## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## B2B Lead Generator: Companies, Emails & Decision Makers — from $12 per 1,000 leads

Turn a list of companies — or a **LinkedIn jobs search** — into complete B2B leads in one run: company facts, public emails and phones, social links, tech stack, and **named decision makers with a calibrated work-email guess**. No login, no cookies, no setup. Built for outbound sales, agencies and recruiters.

### What you get for every lead

- **Company:** name, website, LinkedIn page, industry, size, employees, followers, headquarters, founded year, description, logo.
- **Contact:** public emails (role vs personal), phones, contact page, whether there is a contact form, and the mail provider.
- **Online presence:** LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, GitHub and Pinterest links, plus the tech stack (Shopify, WordPress, HubSpot, Stripe and more).
- **Decision makers:** named people with titles from the company's own team and leadership pages, most senior first (C-level, founders, VPs, directors), each with a best-guess email, a confidence score and two alternatives.
- **Hiring signal (hiring search):** the open roles that led you to the company.
- **Completeness score:** how complete the lead is, so you can sort the best first.

### Three ways to start

1. **Company list:** websites, domains, LinkedIn company URLs or names.
2. **Hiring search:** `{"keywords":"sales manager","location":"Texas","maxCompanies":100}` finds companies hiring right now and enriches them.
3. **Both together.**

### Why the email scores are believable

- **Seen on the website (~97%):** the exact address is published.
- **Format seen on the website (usually 55-80%):** real addresses at that company use the same format.
- **No evidence (~30%, labeled low):** the guess uses the most common formats only.
  Nothing is verified or sent. Run the best guesses through an email verifier before a campaign.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, no monthly fee.

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Lead (one company, fully enriched) | $12 per 1,000 ($0.012 per lead) |
| Decision maker with an email guess | $4 per 1,000 ($0.004 per person) |
| Actor start | $0.00005 |

Companies that can't be found are returned with an `error` and are **not charged**. Set a maximum spend per run and the Actor stops exactly at your limit. Free Apify accounts are limited to **25 companies per run**.

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": ["apify.com", "https://www.linkedin.com/company/hubspot"],
  "hiringSearch": { "keywords": "sales manager", "location": "Texas", "maxCompanies": 50 },
  "findPeople": true,
  "maxPeoplePerCompany": 5,
  "titleKeywords": ["CEO", "founder", "sales"]
}
```

### Output (shortened)

```json
{
  "company": { "name": "Apify", "domain": "apify.com", "industry": "Technology, Information and Internet", "companySize": "201-500 employees", "headquarters": "Prague" },
  "contact": { "emails": [{ "email": "support@apify.com", "type": "role", "onCompanyDomain": true }], "phones": [], "hasContactForm": true, "mailProvider": "google" },
  "socials": { "linkedin": ["..."], "twitter": ["https://x.com/apify"] },
  "technologies": ["HubSpot", "Google Analytics", "Intercom", "Next.js"],
  "people": [{ "fullName": "Jan Curn", "title": "Founder & CEO", "seniority": "c-level", "bestEmail": "jan.curn@apify.com", "emailConfidence": 30, "emailConfidenceLabel": "low", "emailPattern": "first.last" }],
  "hiring": null,
  "completeness": 90
}
```

### Honest limits

- **People come only from the company's own team or leadership page.** Many companies don't publish one, so some leads have no people. The Actor returns none rather than wrong names.
- **No full LinkedIn employee lists.** That data needs a login, which this Actor never uses.
- **A bare name like `notion`** is read as a LinkedIn company name and can match the wrong company. Use the website or full URL for accuracy.
- Large runs take time: roughly 1,000 companies per hour or two.

### Feedback and reviews

Found a bug, or need a field or filter added? Open an issue on this Actor's **Issues** tab and it will be looked at quickly. If this Actor saved you time, a short and honest review helps other people find it. Thank you!

### Legal

Uses only public web pages, public LinkedIn pages and DNS records. It never logs in. Names and emails of people are personal data: you are responsible for lawful use (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL and similar rules), including having a legitimate reason to contact them.
