## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Profiles Scraper: exact followers, likes and bio

Paste TikTok handles and get one row per account with exact counts: followers, following, total likes and video count, plus display name, bio, bio link and the verified badge.

Exact means exact. TikTok's page shows "2.1M" for NASA; this returns 2,064,363. On huge accounts the raw like count overflows in TikTok's own data and turns negative. We read the field that doesn't, so you never get a negative number.

You pay per profile delivered. Missing accounts and duplicates cost nothing.

### What you get

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `handle` | nba |
| `nickname` | NBA |
| `followers` | 27,281,792 |
| `following` | 267 |
| `likes` | 1,162,189,715 |
| `videoCount` | 24,188 |
| `verified` | true |
| `privateAccount` | false |
| `bio` | the account's bio text |
| `bioLink` | link in bio, or null |
| `url` | https://www.tiktok.com/@nba |

#### Sample output

```json
{
  "handle": "nasa",
  "nickname": "NASA",
  "userId": "7664638705177150477",
  "verified": true,
  "privateAccount": false,
  "bio": "Making the seemingly impossible, possible.✨",
  "bioLink": "science.nasa.gov/feature/artemis-ii-preliminary-lunar-science-report",
  "followers": 2064363,
  "following": 23,
  "likes": 10946788,
  "videoCount": 56,
  "url": "https://www.tiktok.com/@nasa"
}
```

Each row also has the avatar link and the time it was collected. Rows are flat, so they open straight in Excel or Google Sheets.

### Quick start

1. Paste `@handles` or profile links into **Profiles**, one per line.
2. Click **Start**.

The default input checks @nasa and @nba and runs as-is.

### Use cases

- Vet creators before a sponsorship. Likes divided by videos, set against followers, tells you whether an audience is still watching.
- Track competitor brands week to week. Schedule a run and chart `followers`.
- Clean up an influencer list: drop private accounts and handles that no longer exist in one pass.
- Pull bio links to find each creator's own site or shop.

### What happens when something goes wrong

A handle that doesn't exist returns no row and isn't charged. Paste the same account twice and you pay once. `RUN_SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store says what happened to each handle.

### Pricing

Pay per profile delivered, plus Apify's small start fee per run. Set a maximum cost per run and the scraper stops at your limit.

### FAQ

**Why exact numbers, when TikTok shows "2.1M"?**
Rounded numbers hide week-to-week growth. A creator can gain 40,000 followers and still read "2.1M".

**Does it get the videos?**
No. This returns the profile only.

**What about private accounts?**
You still get the public profile row (name, counts, `privateAccount: true`). Nothing behind the privacy setting.

**Something broke?**
Open an issue with the handle. I answer within a day.

### Limitations

- Public profile data only. No login, no private content, no follower lists.
- Counts are TikTok's at the moment of the run.

### Export or use as an API

Download any run's results from the **Storage** tab as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

To call it from your own code, send your input to Apify's API and get the rows back in one request:

```
POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/leathered_latch~tiktok-profiles-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN
```

It also plugs into Make, Zapier and n8n through Apify's integrations, and AI agents can find and run it through Apify's MCP server.

### Your responsibility

How you use the output is your call, and so is the legal side of it. Copyright still covers any text or images you republish. Profiles belong to real people and brands. Handles, names and bios are personal data once you store them. The source site's own terms apply too. If you're unsure about a use, check with a lawyer first.

If you own content that shows up in these results and want it handled differently, open an issue on the Issues tab. We answer within 14 days.

### Data source and credit

Every row comes from TikTok (TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC). We don't own this data, and we don't take credit for it. The profiles, bios and counts belong to the account holders.

This tool reads only what TikTok shows to any logged-out visitor. No logins, no private data. Each row keeps a link back to the page it came from (the `url` field), so you can check any result and credit the source when you use it.

Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok. All names and trademarks belong to their owners.

### Changelog

- **0.1** First release. Exact counts from TikTok's string fields; fixes the negative-likes overflow on big accounts.
