## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Denver County CO Liens: UCC, Tax, Lien & Judgment Filings

Search **Denver County, Colorado** recorded liens by debtor, lender or document number. Get county-recorded UCC financing statements and terminations, federal and state tax liens, other statutory liens, judgments and satisfactions with debtor and secured-party names, recording dates, book/page, related documents and document numbers in clean, flat JSON.

Denver County is a separate Colorado recording jurisdiction with its own Clerk and Recorder index. It is **not** the Colorado Secretary of State UCC feed, and it is **not** Arapahoe, Pitkin, Boulder or any other county recorder index. This actor reads the Denver County Clerk and Recorder's public guest search and returns the recorded lien, tax-lien, judgment and UCC families that the statewide UCC dataset does not publish.

### What you get

- **One row per recorded lien, judgment or UCC filing** — deduplicated by the Denver reception number.
- **Debtor and secured-party detail** — every published grantor and grantee, with the recorder's role labels.
- **Accurate party direction** — initial UCCs, liens, tax liens and judgments put the debtor on the grantor side; UCC terminations, tax-lien releases, lien releases and notices extending time put the secured party or claimant on the grantor side. The actor applies the correct direction per document type.
- **Recording data** — document number, document type, recorded date and time, book/page, page count and recording fees when published.
- **Chain context** — the prior or related document number, type and date when Denver publishes one, so you can connect a termination or release to its original filing.
- **Release flags** — terminations, releases, partial releases and satisfactions are marked so you can separate active liens from paid-off filings.
- **Search context** — the search term, search side and search type that produced the record.
- **Flat snake_case fields** — ready for Sheets, Airtable, BigQuery, Postgres, CRM or an API.
- **No charge when nothing matches** — a no-data run returns one uncharged error row.

### Lien families covered

| Family | Denver document types | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| `ucc` | `UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE REAL`, `UCC 200`, `UCC TERMINATION` | UCC financing statements, UCC-1/UCC-3 filings and terminations |
| `tax_lien` | `TAX LIEN`, `TAX LIEN FEDERAL`, `TAX LIEN STATE`, `RELEASE OF FEDERAL TAX LIEN`, `RELEASE LIEN STATE`, `PARTIAL RELEASE OF FEDERAL TAX LIEN` | IRS federal tax liens, Colorado state tax liens, releases and partial releases |
| `other_lien` | `LIEN`, `NOTICE EXTENDING TIME TO FILE A LIEN`, `RELEASE OF LIEN` | HOA, construction, statutory and other recorded liens and releases |
| `judgment_lien` | `JUDGMENT`, `SATISFACTION OF JUDGMENT` | Judgment liens and satisfactions |

Deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, mortgage releases, plats, marriage licenses, death certificates, powers of attorney, military discharges and other non-lien instruments are not returned. Consumer-sensitive child-support, family-support, CSE, Medicaid, welfare, divorce, custody, paternity and protection-order names are filtered out.

### Who it is for

- **MCA, ISO and equipment-finance teams** — find new Denver County UCC filings, identify the incumbent secured party and time outreach around new liens or terminations.
- **Commercial lenders and credit teams** — monitor a borrower or lender name for new secured-party activity.
- **Collections and recovery** — surface federal tax liens, state tax liens and judgments against a debtor.
- **KYB and due diligence** — inspect the parties, recording data and document chain behind a recorded lien.
- **Construction and supplier credit** — find recorded liens and releases by owner, contractor or claimant.
- **Colorado property and title researchers** — pull Denver County lien, judgment and UCC records without a subscription.

### How to use it

#### Search by debtor name

```json
{
  "debtorNames": ["SMITH"],
  "dateFrom": "2025-01-01",
  "dateTo": "2026-10-21",
  "maxFilings": 25
}
```

Partial names are supported. Results are matched on the debtor, owner or grantor side. The actor fetches the document detail and checks the recorder's published party roles, so a name that only appears on the secured-party side is not returned as a debtor match.

