## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## Drogasil Brazil Pharmacy Product & Price Scraper

Search Drogasil Brazil and export structured online pharmacy data. This Drogasil scraper and API returns medicines, vitamins, personal care and beauty products with current prices, discounts, stock, EAN, brands, categories, package details, prescription indicators, images and product URLs.

Use it for pharmacy price monitoring, medicine catalog analysis, health and beauty assortment research, stock tracking, brand intelligence and product feeds in JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or through the Apify API and webhooks.

### Data you receive

- Product ID, SKU and EAN
- Product name, brand, package amount and category hierarchy
- Current price, previous price and discount percentage in BRL
- Availability and available quantity
- Generic, prescription and temperature-sensitive indicators
- Promotions, seller, image URL and direct product URL
- Search term, page, rank and collection timestamp

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `term` | string | Product, medicine, brand or category to search. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Optional result limit. Omit it to continue through the available search. |
| `maxPages` | integer | Optional page limit. Omit it to continue until the source ends. |
| `startPage` | integer | First result page, starting at 1. |
| `maxRuntimeSecs` | integer | Runtime safety budget; collected products are preserved. |
| `requestTimeoutSecs` | integer | Maximum wait for one source response. |
| `failOnNoResults` | boolean | Fail instead of returning an auditable `no_results` row. |

```json
{
  "term": "vitamina d",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Example result

```json
{
  "status": "success",
  "source": "Drogasil Brasil",
  "product_id": "403037",
  "sku_id": "403037",
  "ean": "7897947600904",
  "title": "Vitamina D 2.000UI Lavitan 30 comprimidos",
  "brand": "Lavitan",
  "price": 22.4,
  "currency": "BRL",
  "available": true,
  "prescription_required": false,
  "source_url": "https://www.drogasil.com.br/..."
}
```

### Pagination and billing

Products and live commercial offers are joined before output, saved progressively and deduplicated. Without `maxItems` or `maxPages`, the Actor continues until the search ends or the runtime safety budget is reached. Availability and prices can vary by location on the storefront.

Each valid product stored in the Dataset costs **USD 0.003**. Operational rows such as `no_results`, `blocked`, `partial` or `failed` are not result events. Apify platform usage is paid by the user running the Actor.

The Dataset is intended for catalog and price research, not medical advice. Drogasil is a trademark of its respective owner. This independent tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by Drogasil.
