## Pricing

from $1.80 / 1,000 pins

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Pinterest Pin Scraper

Type the phrases you would type into Pinterest's own search box and get the pins
as a table: the image, **the page each pin links to and the domain behind it**,
title, description, author, and whether it carries a video — in Pinterest's own
order, with the rank on every row.

No account, no API key, no quota.

### What one row looks like

```json
{
  "query": "home coffee roasting",
  "rank": 1,
  "pinId": "916904805392964592",
  "pinUrl": "https://www.pinterest.com/pin/916904805392964592/",
  "title": "Roasting day at heller coffee",
  "description": "Step inside our roastery with our latest behind-the-scenes video…",
  "altText": "a man standing in front of a piano with the words roasting day on it",
  "destinationUrl": "https://heller.coffee/products/the-original",
  "domain": "heller.coffee",
  "imageUrl": "https://i.pinimg.com/originals/da/07/bb/da07bbd24a409d04a581241004e89694.jpg",
  "imageWidth": 736,
  "imageHeight": 1308,
  "isVideo": true,
  "videoUrl": "https://v1.pinimg.com/videos/iht/hls/cd/5b/cf/….m3u8",
  "videoSeconds": 43,
  "dominantColor": "#52392c",
  "createdAt": "Wed, 12 Mar 2025 14:03:08 +0000",
  "authorUsername": "hellercoffee",
  "authorName": "heller.coffee",
  "authorUrl": "https://www.pinterest.com/hellercoffee/",
  "authorIsVerifiedMerchant": true,
  "isPromoted": false,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-29T11:20:14+00:00"
}
```

23 fields. Views in the dataset tab: **Pins**, **Where they link**,
**Creators**, **All fields**.

### The thing most people came for

**`destinationUrl` and `domain`.** A pin is a picture pointing at a page, and
the page is usually the point — a shop, a recipe, an article. The **Where they
link** view is that list on its own: which sites are winning a phrase on
Pinterest, and who pinned them.

### Two things said up front

**1. Search answers carry no save or comment counts.** Pinterest does not put
them in a search response, so those columns do not exist here rather than
existing and being empty. What a pin does carry is above.

**2. Pinterest mixes its own shelves into the results** — "Explore featured
boards" cards that have no link, no author and no image of their own. They are
dropped before anything is stored, so you are never charged for one.

### Filters, applied before a row is stored

| filter | what it does |
|---|---|
| **Only pins that link somewhere** | drops pins with no destination page |
| **Only video pins** | keeps the ones carrying a video, with its stream URL |
| **Skip promoted pins** | drops the ones Pinterest marks as advertising |

A dropped pin is never charged.

### What it costs to run

The first request of a run is Pinterest's search page — about a megabyte, once,
because the pins endpoint will not answer a session that has not been through
it. Every page after that is roughly 250 KB for about twenty pins.

### What it does not do

- **It does not read a board or a profile.** Give it search phrases; boards
  are a different surface and will be their own listing if they open.
- **It does not log in**, so it sees what a signed-out visitor sees.
- **It does not invent counts** — see above.

### Free plan

Everything works on the free plan: the same fields, the same filters.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One per line, exactly as you would type them into Pinterest's search box. Each phrase is searched separately and every row says which one it came from.

## `maxPins` (type: `integer`):

A ceiling for the whole run, across every phrase. Pins dropped by a filter are never charged.

## `maxPinsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Pinterest serves about twenty pins per request, so this is also roughly what a phrase costs.

## `onlyWithDestinationLink` (type: `boolean`):

Most pins point at a web page; a few point nowhere. Switch this on when the link is the reason you are here. Dropped pins are free.

## `onlyVideoPins` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only pins that carry a video, with its stream URL.

## `skipPromoted` (type: `boolean`):

Drop the ones Pinterest marks as advertising.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "home coffee roasting",
    "minimalist kitchen"
  ],
  "maxPins": 40,
  "maxPinsPerQuery": 20,
  "onlyWithDestinationLink": false,
  "onlyVideoPins": false,
  "skipPromoted": false
}
```
