## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Paraguay Company Finder: DNIT RUC registry, legal form, status

**By [LatSouth](https://latsouth.com).** Search **174,404 Paraguayan legal entities** (RUC 80) from the Dirección Nacional
de Ingresos Tributarios' RUC listing: filter by **name keyword, legal form and status**, and get the RUC with its check
digit, legal name, harmonized legal form and status in the LatSouth schema.

Company data only: natural persons (whose RUC is their cédula) are not in the data; no e-mail, phone, address, owners or
legal representatives. Names built from a person's name (E.I.R.L., E.A.S. unipersonal, estates, co-ownerships of named
persons) are masked as `***`.

| | |
|---|---|
| Rows | 174,404 RUCs · **88,743** active, private, not sole-owner (the default filters) |
| Data as of | 2026-10-01 (DNIT monthly listing); every row carries `data_as_of` |
| Price | US$0.003 per company returned: **1,000 companies = US$3** |

### Who it's for

- **KYB / onboarding**: confirm that a Paraguayan RUC exists, its legal name and whether DNIT lists it as active.
- **Market sizing**: count S.A. / S.R.L. / E.A.S. / cooperatives by keyword (`OUTPUT.total_matching`).
- **List building**: start from a name keyword ("agro", "transporte", "import") and enrich downstream.

### Coverage (default filters = 88,743 companies)

| Legal form (`legal_form_normalized`) | Companies |
|---|---:|
| Corporations (S.A., S.A.E.C.A., E.A.S.) | 53,953 |
| Non-profits (associations, foundations, committees) | 18,416 |
| Limited liability (S.R.L.) | 10,704 |
| Consortia, funds, cooperatives, partnerships, branches | 3,305 |
| Unknown form | 2,365 |

Status of all rows: active 99,334 · temporarily suspended 51,276 · cancelled 15,317 · blocked 8,477. "AGRO" in the name:
2,910 active companies.

**Not published by DNIT**: economic activity, address / department, size, workers, registration date. Use the keyword on
the name and the legal-form filter.

### Input examples

The Console form is prefilled with `{"keyword": "agro", "legal_forms": ["corp_like"], "max_results": 10}`.

```json
{ "keyword": "transporte", "legal_forms": ["corp_like", "llc_like"] }
```

```json
```

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `keyword` | Case- and accent-insensitive substring in the legal name |
| `legal_forms` | `corp_like`, `llc_like`, `partnership`, `coop`, `nonprofit`, `joint_venture`, `foreign_branch`, `fund`, `public`, `unknown` |
| `only_active`, `exclude_public_sector`, `exclude_sole_owner` | Default **true** |
| `sort_by` | `tax_id` |
| `max_results` | Default 1,000 via API |

### Sources, licence and attribution

### Limitations

- Name, RUC and status only: no activity, address, size or dates are published by DNIT.
- `legal_form` is inferred from the registered name (the listing has no legal-form column); 2,365 active companies have
  no recognizable form.
- E.A.S. unipersonal names are masked like every single-owner form (LatSouth rule), even when the name is a brand.

### Pricing

Pay per event: `company-result`, **US$0.003** per company row returned (1,000 = US$3). Set a maximum cost per run and the
actor stops when it is reached (`OUTPUT.stopped_by_budget`).

# Actor input Schema

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Case- and accent-insensitive substring in the company name (e.g. agro, transporte, software).

## `legal_forms` (type: `array`):

Harmonized legal form (inferred from the registered name). Leave empty for all.

## `only_active` (type: `boolean`):

Keep RUCs that DNIT lists as ACTIVO (about 57%; the rest are temporarily suspended, cancelled or blocked).

## `exclude_public_sector` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out government bodies, state-owned companies and international organizations.

## `exclude_sole_owner` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out sole-owner companies (EIRL, unipersonal, EIRELI) and entities whose name is a person's name. Their names are masked (\*\*\*) anyway.

## `sort_by` (type: `string`):

Order of results.

## `max_results` (type: `integer`):

You pay per company returned (US$0.003 each: 1,000 companies = US$3). The run also stops at your spending limit. Default 1,000 when called via API without this field.