#### Search by lender or creditor name

```json
{
  "securedPartyNames": ["INTERNAL REVENUE"],
  "lienTypes": ["tax_lien"],
  "includeReleases": false,
  "maxFilings": 10
}
```

Results are matched on the secured-party, lien claimant or judgment creditor side. Add `includeReleases: true` to return terminations and releases too.

#### Look up exact document numbers

```json
{
  "documentNumbers": ["2026119922", "2025025225", "2026119888"],
  "maxFilings": 3
}
```

The actor returns the exact Denver reception number, not prefix matches.

#### Browse new recordings

Leave all names and document numbers empty to browse the selected categories for the last 30 days. Set `dateFrom` and `dateTo` to choose another recorded-date window.

#### Filter by lien family

```json
{
  "debtorNames": ["SMITH"],
  "lienTypes": ["tax_lien", "judgment_lien"],
  "includeReleases": false,
  "dateFrom": "2026-01-01",
  "dateTo": "2026-10-21",
  "maxFilings": 20
}
```

### Input reference

| Input | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `debtorNames` | string array | Search the debtor, owner or grantor side, up to 20 names |
| `securedPartyNames` | string array | Search the secured-party, claimant or creditor side, up to 20 names |
| `documentNumbers` | string array | Exact Denver reception numbers, up to 20 |
| `lienTypes` | string array | `ucc`, `tax_lien`, `other_lien`, `judgment_lien` |
| `includeReleases` | boolean | Include terminations, releases and satisfactions; default `true` |
| `dateFrom` | string | Earliest recorded date, `YYYY-MM-DD` |
| `dateTo` | string | Latest recorded date, `YYYY-MM-DD` |
| `maxFilings` | integer | Maximum unique records to return and charge, 1–1000; default 25 |

Free Apify users receive up to 10 results per run. Paid users can request up to 1,000.

### Coverage and freshness

- **Jurisdiction:** Denver County, Colorado (the City and County of Denver).
- **Source:** Denver County Clerk and Recorder public recorded-document index.
- **Record families:** county-recorded UCC, federal and state tax liens, other liens, judgments and their release chains.
- **Freshness:** the public index is current through the current recording day on the run date.
- **Default browse window:** last 30 days.
- **Default name window:** last 2 years when no dates are set.

Denver's public index is a county recorder system. It is separate from the Colorado Secretary of State UCC feed, which publishes statewide UCC filings but not county-recorded tax liens, judgments, HOA liens, construction liens or the county's release chain.

### Pricing

- **$0.03 per returned record** (`result` event).
- **$0.003 actor start** event, charged once per run at 512 MB.
- **No charge when nothing matches.** A no-data run returns one uncharged error row.
- Free Apify users are capped at 10 results per run.

### FAQ

**Is this a consumer credit report?**
No. It is public-record research and workflow automation. Do not use it for credit, employment, tenant or other FCRA-covered decisions.

**Does it include the original filing behind a termination?**
When Denver publishes a related or prior document number on the detail page, the actor returns it as `related_document_number`, `related_document_type` and `related_document_date`. If the county does not publish a related document, those fields are `null` rather than guessed.

**Why is the debtor sometimes the grantee?**
The recorder reverses party direction on UCC terminations, tax-lien releases, lien releases and notices extending time to file a lien. The actor applies the recorder's published direction per document type, so `debtor_name` is always on the debtor side even when the grantor/grantee labels reverse.

**Does it return amounts or property descriptions?**
Denver's public detail page does not publish a lien amount or a full legal description for most of these document types. The actor returns the fields the county publishes: parties, document type, recording date and time, book/page, page count, recording fees and related documents. It does not invent missing amounts or property data.

**Can I search by exact document number?**
Yes. Use `documentNumbers` with the Denver reception number, for example `2026119922`.

**Can I monitor new filings?**
Leave the names and document numbers empty and set a recent `dateFrom`/`dateTo` window. The actor browses the selected lien categories and returns the newest records first.

**Is there a dedicated Denver County actor on Apify?**
No dedicated Denver County recorder or lien actor was found. Existing Colorado actors cover the statewide Secretary of State UCC feed, tax-lien sale lists or building permits, not the Denver County recorded-document index.
