## Pricing

from $2.10 / 1,000 articles

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**WeChat Articles Scraper** searches **WeChat Official Account articles** (微信公众号文章) by keyword and returns one row per article: **title, summary, official account, publish time, cover image and a working link to the article on mp.weixin.qq.com**. Switch on one option and every row also carries the **full article text, the account id (gh\_…), the author, the exact publish time and the article's images**.

**$0.003 per article, +$0.005 for the full text.** No WeChat account, no phone number, no login, no start fee. Searches that fail and deleted articles are free.

### What is WeChat Articles Scraper?

WeChat is where Chinese brands, media and analysts publish — and it is closed to the outside web. This Actor reads **Sogou Weixin search**, the public index of WeChat articles, follows each result to the article itself and hands you clean rows. It is built for brand and competitor monitoring in China, market research, media analysis, and feeding Chinese-language content to AI pipelines.

Type keywords in Chinese for the best results — brand names (比亚迪, 小米), topics (人工智能, 跨境电商), people or products. English brand names work too.

### What is in every row

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `title`, `summary`, `accountName`, `publishedAt` | From the search result |
| `coverUrl`, `articleUrl` | Cover image and a working link to the article on mp.weixin.qq.com |
| `keyword`, `page`, `position` | Which search, which page, which slot |
| `contentText`, `contentLength`, `imageUrls` | With **Add the full article text** on: the article body as plain text and its images |
| `accountId`, `accountBiz`, `accountNameOnPage`, `author`, `publishedAtExact`, `postFormat` | Account ids and author read from the article page; `postFormat` tells a normal article from an image post |
| `deleted` | The publisher removed the article (such rows are not charged for text) |

### How much does it cost?

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Article row | **$0.003** |
| Full text (optional) | **$0.005** per article that has text |

- Keywords the search refuses after retries: **$0** (error row with the reason).
- Deleted articles and articles without text: no text charge.

#### Bulk export: what 50,000 rows actually cost

This Actor is built for bulk jobs — hundreds of keywords in one run, or a daily schedule. There is **no
fee per run, no fee per page and no proxy charge**: you pay for the article rows you keep.

| Job | This Actor | Most-used Actor in this category |
|---|---|---|
| 50,000 articles across 100 runs | **$150** | $300 + start fees |
| 50,000 articles with full text | **$400** | $1,800 + start fees |

Checked on the Apify Store on 23 September 2026 against the Actor with the most monthly users in
this category ($0.006 per search result and $0.03 per article detail, plus a fee per run). Some Actors
here ask less per row — this table compares against the one buyers actually use most.

### How to use it in three steps

1. Type keywords into **🔍 Keywords**, one per line — `比亚迪`, `人工智能`.
2. Set **Articles per keyword** (up to 100) and switch on **📝 Add the full article text** if you need the body.
3. Press **Start**, then download JSON, CSV or Excel — or call the run from the API, n8n, Make, Zapier or an AI agent.

### ⬇️ Input

### Use cases

#### Brand monitoring in China

Your brand and competitors' names, daily — every new WeChat article with the account that wrote it.

#### Market and policy research

Topic keywords across hundreds of accounts, full text for analysis or translation.

#### KOL discovery

Which official accounts write about your category most often — `accountName` and `accountId` on every row.

#### AI and RAG

Chinese-language articles as clean text through the Apify MCP server or API.

### Integrations

Every run is available through the Apify API, and the Actor works out of the box with n8n, Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, LangChain and the Apify MCP server.

### FAQ

**Do I need a WeChat account?** No. Nothing is logged in.

**How long does `articleUrl` work?** It is a signed link issued by the search; open or store the page soon after the run. With full text on, the content is saved in the row, so the link expiring does not matter.

**Can I get read counts and likes?** No — WeChat shows those only inside the WeChat app.

**Can I list every article of one account?** The Actor searches by keyword; use the account's name as the keyword to get its recent articles.

**Is this legal?** The Actor reads a public search index and public article pages. Respect copyright when republishing text, and use the data in line with local law.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

One search per line, in Chinese for best results — <b>比亚迪</b>, <b>人工智能</b>, <b>跨境电商</b>. Brand names and English words work too.

## `maxArticlesPerKeyword` (type: `integer`):

Up to 100 — the search shows 10 pages of 10 articles without login.

## `includeContent` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each article on mp.weixin.qq.com and adds the full text, account id (gh\_…), author, exact publish time and image links. +$0.005 per article that has text; deleted articles are not charged.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many keywords to search at the same time. Keep it low — the search throttles bursts.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default — the search answers a direct request. A throttled session is retried on a fresh Apify datacenter address automatically.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "keywords": [
    "比亚迪",
    "人工智能"
  ],
  "maxArticlesPerKeyword": 20,
  "includeContent": false,
  "concurrency": 2,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `articles` (type: `string`):

One row per WeChat article: title, account, time, link, optional full text.
