## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper: every open role, with full descriptions

Give it a company's Greenhouse board (`stripe` from `boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, or the full link) and get every open job back as a row: title, department, location, office, posting date, apply link and the full job description as clean text.

On our last test, Stripe's board returned 724 jobs, Airbnb 164 and Discord 48. Every one came back with a department and a full description.

A board that doesn't exist, or one with no open jobs, costs nothing.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `board` | airbnb |
| `companyName` | Airbnb |
| `title` | Account Manager |
| `department` | Business Development |
| `location` | London, United Kingdom |
| `offices` | London, United Kingdom |
| `firstPublished` | when the job first went up |
| `updatedAt` | 2026-09-29T20:00:54-04:00 |
| `description` | full job text, HTML removed |
| `url` | careers.airbnb.com/positions/8184174 |

#### Sample output

```json
{
  "board": "airbnb",
  "jobId": 8184174,
  "title": "Account Manager",
  "location": "London, United Kingdom",
  "department": "Business Development",
  "offices": "London, United Kingdom",
  "companyName": "Airbnb",
  "description": "Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home...",
  "url": "https://careers.airbnb.com/positions/8184174?gh_jid=8184174",
  "firstPublished": "2026-09-09T04:35:19-04:00",
  "updatedAt": "2026-09-29T20:00:54-04:00"
}
```

### Quick start

1. Paste board tokens or board links into **Boards**, one per line. `stripe`, `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` and `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe` all work.
2. Click **Start**.

The default input pulls Airbnb's current openings and runs as-is.

To find a company's token, open their careers page and click any job. If the link goes through `greenhouse.io`, the word right after it is the token.

### Use cases

- Watch a list of target companies and get every new opening the day it's posted (schedule a daily run and compare `jobId`).
- Track hiring by department across competitors. A sudden jump in sales roles says a lot about where a company is heading.
- Feed a niche job board or newsletter with fresh, linked postings.
- Search full descriptions for a skill, tool or salary range without opening hundreds of pages.

### What happens when something goes wrong

A misspelled token or a company that left Greenhouse returns 0 rows and isn't charged. Paste the same board twice and you're charged once. `RUN_SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store says what happened to each board.

### Pricing

Pay per job delivered, plus Apify's small start fee per run. Set a maximum cost per run and the scraper stops at your limit.

### FAQ

**Which companies use Greenhouse?**
Thousands, including Stripe, Airbnb, Discord and a long list of startups. If a company's apply links go through `greenhouse.io`, it works here.

**Does it include salary?**
Only when the company writes it into the description, and many US postings now do because of pay-transparency laws. There's no separate salary field, because Greenhouse doesn't publish one.

**Can it apply to jobs or see applicants?**
No. It reads the public job board only.

**Something broke?**
Open an issue with the board token. I answer within a day.

### Limitations

- Greenhouse boards only. Lever has its own scraper in this store.
- `offices` and `department` are whatever the company set up in Greenhouse, so naming varies from one company to the next.

### Export or use as an API

Download any run's results from the **Storage** tab as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

To call it from your own code, send your input to Apify's API and get the rows back in one request:

```
POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/leathered_latch~greenhouse-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN
```

It also plugs into Make, Zapier and n8n through Apify's integrations, and AI agents can find and run it through Apify's MCP server.

### Your responsibility

How you use the output is your call, and so is the legal side of it. Copyright still covers any text or images you republish. The source site's own terms apply too. If you're unsure about a use, check with a lawyer first.

If you own content that shows up in these results and want it handled differently, open an issue on the Issues tab. We answer within 14 days.

### Data source and credit

Every row comes from Greenhouse's public job board API (Greenhouse Software, Inc.). We don't own this data, and we don't take credit for it. The job postings belong to the hiring companies.

This tool reads only what Greenhouse shows to any logged-out visitor. No logins, no private data. Each row keeps a link back to the page it came from (the `url` field), so you can check any result and credit the source when you use it.

Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Greenhouse or the hiring companies. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

### Changelog

- **0.2** Full job descriptions as plain text, department and office now filled on every job, company name and first-posted date added, stray spaces trimmed from titles.
- **0.1** First release.
