## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

### Use cases

- Check Aspen-area judgment, HOA and construction liens per party.
- **Equipment finance, factoring and commercial lenders:** monitor competitor secured-party activity, refinances and payoffs in a high-value resort market.
- **Credit, collections and recovery teams:** surface tax liens and judgment liens against a debtor.
- **HOA, construction and supplier credit teams:** find lien claimants and the owners behind them.
- **KYB, legal and due-diligence teams:** confirm lien chains, parties, releases, amounts and recorded book/page.

### Coverage and freshness

- **Jurisdiction:** Pitkin County, Colorado (Clerk and Recorder, Real Property index).
- **Records:** UCC financing statements and the UCC-3 chain, federal and state tax liens, judgment liens, lis pendens, HOA/construction/general liens and their releases.
- **Indexed fields:** instrument number, document type and code, document group, recorded date and time, grantor and grantee, debtor and secured party, legal description, subdivision, lot, block, unit, tract, PLSS, PIN, amount when published, book/volume/page, page count and recorder remarks.
- **Freshness:** the index is the county's live public recording index. Recent recordings appear as they are indexed.
- **Not included:** deeds, deeds of trust, mortgages, plats, marriage records and other non-lien instruments. The county publishes legal descriptions and PLSS/PIN references on many instruments but does not publish a property street address; the actor returns what the county publishes and never invents a parcel.
- **Releases:** the county indexes UCC terminations, tax-lien releases and withdrawals, lien releases and lis-pendens releases. Turn off "Include terminations, releases and withdrawals" to return only new liens.

### Pricing

This actor uses pay-per-event pricing. These are the current Apify prices, read on 2026-11-06.

| Event | Price | When it is charged |
|---|---|---|
| `result` | $0.015 | Each record delivered to your dataset |
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.003 | When a run starts, once per GB of run memory with a minimum of one |

At the default 512 MB, a run that delivers 100 records costs $1.503.

- Apify asks for a maximum spend of at least $0.018 per run on this actor.
- Accounts on the free Apify plan receive up to 10 results per run.
- If nothing matches or the source fails, you get one row with an `error` field and no `result` charge. The start event still applies to the run.
- Set a maximum cost per run and the actor stops delivering results when it reaches that limit.

### Comparison with other Apify actors

No dedicated actor for this source on the Apify Store as of November 2026. We searched the public Store on 2026-11-06 with queries including "Pitkin County Colorado lien", "Pitkin County recorder" and "Pitkin County ucc", and we reviewed the listings for this source and data type. Broader actors exist: `shelvick/property-deed-records` searches deed and lien records from county recorder indexes. Their listings do not name this source, so we could not confirm that they cover it. Store listings change, so run the same search before you rely on this.

### FAQ

**Does this cover the Colorado Secretary of State UCC feed?**

No. Data comes from the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder index. It covers county-recorded liens, judgments, lis pendens and UCC filings recorded in Pitkin County. The Colorado Secretary of State's statewide UCC feed is a separate source.

**Is this the same as the Arapahoe County actor?**

No. Pitkin County is a separate Colorado recording jurisdiction with its own index codes, document mix and party conventions. Arapahoe and Pitkin records do not overlap.

**Can I search by secured party or lender?**

Yes. Use the lender field. The actor searches the secured-party side and also matches releases and withdrawals where the lender or agency is the releasing party.

**Can I get only new liens and skip releases?**

Yes. Turn off "Include terminations, releases and withdrawals" to return only new liens and active filings.

**Are mechanic's liens and tax liens included?**

Federal and Colorado tax liens are a separate category. Construction and HOA liens are published by this county under the generic `LIEN` code, so they are returned in the **Other liens** category rather than mislabeled as mechanic's liens.

**Does a record include the property address or legal description?**

The county publishes legal descriptions, subdivision, lot, block, unit, tract, PLSS and PIN references on many instruments, and the actor returns them when present. It does not publish a property street address or return/mailing address for these instruments, so those fields are not part of this dataset. The actor returns exactly what the county publishes and does not guess a parcel.

**Is this a consumer credit report?**

No. This is public-record research for business and legal due diligence.
