## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Freelancer.nl Scraper — Dutch freelance assignments

Extract freelance assignments from Freelancer.nl by keyword and town: title, town, skills, budget where shown, posting date, URL. Dutch freelance and ZZP work.

### Three rows from a real run

| Assignment | Town | Budget | Posted |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Freelance B2B-afspraakplanner gezocht voor websiteverkoop (proefweek) | Remote | – | 2026-10-20 |
| Meta Ads-specialist gezocht | Hengelo | – | 2026-10-17 |
| Marketing ondersteuning gezocht voor social media posts | Remote | 30–40 EUR per hour | 2026-10-15 |

The default run (`searchTerms: ["marketing"]`, `maxItems: 100`) on 21 October 2026 returned 100 rows in 16 seconds and costs $0.15 at $1.50 per 1,000 results.

Freelancer.nl is a Dutch marketplace where clients post freelance and ZZP assignments. This Actor turns its assignment list into a clean table: what the assignment is, the town (or Remote), the skills it asks for, the budget where the client gives one, and when it was posted.

Press Start. The defaults return marketing assignments across the Netherlands.

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "title": "Freelance B2B-afspraakplanner gezocht voor websiteverkoop (proefweek)",
  "location": "Remote",
  "remote": true,
  "employment_type": "Freelance",
  "salary_currency": "",
  "salary_period": "",
  "posted_at": "2026-10-20",
  "categories": [
    "Telemarketing",
    "Koude acquisitie",
    "Leadgeneratie",
    "B2B Sales",
    "afspraken inplannen",
    "telefonische verkoop"
  ],
  "source_url": "https://freelancer.nl/opdrachten/telemarketing-koude-acquisitie-leadgeneratie-b2b-sales-afspraken-inplannen-telefonische-verkoop/freelance-b2b-afspraakplanner-gezocht-voor-websiteverkoop-proefweek-43e02d0e",
  "external_id": "43e02d0e"
}
```

Clients are not named on the list and none is collected; the assignment text, which can carry a client's own words, is not read. No contact person, e-mail or phone is collected.

Every row also carries `source_site` and `scraped_at`.

| Field | What it holds | How often it is filled (example run, 100 rows) |
|---|---|---|
| `title`, `location` | Assignment title; town or Remote | Always |
| `remote` | true for a Remote assignment | 52 of 100 |
| `categories` | The skills tagged on the assignment | 98 of 100 |
| `salary_min`, `salary_max`, `salary_currency` | Budget where the client gives one; EUR | 29 of 100 |
| `salary_period` | `hour` where the budget is hourly; empty for a fixed price | 18 of 100 |
| `posted_at` | Day posted (from "x hours / days ago") | Always |
| `source_url`, `external_id` | The assignment on Freelancer.nl, its id | Always |

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searchTerms` | Keywords, e.g. `marketing`, `wordpress`, `boekhouding`. Each keyword is one search. Empty: every assignment. |
| `location` | One Dutch town, e.g. `Amsterdam`, `Den Haag`, `Utrecht`. Empty: the whole country, Remote included. An unknown town returns no rows. |
| `postedAfter`, `sinceDays` | Keep only assignments posted on or after a date, or in the last N days. |
| `maxItems` | Stop after this many rows (720 at most per search). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default; not needed for this site. |

### How it works

The Actor reads the site's own assignment list, 24 at a time, pausing 2 seconds between requests, and never opens an assignment's page. The site's pages add up (page 3 shows the first 72), so only the new 24 are read from each; a search reads at most 30 pages (720 assignments).

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 results (event `result-item`), no start fee. Set a maximum charge per run in the run options to cap it.

### Good to know

- The data is what the site shows on the day of the run.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keywords, e.g. marketing, wordpress or boekhouding. Each keyword is one search. Leave empty for every assignment.

## `location` (type: `string`):

One Dutch town, e.g. Amsterdam, Den Haag or Utrecht. Leave empty for the whole country (remote assignments included).

## `postedAfter` (type: `string`):

Return only listings posted at or after this ISO 8601 date-time, e.g. 2026-09-01T00:00:00Z.

## `sinceDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only listings posted in the last N days, counted in UTC from the day the run starts: 1 = yesterday and today. Made for a daily schedule. Ignored when Posted after is set.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many records. Keeps your cost predictable.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default. Turn on (residential, in the site's country) only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "marketing"
  ],
  "location": "",
  "postedAfter": "",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

## `pricing` (type: `string`):

The same listings reduced to the fields used for price analysis and market monitoring.

## `dealers` (type: `string`):

The same listings focused on who is selling them.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
