## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Djinni Scraper — Ukraine IT jobs and remote tech jobs

Extract IT jobs from Djinni.co by keyword and city: title, company, location, remote, employment type, category, posting and closing date, URL. JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Three rows from a real run

| Title | Company | Location | Category |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Senior Python and Go Engineer IRC305784 | GlobalLogic | Ukraine (remote) | Golang |
| DevOps Engineer with Azure and Kubernetes | DataArt | Cyprus | DevOps |
| Senior Python Developer | Solid Software | Worldwide (remote) | Python |

The default run (`searchTerms: ["python"]`, `maxItems: 100`) on 22 October 2026 returned 100 rows in 23 seconds (of 963 Python jobs the site listed) and costs $0.15 at $1.50 per 1,000 results.

Djinni is the main job board for IT in Ukraine, with remote roles for Ukrainian and international candidates. This Actor turns its job list into a clean table: the job, the company, where it is (or that it is remote), the employment type, the category the site files it under, and when it was posted and closes.

Press Start. The defaults return the newest Python jobs.

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "title": "Senior Python and Go Engineer",
  "company": "GlobalLogic",
  "location": "Ukraine",
  "remote": true,
  "employment_type": "Full-time (Full Remote)",
  "categories": ["Golang"],
  "posted_at": "2026-10-22",
  "application_deadline": "2026-11-21",
  "source_url": "https://djinni.co/jobs/854581-senior-python-and-go-engineer-irc305784/",
  "external_id": "854581"
}
```

`company` is the employer as the site shows it. Business names only: a name that is or contains a person's name is left empty. The posting text is not read, and no recruiter or candidate data is collected. The site shows pay only as a $ to $$$$ band, so there is no salary figure.

Every row also carries `source_site` and `scraped_at`.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searchTerms` | Keywords, e.g. `python`, `devops`, `QA`. Each keyword is one full-text search. Empty: every job. |
| `location` | One city as the site lists it, e.g. `Kyiv`, `Lviv`, `Kharkiv`. Empty: every place, remote jobs included. |
| `maxItems` | Stop after this many rows. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default; not needed for this site. |

### How it works

The Actor reads the site's own job list page by page (15 jobs a page), pausing 2 seconds between requests, and never opens a job's page. The site's count tells it when the list ends. A keyword with no match returns no rows with a warning; so does a city the site does not know, instead of the whole country (the site itself would quietly show everything).

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 results (event `result-item`), no start fee. Set a maximum charge per run in the run options to cap it.

### Good to know

- The data is what the site shows on the day of the run.
- Terms: djinni.co publishes no terms of use (only a privacy policy); its robots.txt allows the job list. Checked 22 October 2026.
- Questions or a missing field: open an issue on this Actor.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keywords, e.g. python, devops or QA. Each keyword is one full-text search. Leave empty for every job.

## `location` (type: `string`):

One city as the site lists it, e.g. Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro or Odesa. Leave empty for every place, remote jobs included. A city the site does not know returns no rows, with a warning in the log.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many records. Keeps your cost predictable.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default. Turn on (residential, in the site's country) only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "python"
  ],
  "location": "",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

All postings from this run: what the job is, who is hiring, and where.

## `employers` (type: `string`):

The same postings ordered around who is hiring.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
