## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Oregon Farm Products EFS Liens: Debtors, Lenders & Crop Collateral

Search Oregon **Effective Financing Statements (EFS)** for farm-product liens by debtor, secured party, county, crop year, farm product or exact filing number. Get the debtor and lender, both addresses, the farm products and counties covered, crop year, filing and lapse dates and filing IDs in one clean JSON row.

Oregon requires an EFS when a lender takes a security interest in **farm products** — cattle, calves, hay, grass seed, wheat, nursery stock, onions, dairy and other agricultural goods. The state's Farm Products Master List publishes the debtor, the secured party, the county where the products are produced, the crop year and the product description. This actor turns that registry into a searchable feed for agricultural lenders, input suppliers, equipment finance companies, crop buyers and credit teams.

### What you get

- **EFS filing number**, **base lien number** and **amendment number** when the filing is an amendment.
- **Filing date** and **lapse date**.
- **Status** derived from the published lapse date: `active` or `lapsed`.
- **Debtor / farm names** — every debtor on the filing, not just the first one.
- **Debtor entity types**, street, city, state and ZIP for each debtor.
- **Secured party / lender names** — every secured party on the filing.
- **Secured party entity types**, street, city, state and ZIP for each lender.
- **Farm products** covered, for example Cattle & Calves, Hay, Alfalfa, Wheat or Grass & Grain Straw.
- **Oregon product codes** so you can join the result to your own commodity mapping.
- **Oregon counties** where the products are produced, plus county codes.
- **Crop years**, including `ALL` when the filing is not crop-year specific.
- **Public filing detail URL** and document image ID, when the state publishes them.
- **Search provenance**: which debtor or lender term matched, plus the run's search terms.
- Flat snake_case JSON that opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, a CRM or a credit model.

### Who it is for

- **Agricultural lenders, Farm Credit and Farm Service Agency teams** — monitor EFS filings against borrowers, prospects and competitors.
- **Input suppliers, seed, feed and chemical companies** — see who already holds a security interest in a farm's crops or livestock before extending terms.
- **Equipment finance and ag leasing** — find farms with active secured lending and identify the incumbent lender.
- **Crop buyers and grain elevators** — check EFS coverage by county, product and crop year before purchasing farm products.
- **Credit, collections and recovery teams** — surface active and lapsed farm-product liens in one pass.
- **Ag data, KYB and due-diligence teams** — enrich a farm or operator profile with public secured-lending records.

### How to use it

1. Add one or more **debtor / farm names**, or one or more **secured party / lender names**.
2. Or paste exact **EFS filing numbers** for a precise lookup.
3. Narrow by **Oregon county**, **crop year** and **farm product**.
4. Set a **filing date range** and a **maximum number of filings**.
5. Leave the name and number fields empty to list **new EFS filings** from the last 30 days.

Names are partial-match and each name is searched separately. Multiple farm-product, county and party rows from the same EFS filing are merged into one result, so the same filing is never charged twice. Free Apify users receive up to 10 results per run.

### Coverage and limits

- **Jurisdiction:** statewide Oregon.
- **Source:** the Oregon Secretary of State Farm Products Master List, a public open-data feed of farm-product EFS liens that have not lapsed.
- **Records:** EFS filings and amendments that publish at least one debtor or secured party. Historical amendment rows without published party detail are skipped rather than returned as empty records.
- **Dates:** the master list goes back decades. Leave the date fields empty when searching by name to search all filing years; browse mode defaults to the last 30 days.
- **One row per filing:** a filing that covers several farm products, counties, debtors or lenders is merged into one result with semicolon-separated lists.
- **Status:** the master list contains liens that have not lapsed. Status is derived from the published lapse date, so a filing whose lapse date has passed is marked `lapsed`.
- **Crop year:** many farm-product filings are not crop-year specific. Those rows return `crop_years: null` rather than an invented value.
- **Result cap:** up to **1,000** unique EFS filings per run. Free users are capped at 10.
- **No login, no captcha, no browser:** the actor reads the public state data over HTTPS.

### FAQ

**Is this the same as an Oregon UCC filings feed?**
No. The Farm Products Master List is a separate statutory dataset for EFS farm-product liens. It publishes the product, county, crop year and farm parties, which the general Oregon UCC filings and secured-parties lists do not.

**Does it include lapsed liens?**
The master list publishes liens that have not lapsed. The actor also derives `status` from the lapse date and marks a filing as `lapsed` if that date has passed.

**Can I search all years for a debtor?**
Yes. Leave the date fields empty when searching by debtor or lender name. Browse mode without a name or filing number defaults to the last 30 days.

**Why is a filing missing a crop year?**
Many EFS filings cover all crop years or are not crop-year specific. Those records return `crop_years: null` instead of a guessed value.

**Are the addresses always complete?**
They are reproduced as the state publishes them. Some historical filings have no address for one of the parties.

**Is this a consumer credit report?**
No. It is public-record research for B2B lead generation, KYB, due diligence and secured-lending monitoring. It is not an FCRA consumer report.

### Notes

- This actor is specific to **Oregon farm-product EFS liens**. It is not a general UCC feed and does not return deeds, plats, court records or consumer data.
- Public, non-certified data. For a certified UCC/EFS search, order directly from the Oregon Secretary of State.
- Party names and addresses are reproduced as published; the state does not guarantee their accuracy.
