## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Scraper: Emails, Phones, Socials, Tech — $2 per 1,000 websites

Give it a list of company websites. For each one it reads the homepage and the contact, about and team pages, and returns the **public emails, phone numbers, social media links, page info and tech stack**. No login, no browser, and it **respects robots.txt**. Built for lead generation and outreach lists.

### Why use it

- **Low price:** $2 per 1,000 websites, no monthly fee. Unreachable sites are never charged.
- **Clean results:** removes placeholder emails, image-file lookalikes and scrambled text, decodes Cloudflare-protected emails and `name [at] site [dot] com` styles.
- **Everything in one pass:** emails (role vs personal, on-domain vs third-party), phones, LinkedIn/Facebook/Instagram/X/YouTube/TikTok/GitHub/Pinterest links, title, description, language and tech (Shopify, WordPress, HubSpot, Stripe and more).
- **Polite and safe:** obeys robots.txt, crawls only a handful of pages per site, and stops exactly at your spend limit.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Website scraped | $2 per 1,000 ($0.002 per website) |
| Actor start | $0.00005 |

Websites that can't be reached are returned with an `error` field and are **not charged**.

### Free plan

Free Apify accounts are limited to **25 websites per run**. Any paid plan removes the limit (up to 10,000 per run).

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| **Websites** | URLs or domains, e.g. `stripe.com`. |
| **Pages per website** | Homepage plus contact/about/team pages. Default 5, maximum 15. |
| **Only emails on the website's own domain** | Hides gmail, yahoo and other third-party addresses. |
| **Respect robots.txt** | On by default. |
| **Proxy configuration** | Apify Proxy is on by default. |

#### Example input

```json
{ "websites": ["apify.com", "https://www.shopify.com"], "maxPagesPerSite": 5, "onlyCompanyDomainEmails": true }
```

### Output

```json
{
  "domain": "apify.com",
  "website": "https://apify.com",
  "emails": [{ "email": "support@apify.com", "type": "role", "onCompanyDomain": true, "freeMail": false, "source": "mailto", "sourceUrl": "https://apify.com/contact" }],
  "emailCount": 1,
  "phones": [],
  "socials": { "linkedin": ["http://linkedin.com/company/apify"], "twitter": ["https://x.com/apify"], "github": ["https://github.com/apify"] },
  "meta": { "title": "Apify: Full-stack web scraping and data extraction platform", "description": "...", "language": "en" },
  "technologies": ["HubSpot", "Google Analytics", "Next.js"],
  "pagesCrawled": ["https://apify.com/", "https://apify.com/contact"]
}
```

### Speed

About 2,500 websites per hour. A run of 10,000 sites takes several hours and stops cleanly at the time limit. Very large lists work best split into batches of a few thousand.

### Honest limits

It returns only what the website publishes. Many sites show no email at all, or hide it behind a contact form, so some results will have an empty list. Pair it with an email guesser if you need likely work emails for named people.

### Feedback and reviews

Found a bug, or need a field or filter added? Open an issue on this Actor's **Issues** tab and it will be looked at quickly. If this Actor saved you time, a short and honest review helps other people find it. Thank you!

### Legal

Collects only publicly published contact details and respects robots.txt. Emails of named people are personal data: you are responsible for lawful use (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL and similar rules), including having a lawful reason to contact them.
