## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Scraper: every open role, from just the company name

Type a company name and get every job it has open. You don't need to know which hiring system the company uses. Stripe runs on Greenhouse, OpenAI on Ashby and Hugging Face on Workable. The scraper works that out for you and returns all of them in the same columns.

It reads six systems: Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Recruitee and Workday. When we tested 40 well-known tech companies by name, it found 33 and never matched the wrong one.

A company it can't find costs nothing.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `company` | OpenAI (what you typed) |
| `ats` | ashby |
| `title` | Technical Program Manager, Compute Infrastructure |
| `department` / `team` | Technical Program Management |
| `location` | San Francisco |
| `isRemote` | true / false, when the board says |
| `employmentType` | FullTime |
| `salary` | $257K – $335K • Offers Equity |
| `description` | full job text, HTML removed |
| `url` / `applyUrl` | posting and application links |
| `postedAt` | 2026-03-12T16:38:15.322Z |

#### Sample output

```json
{
  "company": "OpenAI",
  "companyName": null,
  "ats": "ashby",
  "boardToken": "openai",
  "title": "Technical Program Manager, Compute Infrastructure",
  "department": "Technical Program Management",
  "team": "Technical Program Management",
  "location": "San Francisco",
  "isRemote": null,
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salary": "$257K – $335K • Offers Equity",
  "description": "ABOUT THE TEAM\n\nThe compute infrastructure team runs the GPU fleet...",
}
```

### Quick start

1. Put companies in **Companies**, one per line.
2. Click **Start**.

Three kinds of entry work, and you can mix them in one run:

- **A name**, like `Stripe` or `Hugging Face`. We look it up on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable and Recruitee.
- **A careers page**, like `https://www.notion.com/careers`. We find the job-board link inside it.
- **A job-board link**, like `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`. Workday companies need this one (for example `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`), because Workday has no name lookup.

The default input pulls 25 jobs each from Notion and Figma. It runs as-is in about 20 seconds.

### Filters

`titleContains` keeps jobs whose title has any of your words (`engineer`, `sales`). `locationContains` does the same for location (`remote`, `london`). Jobs that your filters drop are never charged. A run for Stripe with `engineer` + `remote` returned 16 jobs, out of the 724 Stripe had open.

### Use cases

- Sales teams: a company hiring five security engineers is probably shopping for security tools. Schedule a weekly run over your target accounts and watch the `department` column.
- Recruiters and job boards: one feed across hundreds of employers, whatever system each one uses.
- Investors and analysts: count open roles per company over time. Hiring tends to move before the press releases do.
- Job seekers: every remote role at your 30 dream companies, in one spreadsheet.

### What happens when something goes wrong

If a name isn't found, you get 0 rows and pay nothing. `RUN_SUMMARY` (in the run's key-value store) tells you which systems we checked and suggests pasting the careers page instead. If you enter the same company twice, by name and by link, you're charged once.

### Pricing

You pay per job delivered, plus Apify's small start fee per run. Descriptions don't cost extra. Set a maximum cost per run and the scraper stops at your limit; `maxJobsPerCompany` (default 25) caps each company.

### FAQ

**Why didn't it find my company by name?**
Some companies use a board name that's different from their brand, and some use a system we don't cover. Paste the careers page or any job link from it. If that page links to one of the six systems, it works.

**Is salary always there?**
No. It comes through when the company publishes a range: often on Ashby, sometimes on Lever and Recruitee. Greenhouse and Workday don't have a salary field, though many US postings put pay in the description.

**Why isn't SmartRecruiters supported?**
Its robots.txt file blocks every crawler except LinkedIn's, so we leave it alone.

**Is Workday slower?**
Yes. Workday needs one extra page load per job to get the description. Turn off `includeDescription` if you only need titles and links.

**Something broke?**
Open an issue with the company you tried. I answer within a day.

### Limitations

- Name lookup covers Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable and Recruitee. Workday needs a link.
- Very large companies on systems we don't cover (Rippling, Netflix, DoorDash in our test) won't be found. Their careers page will say "no supported job board".
- `department`, `team` and `location` are whatever each company typed, so naming varies.

### Export or use as an API

Download any run's results from the **Storage** tab as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

To call it from your own code, send your input to Apify's API and get the rows back in one request:

```
POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/leathered_latch~company-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN
```

It also plugs into Make, Zapier and n8n through Apify's integrations, and AI agents can find and run it through Apify's MCP server.

### Your responsibility

How you use the output is your call, and so is the legal side of it. Copyright still covers any text you republish. Each job board's own terms apply too. If you're unsure about a use, check with a lawyer first.

If you own content that shows up in these results and want it handled differently, open an issue on the Issues tab. We answer within 14 days.

### Data source and credit

Every row comes from the public job feeds that companies publish through Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable, Recruitee and Workday, for candidates to read. We don't own this data, and we don't take credit for it. The postings belong to the hiring companies.

The scraper reads only what any logged-out visitor can see. No logins, no applicant data. Each row keeps a link back to the posting (`url`), so you can check any result and credit the source.

Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of these hiring systems or the hiring companies. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. A company name (Stripe), its careers page (https://www.notion.com/careers) or a job-board link (https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite). Names are looked up on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workable and Recruitee. Workday companies need their Workday link.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs from one company. You pay per job returned.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full description as plain text. Same price either way. On Workday it adds one page load per job, so runs are slower.

## `titleContains` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. engineer, sales. Not case-sensitive. Filtered-out jobs are free.

## `locationContains` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location contains any of these, e.g. remote, london, new york. Filtered-out jobs are free.
