a page a "category/listing page"?**
You pasted a collection or search page (or the product URL redirected to one). Put such pages in `discoverFrom` to extract every product on them.

### Integrations

Send products to Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion or your database with Apify integrations, run it from Make, Zapier or n8n, call it from Python or JavaScript with the Apify client, or let an AI agent use it through the Apify MCP server.

### Changelog

# Actor input Schema

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Product pages to extract, one per line. Each page with a product gives one row (variants are listed inside it).

## `discoverFrom` (type: `array`):

Store homepages (the store's sitemap is read), product sitemaps (sitemap_products_1.xml, product-sitemap.xml, .xml.gz) or category/collection pages. The actor finds the product links there and extracts them.

## `maxProductsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

How many products to take from each discovery source / store.

## `maxProducts` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on products extracted (and charged) in this run.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Give a name (e.g. 'competitor-shoes') to remember each product's price and stock in a named key-value store on your account. Every later run with the same name adds previousPrice, change (new / price_down / price_up / availability / none), priceChange and priceChangePercent. Schedule the run daily for a price tracker.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

With a price monitor name: leave unchanged products out of the dataset (and out of the bill). The first run outputs everything as 'new'.

## `includeVariants` (type: `boolean`):

List every variant (size, color...) with its own SKU, GTIN, price and stock status inside the product row.

## `descriptionMaxChars` (type: `integer`):

Characters of product description to keep (0 = leave the description out).

## `maxImages` (type: `integer`):

How many image URLs to keep in 'images' (0 = only the main image).

## `includeRawSchema` (type: `boolean`):

Add the page's full schema.org Product object as 'rawSchema' (for fields not mapped to columns).

## `skipFailed` (type: `boolean`):

Leave pages without product data out of the dataset (they are never charged either way).

## `respectRobotsTxt` (type: `boolean`):

Skip pages the site's robots.txt disallows (recommended).

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

Pages fetched at the same time (1-10). Keep it low for small stores.

## `useResidentialProxy` (type: `boolean`):

Some large stores block datacenter IPs (HTTP 403/429). Turn this on to retry those pages through Apify residential proxy (billed by Apify per GB of proxy traffic on your account; most stores do not need it).
