## Pricing

from $0.10 / 1,000 steam reviews

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Steam Game Reviews Scraper

*Unofficial tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation.*

Export Steam user reviews for one or more games as one row per review. It's for game studios, publishers, marketers and researchers who want to read player sentiment, track reviews after a patch or compare games.

**Input:** Steam app IDs or store links, with optional language, recommended / not recommended, purchase-type and date filters.

**Output:** review text, recommended or not, helpful and funny votes, Steam's helpfulness score, the reviewer's playtime in the game (at review, total, last two weeks), and written and edited dates.

No reviewer identity is included: no Steam IDs, profile links, names or review links.

### Steam reviews input

- `appIds`: numeric app IDs (620 = Portal 2) or `https://store.steampowered.com/app/620/` links, up to 50
- `language`: Steam language code, default `all`
- `reviewType`: `all`, `positive` or `negative`
- `purchaseType`: `all`, `steam` or `non_steam_purchase`
- `reviewsFrom`: YYYY-MM-DD (reviews come newest first)
- `maxReviewsPerApp`: default 100
- `maxResults`: up to 20,000

### Output fields

`appId`, `language`, `review`, `votedUp`, `votesUp`, `votesFunny`, `weightedVoteScore`, `playtimeAtReviewHours`, `playtimeForeverHours`, `playtimeLastTwoWeeksHours`, `createdAt`, `updatedAt`

Free status rows (not charged): `no-results`, `invalid-input`, `api-error`, `free-plan-limit`, `charge-limit-reached`.

**Example:** `{"appIds":["620"],"language":"english","maxReviewsPerApp":50,"maxResults":50}`

### Data source and compliance

- Source: Steam's documented public reviews method, IUserReviewsService/GetAppReviews on api.steampowered.com (it replaced the store's appreviews endpoint in October 2026). No login, no key.
- Paced at about one request a second, backs off when Steam says to slow down (HTTP 429), and capped at 400 requests per run, far below Steam's 100,000-calls-a-day Web API limit. Very large jobs should be split into several runs.
- Review text, votes, playtime and dates only. Reviewer Steam IDs and profiles are never collected or output.
- No Steam or Valve logos are used.
- Free-plan accounts get up to 100 results per run.

**Pricing.** Pay per result: $0.10 per 1,000 reviews ($0.0001 each), the same price on every plan, no start fee. Free status rows are never charged.
