## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arizona UCC Filings Search: New Liens & Debtors

Search Arizona UCC and tax lien records by organization, individual or secured party name and turn them into clean lien rows. Each record gives you the filing number, the party name in the role you searched, the lien type, the original filing date, the lapse date and the current status. It is built for MCA renewals, equipment finance, factoring, lender sales and pre-lending diligence. Filter by debtor or secured party role, standard or wildcard matching, active or all filings, lien type and filing or lapse date. Pay only for records delivered.

### What you get

Every record is flat, snake_case JSON with the fields a lending team actually uses.

- **Filing identity:** `filing_number`, `filing_type`, `filing_type_raw`, `lien_type`.
- **Dates and status:** `filing_date`, `lapse_date`, `days_to_lapse`, `lien_status`, `is_lapsed`.
- **Parties:** `party_name`, `party_role`, `debtor_name`, `secured_party_name`, `matched_name`.
- **Search context:** `match_type`, `search_name`.
- **Traceability:** `state`, `source`, `source_url`, `data_as_of`, `observed_at`, `confidence`.

Arizona's public list shows one party per row in the role that was searched. A debtor search fills `debtor_name` and leaves `secured_party_name` as `null`. A secured-party search fills `secured_party_name` and leaves `debtor_name` as `null`. The public list does not publish collateral text, street addresses or the other party on the same row, so those values are not guessed. Use the debtor and secured-party searches together when you need both sides of a filing.

### Who is it for

- **MCA and alternative lenders** monitoring new UCC filings for renewal and stacking signals.
- **Equipment finance and leasing teams** finding borrowers who just pledged equipment.
- **Factoring and invoice finance** teams watching for new secured lenders on a debtor.
- **Commercial bankers and credit analysts** running UCC diligence on a borrower.
- **Data and RevOps teams** enriching CRM accounts with lien, lender and lapse data.

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **organization names** in `organizationNames`, or **individual names** in `individualNames`.
2. Choose whether to search the name as a **debtor**, a **secured party**, or both.
3. Choose **standard** matching for Article 9 name rules or **wildcard** matching for a broader contains search.
4. Optionally set **filing status**, **lien type**, a **filing date window**, a **lapse date window** and a **sort order**.
5. Set **maximum filings** and run the Actor.
6. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

Standard matching follows the Arizona Article 9 name rules and is the best choice for a full legal name. Wildcard matching returns names that contain the search text, so a short root such as `BANNER` finds more records. A broad secured-party search can reach the source's 1,000-row display limit; use a narrower name or a date window when that happens.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "organizationNames": ["BANNER HEALTH"],
  "partyRole": "debtor",
  "matchType": "standard",
  "status": "active",
  "maxFilings": 25
}
```

#### Example output

```json
{
  "filing_number": "202600435643",
  "filing_type": "UCC-1",
  "filing_type_raw": "Standard",
  "lien_type": "ucc",
  "lien_status": "active",
  "is_lapsed": false,
  "filing_date": "2026-09-28",
  "lapse_date": "2031-09-28",
  "days_to_lapse": 1806,
  "party_name": "BANNER HEALTH",
  "party_role": "debtor",
  "debtor_name": "BANNER HEALTH",
  "secured_party_name": null,
  "matched_name": "BANNER HEALTH",
  "match_type": "standard",
  "search_name": "BANNER HEALTH",
  "state": "AZ",
  "source": "Arizona Secretary of State",
  "data_as_of": "2026-06-16",
  "observed_at": "2026-10-18T16:18:16.463Z",
  "confidence": 0.97
}
```

Fields omitted above for width are present as `null`. `days_to_lapse` changes with the run date.

- Search a list of portfolio companies for new Arizona UCC filings and route the rows to a CRM.
- Pull every active filing against a lender name to build a secured-party lead list.
- Filter the delivered rows to UCC filings or tax liens and export the lapse dates for renewal review.
- Run a wildcard search on a short brand root and review every matching debtor before outreach.

### Coverage and freshness

Arizona publishes UCC financing statements and tax liens in one public search index. The Actor reads the public list and returns every matching row up to the display limit. It reports the source's published `data_as_of` date on every record and stamps each record with `observed_at` when it was collected.

The index includes older pre-Article 9 filings, standard UCC filings, tax liens and a small number of restitution or other lien notices. The `filing_type_raw` field preserves the source label, while `filing_type` and `lien_type` normalize it for filtering. Records that are neither UCC nor tax are marked `lien_type: "other"`. Filings with no published lapse date return `lapse_date: null`, `days_to_lapse: null` and `lien_status: "unknown"` instead of a guessed date.

The public list does not include collateral text, street addresses or document images. Those fields are not part of the output. The Actor does not download or republish documents.

### Pricing

Pay per result. The `result` event is **$0.03** per delivered filing record. The synthetic Actor start event is **$0.003**. There is no charge when the run returns no records or cannot search the source. Free users are capped at 10 records per run. The Actor respects the run's `maxTotalChargeUsd` limit and stops as soon as the budget is reached.

### FAQ

**Does the Actor return both the debtor and the secured party?**
The public list returns one party per row in the role you searched. Run a debtor search and a secured-party search when you need both sides, then join on `filing_number`.

**Can I search by filing number?**
This Actor focuses on name searches. Use `organizationNames` or `individualNames` with standard matching for the most precise result.

**Why is `secured_party_name` null on a debtor search?**
Because the public list does not publish the other party on the same row. Returning a value there would be a guess.

**Why does a broad lender search stop at 1,000 rows?**
The source caps a single result display. Use a narrower legal name or a date window to work within that limit.

**Are tax liens included?**
Yes. Arizona publishes tax liens and a small number of restitution or other lien notices in the same index. Use `lienType` to keep UCC filings only, tax liens only, other liens only, or all of them.

**Is this official data?**
The Actor reads the Arizona Secretary of State public UCC search and preserves the published filing number, party, type and dates. It is not a consumer credit report and is not a legal opinion.
