## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## LinkedIn Profile Scraper (No Login, No Cookies) — $3 per 1,000 profiles

Get **public LinkedIn profile data in bulk** from a list of profile URLs: name, headline, location, about, current companies, schools, followers and connections. No LinkedIn account, no cookies, no browser. Built for lead enrichment, recruiting research and CRM updates.

### Why use it

- **Low price:** $3 per 1,000 profiles, no monthly fee.
- **No login or cookies:** reads only the public profile page anyone can open.
- **Lead-gen ready:** current companies (with LinkedIn company links) and job titles, so you can chain results into a company scraper.
- **Pay only for results:** profiles that are private or unavailable are returned with an `error` field and are **never charged**. Set a maximum spend per run and the Actor stops exactly at your limit.

### Pricing

Pay-per-event, no monthly fee.

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Profile scraped | $3 per 1,000 ($0.003 per profile) |
| Actor start | $0.00005 |

### Free plan

Free Apify accounts are limited to **25 profiles per run**. Any paid Apify plan removes the limit (up to 10,000 profiles per run).

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Profiles** | Public LinkedIn profile URLs (`https://www.linkedin.com/in/...`), up to 10,000 per run. |
| **Proxy configuration** | Apify Proxy is on by default and recommended. |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "profiles": ["https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates", "https://www.linkedin.com/in/reidhoffman"],
  "proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": true }
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "slug": "williamhgates",
  "url": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates",
  "fullName": "Bill Gates",
  "headline": "Chair, Gates Foundation and Founder, Breakthrough Energy",
  "about": "Chair of the Gates Foundation. Founder of Breakthrough Energy...",
  "location": "Seattle, Washington, United States",
  "country": "US",
  "jobTitles": ["Co-chair", "Founder", "Co-founder"],
  "currentCompanies": [{ "name": "Gates Foundation", "url": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/gates-foundation", "startYear": 2000, "endYear": null }],
  "education": [{ "name": "Harvard University", "url": "https://www.linkedin.com/school/harvard-university/", "startYear": 1973, "endYear": 1975 }],
  "followers": 40720195,
  "connections": "500+",
  "photoUrl": "https://media.licdn.com/...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-11T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### What this does not return

Only what LinkedIn shows publicly to people who are not logged in. That means no full work history, skills, recommendations, email or phone, and profiles set to private are not available. Fields that aren't shown come back as `null`.

### Use cases

- **Lead enrichment:** add title, company and location to a list of profile URLs.
- **Recruiting research:** quick public snapshot of candidates.
- **Account mapping:** link people to their current companies, then enrich the companies with a company scraper.

### Tips

- Keep Apify Proxy on. LinkedIn limits public profile requests quickly.
- For big lists, run in batches of a few hundred.

### Limits and legal

Collects only publicly available profile information, the same pages anyone can open without signing in. It does not log in, use cookies, bypass authentication or access private data. Profile data can be personal data: you are responsible for lawful use under privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA, and under LinkedIn's terms. Not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.

### Feedback and reviews

Found a bug, or need a field or filter added? Open an issue on this Actor's **Issues** tab and it will be looked at quickly. If this Actor saved you time, a short and honest review helps other people find it. Thank you!

# Actor input Schema

## `profiles` (type: `array`):

Public LinkedIn profile URLs, e.g. <code>https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates</code>. Up to 10,000 per run (free Apify plans: 25 per run). Profiles that are private or need a login are returned with an error and are not charged.

    "https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamhgates"
  ],
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
