## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## Netshoes Brazil Product & Price Scraper

Search Netshoes Brazil and export structured sports ecommerce data. This Netshoes scraper and API returns sneakers, apparel and sports products with prices, discounts, availability, sizes, colors, ratings, sellers, installments, images and direct URLs.

Use it for sneaker price monitoring, sports assortment analysis, seller intelligence, brand tracking, promotion monitoring, competitor research and product feeds in JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or through the Apify API and webhooks.

### Data you receive

- Product, parent-product and SKU identifiers
- Name, brand, department and product type
- Current price, list price and discount percentage in BRL
- Available sizes and colors
- Rating, review count, seller and seller score
- Installments, payment method and promotions
- Image URL, product URL, page, rank and timestamp

### Input

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `term` | string | Product, brand, sport or category to search. |
| `maxItems` | integer | Optional result limit. Omit it to continue through the available search. |
| `maxPages` | integer | Optional page limit. Omit it to continue until the source ends. |
| `startPage` | integer | First result page, starting at 1. |
| `maxRuntimeSecs` | integer | Runtime safety budget; collected products are preserved. |
| `requestTimeoutSecs` | integer | Maximum wait for one source response. |
| `failOnNoResults` | boolean | Fail instead of returning an auditable `no_results` row. |

```json
{
  "term": "tenis adidas",
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Example result

```json
{
  "status": "success",
  "source": "Netshoes Brasil",
  "product_id": "FBA-4136",
  "sku_id": "FBA-4136-028-38",
  "title": "Tenis Adidas VL Court 3.0 Feminino",
  "brand": "Adidas",
  "price": 299.99,
  "list_price": 399.99,
  "discount_percent": 25,
  "currency": "BRL",
  "rating": 4.89,
  "sizes": ["35", "36", "37", "38"],
  "seller_name": "Adidas",
  "source_url": "https://www.netshoes.com.br/p/..."
}
```

### Pagination and billing

The Actor saves products progressively in deterministic page order and removes duplicates. Without `maxItems` or `maxPages`, it continues until the search ends or the runtime safety budget is reached. Current offers are retrieved before a row is billed; missing offers are never invented.

Each valid product stored in the Dataset costs **USD 0.003**. Operational rows such as `no_results`, `blocked`, `partial` or `failed` are not result events. Apify platform usage is paid by the user running the Actor.

### Output status

- `success`: a valid product with a current offer
- `no_results`: the requested page has no products
- `partial`: earlier products were preserved after a later source problem
- `blocked` or `failed`: the source could not be read; no product is fabricated
