## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### Pricing

| Event | Price | When it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| `result` | $0.015 | Each record delivered to your dataset |
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.003 | When a run starts, once per GB of run memory with a minimum of one |

- Accounts on the free Apify plan receive up to 10 results per run.
- If nothing matches or the source fails, you get one row with an `error` field and no `result` charge. The start event still applies to the run.
- Set a maximum cost per run and the actor stops delivering results when it reaches that limit.

### Comparison with other Apify actors

No dedicated actor for this source on the Apify Store as of November 2026. We searched the public Store on 2026-11-06 with queries including "Kent County Delaware lien", "Kent County recorder" and "Kent County ucc", and we reviewed the listings for this source and data type. Broader actors exist: `shelvick/property-deed-records` searches deed and lien records from county recorder indexes. Their listings do not name this source, so we could not confirm that they cover it. Store listings change, so run the same search before you rely on this.

### FAQ

**Does this cover the Delaware Secretary of State UCC system?**

No. Data comes from the Kent County Recorder of Deeds public index. The Delaware Secretary of State's statewide UCC system is a separate source. This actor covers liens and UCC filings recorded in Kent County, including county-recorded federal tax liens, US judgments and HOA/other liens.

**Can I search by secured party or lender?**

Yes. Use the lender field. The actor searches the secured-party side and also matches releases where the lender is the releasing party.

**Can I get only new liens and skip releases?**

Yes. Turn off "Include terminations, releases and partial releases" to return only new liens, active filings, continuations and amendments.

**Are federal tax liens and judgments included?**

Yes. Federal tax liens, federal tax releases, US judgments and HOA/other liens are separate categories in the same dataset.

**Does a record include the property?**

Where the county publishes it, yes: legal description, subdivision, lot, block and parcel/PIN. Property street addresses are returned when the recorder indexes one.

**Why are some HOA/other liens marked `claimant_heuristic`?**

Kent's public index publishes the same names on both the grantor and grantee side for those instruments. The actor identifies the association or condo claimant by name and treats the remaining names as the property owner. The raw grantor and grantee lists are always included so you can verify the record.

**Is this a consumer credit report?**

No. This is public-record research for business and legal due diligence.
