## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Ausbildung.de Scraper — German apprenticeship vacancies by city

Extract German apprenticeship (Ausbildung) and dual-study vacancies from Ausbildung.de by city and topic: title, company, location, start date, URL.

### Three rows from a real run

| Title | Company | Location | Type and start |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Ausbildung Informationselektroniker 2027 (m/w/d) | BAUER Elektroanlagen | 12489 Berlin + 6 weitere | Ausbildung (Start: 01.09.2027) |
| Ausbildung zum*zur Kaufmann*Kauffrau im Einzelhandel (m/w/d) | TK Maxx (TJX Deutschland Ltd. & Co. KG) | 14169 Berlin + 96 weitere | Ausbildung (Start: 01.08.2027) |
| ⚓ Ausbildung Koch (w/m/d) - Hochsee - Start 2028 | sea chefs Human Resources Services GmbH | 10115 Berlin + 1 weiterer | Ausbildung (Start: nach Absprache) |

The default run (no input (23 large cities), `maxItems: 100`) on 21 October 2026 returned 100 rows in 16 seconds and costs $0.15 at $1.50 per 1,000 results.

Ausbildung.de is one of Germany's portals for apprenticeships (Ausbildung) and dual study. This Actor turns its city pages into a clean table: the vacancy, the company, where it is (and in how many more places the company trains), and when the training starts.

Press Start. The defaults return 20 vacancies from each of 23 large cities (Berlin, Hamburg, München, Köln, …).

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "title": "Ausbildung Informationselektroniker 2027 (m/w/d)",
  "company": "BAUER Elektroanlagen",
  "location": "12489 Berlin + 6 weitere",
  "workplace_postal_code": "12489",
  "employment_type": "Ausbildung (Start: 01.09.2027)",
  "source_url": "https://www.ausbildung.de/stellen/ausbildung-informationselektroniker-2027-m-w-d-bei-bauer-elektroanlagen-in-berlin-1924f2ff-1e56-461f-bf78-05acc5896267/",
  "external_id": "1924f2ff-1e56-461f-bf78-05acc5896267"
}
```

`company` is the training company. Business names only: a name that is or contains a person's name is left empty. No contact person is collected and the vacancy text is not read.

Every row also carries `source_site` and `scraped_at`.

| Field | What it holds | How often it is filled (example run, 100 rows) |
|---|---|---|
| `title`, `company` | Vacancy title; company | Always |
| `location` | Postcode and town, and "+ N weitere" when the company trains in more places | Always |
| `workplace_postal_code` | Postcode of the first place | 74 of 100 |
| `employment_type` | Ausbildung or Duales Studium, with the start as the site writes it (a date, "nach Absprache") | Always |
| `source_url`, `external_id` | The vacancy on Ausbildung.de, its id | Always |

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `location` | One German city, e.g. `Hamburg`, `München`, `Leipzig`. Empty: 23 large cities. |
| `category` | One of the site's topic pages: `pflege`, `it`, `handwerk`, `kaufmaennisch`, `technik`, `gastronomie`, … Empty: all topics. |
| `startYear` | Keep only vacancies starting in this year, e.g. `2027` ("nach Absprache" has no year and is left out then). |
| `maxItems` | Stop after this many rows. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default; not needed for this site. |

### How it works

Ausbildung.de's own search keeps its query out of the web address and answers with vacancies near wherever it places the visitor, so it cannot be steered. The Actor reads the site's city pages instead (and its city-and-topic pages), which are stable: each shows 20 vacancies and no second page, so a run returns at most 20 per city and topic. It pauses 2 seconds between requests and never opens a vacancy's page. No keyword search and no posting date: the city pages show neither.

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 results (event `result-item`), no start fee. Set a maximum charge per run in the run options to cap it.

### Good to know

- The data is what the site shows on the day of the run.

# Actor input Schema

## `location` (type: `string`):

One German city, e.g. Hamburg, München, Leipzig. Leave empty for 23 large cities (20 vacancies each). An unknown city returns no rows.

## `category` (type: `string`):

One of the site's topic pages (pflege, it, handwerk, kaufmaennisch, …). Each city and topic page holds 20 vacancies.

## `startYear` (type: `string`):

Keep only vacancies whose start date is in this year, e.g. 2027. Vacancies starting 'nach Absprache' have no year and are left out when this is set.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many records. Keeps your cost predictable.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default. Turn on (residential, in the site's country) only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "location": "",
  "category": "",
  "startYear": "",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

All listings from this run: what the car is, what it costs, and who is selling it.

## `pricing` (type: `string`):

The same listings reduced to the fields used for price analysis and market monitoring.

## `dealers` (type: `string`):

The same listings focused on who is selling them.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
