## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## New Business Leads: Fresh LLC & Corp Filings (Colorado)

**Reach every new Colorado business in its first week, while it still needs a bank, accountant, insurance, website and payroll. About 1¢ a lead.**

The Actor pulls new filings from the **Colorado Secretary of State's official business registry** (about **13,000 new LLCs and corporations a month**). Each lead includes the business name, entity type, formation date, principal office address, mailing address, **registered agent name** (often the founder), and a link to the official filing.

👉 **Try it free:** new Apify accounts get **$5 of free credit every month**.

### Real sample leads (pulled October 2026)

| Business | Type | City | Registered agent | Formed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Haul Yeah! Junk Removal Ltd. | LLC | Colorado Springs | Tina Michelle Daliege | 2026-10-10 |
| Bubblezhu Inc | Corporation | Denver | Registered Agents Inc | 2026-10-10 |
| Boop Intelligence, Inc | Foreign corp. | San Francisco → CO | Registered Agents Inc | 2026-10-10 |

**ROI:** 1,000 brand-new businesses cost $10. A single bookkeeping, insurance or merchant-services client is usually worth hundreds of dollars a year.

### Who uses it

Accountants & bookkeepers · business insurance agents · banks, lenders & merchant services · web design, marketing & local SEO agencies · payroll/HR/PEO · commercial real estate & coworking · B2B SaaS.

### Smart filters

- **Name keywords** for niche targeting, e.g. `Construction`, `Dental`, `Realty`, `Cafe`.
- **Cities / ZIP codes** for your territory.
- **Entity types**: `DLLC` (LLC), `DPC` (corporation), or `FLLC`/`FPC` for out-of-state companies expanding into Colorado.
- `agentIsPerson` in the output flags filings where a real person (usually the owner) is the agent, not a filing service. Those make the best outreach leads.
- Nonprofits and delinquent entities are left out by default.

### Set it up as a daily lead feed

Keep **Only new since last run** on, choose **Schedule → Daily**, and connect Google Sheets, HubSpot, Zapier or Make.

### Input

```json
{ "cities": ["Denver", "Boulder"], "entityTypes": ["DLLC"], "nameKeywords": ["Construction", "Roofing"], "dateFrom": "7 days", "onlyNew": true }
```

### Output fields

`entityId, businessName, entityType, entityTypeName, status, formationDate, jurisdiction, address, city, state, zip, mailingAddress, registeredAgent, agentAddress, agentIsPerson, filingUrl, source`

### Pricing

**$0.01 per lead** ($10 per 1,000). No subscription.

### FAQ

**Source?** The Colorado Secretary of State's "Business Entities in Colorado" dataset on data.colorado.gov, which is official open data and updated daily.
**Phone/email?** Filings don't include them. Enrich with your usual tool, or reach out by mail to the principal address.
**More states?** Request yours in the Issues tab.
