## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Naver Shopping Rank Tracker (Mobile Search)

> **What this tracks:** rankings inside the **shopping section of Naver mobile integrated search** (`m.search.naver.com`) — the product list Korean shoppers see first when they search on Naver from a phone. It is **not** the Naver Price Comparison page (`search.shopping.naver.com`) ranking. Organic ranks 1 to about 35 are available per keyword, plus sponsored (ad) slot positions.

Monitor where your product, product URL or store appears for any Korean keyword on Naver — South Korea's #1 search engine. Schedule it daily to build a rank history, compare yourself with competitors, and see whether your ads are showing.

**Use it to:** track Naver Shopping keyword rankings · monitor a Smartstore product's position · check if a brand store shows on page one · watch competitors' prices, reviews and ratings for a keyword · verify Naver shopping ad placement.

### What you get (one row per keyword × target)

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `organicRank` | Organic (non-ad) rank in the shopping section, 1 = top. `null` if not found. |
| `adRank` | Position among sponsored slots (1 = first ad), if the target is advertised. |
| `visualPosition` | Position among all cards on the page (ads + organic), as a shopper scrolls. |
| `price`, `reviewCount`, `rating`, `storeName`, `title`, `productUrl` | Details of the matched product. |
| `depthAvailable` | How many organic ranks Naver showed for this keyword (usually ~35). |
| `notFoundWithin` | If not found organically: "not in the top N" (N = `depthAvailable`). |
| `competitors[]` | Optional: top N organic products for the keyword. |
| `checkedAt`, `checkedAtKst` | Check time in UTC and Korea time. |

### How to use

1. Add **targets**: each is a `keyword` plus a `match`. `match` can be:
   - a product URL — `https://smartstore.naver.com/yourstore/products/1234567890`, a `brand.naver.com` product, a `search.shopping.naver.com/catalog/...` page, or your own mall's product URL;
   - a numeric product ID (Naver product/catalog ID or Smartstore product number);
   - a store name (e.g. `브리츠 공식몰`) or Smartstore slug.
2. Run it — or create a **Schedule** (e.g. every morning) to build rank history.

```json
{
  "targets": [
    { "keyword": "무선이어폰", "match": "https://smartstore.naver.com/yourstore/products/1234567890" },
    { "keyword": "무선이어폰", "match": "브리츠 공식몰" }
  ],
  "topCompetitors": 10
}
```

### Pricing

Pay only for results — no subscription.

| Event | Price | When |
|---|---|---|
| `keyword-checked` | $0.003 | One target (product, URL or store) checked against one keyword. |
| `competitor-item` | $0.0005 | One top-ranked product included in the competitors list (only when topCompetitors > 0). |

**Cost examples**

| Run | Cost |
|---|---|
| 10 keywords × 1 target | $0.03 |
| 100 keywords × 1 target | $0.30 |
| 100 keywords × 2 targets | $0.60 |
| 100 keywords × 1 target + top 10 competitors each | $0.80 |
| 50 keywords checked daily for 30 days | $4.50 |

With the free $5 monthly Apify credit you can check about **1,666 keyword × target pairs**.

Failed keywords (if Naver could not be reached after retries) are reported with an `error` field and **not charged**. If you set a maximum cost per run, the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Limits

| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Organic depth per keyword | What Naver shows, usually ~35 (reported as `depthAvailable`) |
| Competitors per keyword | 0–40 |
| Surface | Naver mobile integrated search, shopping section (Korea) |
| Catalog (price-comparison) cards | Matched by catalog ID/URL; a single seller inside a catalog is not matched by store name |
| Speed | A keyword typically takes 3–10 seconds; keywords run in parallel |

### FAQ

**Why not rank 200 or 400?** Naver's official Shopping Search API was shut down on 31 July 2026 and the price-comparison site blocks automated access. This Actor reads the mobile integrated-search shopping section, which shows about 35 organic products per keyword — the products most shoppers actually see.

**Are results personalized?** Checks run without a Naver login, from Korea-routed or standard proxies, so results reflect a neutral, logged-out shopper. Rankings can vary slightly between checks; schedule regular runs and look at trends.

**Does it collect personal data?** No. It returns product, price and store (business) information only.

# Actor input Schema

## `targets` (type: `array`):

One entry per keyword × target. `keyword` = Korean search keyword. `match` = what to find: a product URL (smartstore.naver.com/.../products/123, brand.naver.com/..., search.shopping.naver.com/catalog/123, or your own mall's product URL), a numeric product ID (Naver product/catalog ID or smartstore product number), or a store name / smartstore slug. Leave `match` empty to just snapshot the keyword (use with Top competitors).

## `includeAds` (type: `boolean`):

Also report the target's position among sponsored (ad) slots as `adRank`.

## `topCompetitors` (type: `integer`):

Attach the top N organic products for each keyword (0–40). Charged per item as `competitor-item`. Attached once per keyword.

## `outputMode` (type: `string`):

`full` = all fields. `minimal` = rank, price, store and title only (smaller, faster to process).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many keywords to check in parallel.

## `residentialFallback` (type: `boolean`):

If a keyword keeps failing on the default proxy, retry it through Korean residential proxy.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Default (Apify datacenter proxy) works for most users.

## `healthCheck` (type: `boolean`):

Internal: fail the run when results look degraded (used by the developer's scheduled checks).
