## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Arkansas UCC Filings Scraper: New Liens & Debtors

Search Arkansas UCC filings by debtor name and turn them into clean lien records. Each row gives you the debtor, the secured party or lender, the filing number, the filing and lapse dates, the document type and the full amendment chain. It is built for MCA renewals, equipment finance, factoring, lender sales and pre-lending diligence. Filter by organization or individual debtor, city, filing date, lapse date, status and document type. Pay only for records delivered.

### What you get

Every record is flat, snake_case JSON with the fields a lending team actually uses.

- **Filing identity:** `filing_number`, `original_filing_number`, `document_number`, `filing_id`, `record_type_raw`, `filing_type`, `filing_category`.
- **Dates and status:** `filing_date`, `filing_year`, `lapse_date`, `days_to_lapse`, `latest_filing_date`, `lien_status`, `is_lapsed`.
- **Parties:** `debtor_name`, `debtor_type`, `debtor_names`, `secured_party_name`, `secured_party_type`, `secured_party_names`.
- **Chain context:** `chain_filing_count`, `amendment_count`, `document_count`, `is_amendment`, `page_count`.
- **Traceability:** `matched_name`, `matched_party_role`, `match_type`, `search_name`, `state`, `source`, `source_url`, `observed_at`, `confidence`.

Arkansas publishes no debtor or secured party street address in the free index, and no collateral text. Those fields are returned as `null` or an empty array rather than guessed. City is used as a search filter but is not republished on the record.

### Who is it for

- **MCA and alternative lenders** monitoring new UCC-1 filings for renewal and stacking signals.
- **Equipment finance and leasing teams** finding borrowers who just pledged equipment.
- **Factoring and invoice finance** teams watching for new secured lenders on a debtor.
- **Commercial bankers and credit analysts** running UCC diligence on a borrower.
- **Data and RevOps teams** enriching CRM accounts with lien, lender and lapse data.

### How to use it

1. Enter one or more **organization debtor names** in `debtorNames`, or **individual debtor names** in `individualDebtorNames`.
2. Optionally add a **debtor city**, a **filing date window**, a **lapse date window** or a **status** filter.
3. Choose whether to include **lapsed filings** and **amendment documents**.
4. Set **maximum filings** and run the Actor.
5. Download the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the Apify API.

Name matching on the source is a contains match, so a short root such as `SMITH` finds more records than a full legal name. Use a full name for precision and a root for coverage.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "debtorNames": ["SMITH"],
  "includeLapsed": false,
  "includeAmendments": true,
  "maxFilings": 25
}
```

#### Example output

```json
{
  "filing_number": "98260955137",
  "original_filing_number": "98260955137",
  "filing_type": "UCC-1",
  "filing_category": "initial",
  "filing_date": "2026-10-15",
  "lapse_date": "2031-10-15",
  "lien_status": "active",
  "debtor_name": "SMITH FULL THROTTLE MARINE LLC DBA, BACKLASH MARINE",
  "debtor_type": "organization",
  "secured_party_name": "GRAND SAVINGS BANK",
  "secured_party_type": "organization",
  "page_count": 1,
  "chain_filing_count": 1,
  "amendment_count": 0,
  "state": "AR",
  "confidence": 0.97
}
```

Fields omitted above for width are still present as `null` or empty arrays.

- Search a list of portfolio companies for new UCC filings and route the rows to a CRM.
- Pull every UCC-1 filed in Arkansas since the first of the month for a lender lead list.
- Filter the secured party column after delivery to isolate one lender and alert the sales team.
- Export amendment chains for collateral and lapse-date review.

### Coverage and freshness

- **State:** Arkansas.
- **Source:** Arkansas Secretary of State public UCC index.
- **Records:** original financing statements and their amendment, continuation, assignment and termination documents.
- **Freshness:** the Actor reads the public index at run time. `observed_at` records exactly when each row was read.
- **Search modes:** organization debtor, individual debtor, debtor city, filing date from, lapse date windows and status.
- **Not published:** debtor addresses, secured party addresses and collateral text. The free index does not expose them, so the Actor returns `null` instead of a guess.

Free Apify users receive up to 10 records per run. Paid users can request up to 400.

### Pricing

Pay per result. You are charged only for filing records that are delivered to the dataset. A run that finds no data returns one error record and charges no result event. The platform also applies its standard Actor start charge.

### FAQ

**Does this scrape the Arkansas Secretary of State?**
It reads the public UCC search that the Secretary of State publishes for Arkansas filers.

**Can I search by secured party or lender name?**
The Arkansas public index searches by debtor name. Use `debtorNames` with the borrower or business name. The secured party is returned on every record so you can filter lenders after delivery.

**Are addresses included?**
No. Arkansas does not publish debtor or secured party addresses in the free index. Those fields are documented as `null`.

**Does it include amendments?**
Yes. Each amendment, continuation, assignment or termination is delivered as its own record and is linked to the original filing through `original_filing_number`. Set `includeAmendments` to `false` for originals only.

**What happens when nothing matches?**
The run succeeds with one error record, `error` is populated, and no result event is charged.

**Can I monitor new filings daily?**
Yes. Schedule the Actor with a filing date window and a saved input, then consume new rows from the dataset or the API.

# Actor input Schema

## `debtorNames` (type: `array`):

Organization or trade-name debtors to search, up to 20. Arkansas matches the name across UCC financing statements and their amendments.

## `individualDebtorNames` (type: `array`):

Individual people to search as Last, First Middle Suffix, up to 20. A bare last name also works. Example: SMITH, JOHN.

## `city` (type: `string`):

Restrict the Arkansas search to a debtor city, case-insensitive. Example: LITTLE ROCK. Leave empty for all cities.

## `filingDateFrom` (type: `string`):

Only return documents filed on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty for no lower bound.

## `filingDateTo` (type: `string`):

Only return documents filed on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD). Leave empty for no upper bound.

## `lapseDateFrom` (type: `string`):

Only return documents whose lapse date is on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD).

## `lapseDateTo` (type: `string`):

Only return documents whose lapse date is on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD).

## `debtorType` (type: `string`):

Keep organization debtors, individual debtors, or both. The type is inferred from the published debtor name.

## `recordType` (type: `string`):

Keep original UCC-1 financing statements, amendment and continuation documents, or all documents.

## `status` (type: `string`):

Filter by normalized status. Active means a lapse date in the future, lapsed means the lapse date has passed, terminated comes from a termination filing.

## `includeLapsed` (type: `boolean`):

When false, the source search excludes filings whose lapse date has passed. Enable to include older and lapsed UCC records.

## `includeAmendments` (type: `boolean`):

When true, amendment, continuation, assignment and termination documents are delivered as separate records. When false, only original financing statements are delivered.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order the delivered records by filing date, newest first or oldest first.

## `maxFilings` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of Arkansas UCC documents to deliver in this run. Up to 400.
