## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Israel Used Car Check - Vehicle History by License Plate

Enter an Israeli license plate (מספר רישוי) and get a **full used-car report** built from the official Israel Ministry of Transport open data - in English, in seconds. Check one car before you buy, or thousands for a dealership, insurer or app.

### What the report includes

- **Registry status:** active, inactive, off the road / scrapped (with date), heavy vehicle, two-wheeler, personal import
- **Mileage:** odometer at the last annual test, average km per year
- **History:** previous use (leasing, rental, private), structure change, color change, LPG conversion, tire-size change
- **Open safety recalls** not yet fixed, with a description of each fault
- **License (test):** last test date, valid until, still valid?
- **Vehicle details:** make, model, trim, year, color, fuel, ownership type, VIN, first on road, disabled-parking tag
- **Specs:** body type, engine cc, horsepower, gearbox, airbags, ABS, stability control, towing capacity
- **Risk flags:** a plain-English list of anything a buyer should ask about

### Who it is for

- **Used-car buyers:** check a car before you see it - is the mileage plausible, was it a rental, does it have an open recall?
- **Dealers and importers:** screen trade-ins and stock in bulk.
- **Insurers, leasing and fleet companies:** enrich plate lists and flag risky vehicles.
- **Developers and AI agents:** one API call instead of parsing ten Hebrew government datasets.

### How to use

1. Enter plates in **License plates** (dashes and spaces are fine).
2. Click **Start**.
3. Download the reports as JSON, CSV or Excel, or call the Actor through the API, Make, Zapier, n8n or MCP.

### Pricing

Pay per report: you are charged only for plates that are found. Plates that are not found are returned with `found: false`.

### Data source and limits

All data comes from public datasets the Israeli Ministry of Transport publishes on data.gov.il. The report does not include owner identity, accident history or liens, because the government does not publish them. Data is as fresh as the government datasets.

### Related tools

- [Israel Vehicle Lookup by License Plate](https://apify.com/lior-tools/israel-vehicle-lookup) - a lighter, cheaper lookup (make, model, year, color, fuel, ownership, test dates) when you do not need the full history report.

This Actor is an independent tool and is not affiliated with the Israeli government.

## `includeNotFound` (type: `boolean`):

Add a row with found=false for plates missing from all registries (not charged).

## Actor input object example

```json
    "53774801",
    "9533278"
  ],
  "includeNotFound": true
}
```
