## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Dominican Republic Company Finder: RNC, ISIC activity, MSME size

**By [LatSouth](https://latsouth.com).** Search **80,939 Dominican legal entities with an RNC**: every company registered
as a **state supplier** (DGCP, Registro de Proveedores del Estado) or **certified as an MSME** (MICM). Filter by **ISIC
Rev.4 activity, size (Ley 187-17), legal form, incorporation date and status**, and get RNC, legal name and English
industry labels in the LatSouth schema.

Company data only: natural persons (cédulas), gender and occupation fields are never read; no e-mail, phone, address,
owners or legal representatives. E.I.R.L. (single-owner) names are masked as `***`.

| | |
|---|---|
| Rows | 80,939 RNCs · **36,593** active, private, not sole-owner (the default filters) |

| Price | US$0.003 per company returned: **1,000 companies = US$3** |

**Coverage is not the whole RNC register**: it is the companies that registered to sell to the State or certified as
micro, small or medium enterprises. The DGII full RNC list is published for non-commercial use only, so it is not used.

### Sources, licence and attribution

- Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP), "Proveedores del Estado" (<https://datos.gob.do/dataset/proveedores-del-estado>)
- Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM), "Micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas certificadas"

Both are published on datos.gob.do under the **Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0**
(<https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/>): commercial use allowed with attribution; a database derived from them
that you make public must also be offered under the ODbL. Keep this credit (each row's `source` holds it):

> Fuente: DGCP, Proveedores del Estado (datos.gob.do, actualizado 2026-07-15); MICM, Mipymes certificadas (datos.gob.do,
> actualizado 2026-10-02). Licencia ODbL 1.0. Datos transformados (solo personas juridicas con RNC, actividad
> clasificada en ISIC Rev.4, nombres de empresas individuales enmascarados); no es un producto oficial de la DGCP ni del
> MICM.

### Limitations

- Coverage = state suppliers + certified MSMEs (about 40% of the ~201k active company RNCs).
- No address or province is published by these sources.
- ISIC comes from MICM's free-text activity (manual table for the most frequent texts, then exact / prefix / token match
to the ISIC-based CLAE labels with the same head verb); rows registered only as suppliers have no activity.

### Pricing

Pay per event: `company-result`, **US$0.003** per company row returned (1,000 = US$3). Set a maximum cost per run and the
actor stops when it is reached (`OUTPUT.stopped_by_budget`).
