## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Colombia Company Finder: NIT, RUES, Supersociedades, public contacts

**By [LatSouth](https://latsouth.com).** Search **1.82 million Colombian companies** (1,816,257 NITs) from Confecámaras'
RUES registry, enriched with the Superintendencia de Sociedades filings: filter by **department, CIIU / ISIC Rev.4
activity, size, registration date and Supersociedades filer**, and get NIT with its check digit, legal name, legal form,
status and, where the company publishes them on its own website, **public company contacts** (role e-mails, company
phones, social profiles).

Company data only: never owners, legal representatives, personal mailboxes or the registry's mobile numbers.

| | |
|---|---|
| Rows | 1,816,257 NITs · **824,782** active, private, not sole-owner (the default filters) |
| Data as of | RUES 2026-10-02 · Supersociedades NIIF 2025 · public contacts fetched 2026-10-22 |
| Price | US$0.003 per company returned: **1,000 companies = US$3** |
| Typical run | about 7 s on the platform (prefilled example 6.8 s; 100 IT companies with a public contact in Bogotá + Antioquia 7.6 s) |

### Who it's for

- **Sales teams entering Colombia**: "IT companies in Bogotá registered since 2024", "medium and large Supersociedades
filers in Antioquia", "manufacturers with a public sales e-mail".
- **Market sizing**: `OUTPUT.total_matching` counts the whole segment even when you pull a sample.
- **Lead lists**: `only_with_public_contact` keeps companies whose own website lists a role e-mail, phone or profile.

### Output

LatSouth unified schema (same names as the [LATAM Company Finder](https://apify.com/latsouth/latam-company-finder)):
`tax_id` (NIT without check digit) and `tax_id_formatted` (`900.272.469-1`, check digit computed), `legal_name`,
`trade_name` (sigla), `legal_form`, `legal_form_normalized`, `is_active`, `status` (active, liquidation, not_renewed,
cancelled), `activity_code_local` / `activity_label_local`, `activity_label_en`, `isic_section` / `isic_division`,
`size_class`, `region` (department), `city`, `address`, `email_domain`, `has_corporate_email`, `website_guess`,
`registration_date`, `supersociedades_filer`, and the contact block `public_role_emails`, `public_phones`,
`linkedin_url`, `instagram_url`, `facebook_url`, `has_public_contact`, `contact_source_url`, `contact_fetched_at`, plus
`data_as_of`, `source`, `source_license`.

#### Public contact rules

Contacts come from the company's **own homepage** (the domain of its registered corporate e-mail), and ship only when:
the domain belongs to that single NIT (not shared by several companies, not an accountant's or agency's domain); the
e-mail is a **role mailbox** (ventas@, info@, contacto@, facturacion@...) on that domain — a person's mailbox
(juan.perez@) is never returned; the phone is in Colombia's current numbering plan (+57 3XX XXX XXXX mobile or
+57 60X XXX XXXX landline); and the value is not repeated across more than 3 websites. Sole-owner (masked) companies
never carry contacts.

### Sources, licence and attribution

Confecámaras RUES (datos.gov.co `c82u-588k`), Superintendencia de Sociedades NIIF 2025 financial statements
(`6hqw-m3dm`, `prwj-nzxa`), Cámara de Comercio de Ibagué (`gwqv-sqvs`) and de Pereira (`c35x-mutb`), all published under
**CC BY-SA 4.0**. Colombian rows, and works you derive from them, must be shared under the same licence
(<https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/>). Keep this credit (each row's `source` holds the datasets that
contributed to it):

Public contacts: LatSouth, from each company's public homepage (fetch date in `contact_fetched_at`).

### Limitations

- **City, address and size exist only for Supersociedades filers** (~29k, the larger companies) and two chambers.
`region` is the department of the registering chamber, which matches the company's department ~95% of the time.
- Industry is exact at ISIC **division** level; Colombia's CIIU classes differ from ISIC classes, so `isic_class` is empty.
- Public contacts cover 7,429 companies today (the crawl started from registered corporate domains); coverage grows with
each refresh. Phones are only numbers written on the page in the current national plan (mobile 3XX XXX XXXX,
landline 60X XXX XXXX; an old-format landline is converted with the official 60 prefix).
- Registrations without a NIT (194k) are not included.

### Pricing

Pay per event: `company-result`, **US$0.003** per company row returned (1,000 = US$3). Set a maximum cost per run and the
actor stops when it is reached (`OUTPUT.stopped_by_budget`). Full files and custom segments:
