## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Greenhouse Jobs Scraper — job board API for ATS job listings

Get every open job from companies that hire through the Greenhouse ATS, using Greenhouse's public Job Board API: title, company, location, remote, department, employment type, posting date and apply URL. Give the companies' board tokens. JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Three rows from a real run

| Title | Company | Location | Department | Posted |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Staff Software Engineer - Consumer Revenue | Discord | Remote | Product Engineering | 2026-09-02 |
| Distribution Partner Manager | Figma | San Francisco, CA • New York, NY • United States | Business Development | 2026-02-27 |
| Strategic Finance | Figma | San Francisco, CA • New York, NY • United States | Business Operations | 2026-02-04 |

The default run (`boards: ["discord", "figma", "airbnb"]`, `maxItems: 100`) on 4 November 2026 returned 100 rows in 6 seconds (Discord's 31 open jobs and 69 of Figma's 145; it stopped at 100 before Airbnb) and costs $0.10 at $1.00 per 1,000 results.

Thousands of companies — Airbnb, Stripe, Figma, Discord, Anthropic, Databricks, Cloudflare and many more — publish their careers page from Greenhouse. This Actor reads those boards straight from Greenhouse's own API and turns them into one clean table: the job, the company, where it is (or that it is remote), the department, and when it was published. No browser, no proxy, no login.

Press Start. The defaults return the open jobs of Discord, Figma and Airbnb, up to 100 rows.

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "title": "Senior Accountant, Consolidations",
  "company": "Airbnb",
  "location": "United States",
  "remote": true,
  "categories": ["Accounting"],
  "posted_at": "2026-10-29",
  "apply_url": "https://careers.airbnb.com/positions/8331990?gh_jid=8331990",
  "source_url": "https://careers.airbnb.com/positions/8331990?gh_jid=8331990",
  "external_id": "8331990"
}
```

- `categories` is the department the company files the job under.
- `remote` is `true` or `false` when the company tags the job's workplace type (Remote / On-site); a hybrid job or a job without the tag leaves it empty. A location written as just "Remote" also counts as remote.
- `employment_type` is filled when the company adds an employment-type field to its jobs.
- `posted_at` is when the job was first published on the board; `application_deadline` is filled where the company sets one.

Company names only. The job description is never requested, and none of the custom fields a company may add (where a recruiter's or hiring manager's name could appear) is read, except the workplace and employment type.

Every row also carries `source_site` and `scraped_at`.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `boards` | Board tokens, one per company: the part after `job-boards.greenhouse.io/` in the company's job page address, e.g. `airbnb`, `stripe`, `figma`, `anthropic`. A board URL works too. |
| `searchTerms` | Keep only jobs whose title contains one of these words, e.g. `engineer`, `sales`, `data`. Empty: every open job. |
| `postedAfter` / `sinceDays` | Keep only jobs first published from that date, or in the last N days. |
| `maxItems` | Stop after this many rows. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default; the API answers without one. |

**Finding a board token:** open the company's careers page and click a job. If the address contains `greenhouse.io/<name>/jobs/…` or the page has `gh_jid=` in its links, the company is on Greenhouse and `<name>` is the token. A token Greenhouse does not know returns no rows, with a warning in the log; the other boards still run.

### How it works

One request per company returns all of its open jobs, grouped by department, from `boards-api.greenhouse.io` — the API Greenhouse publishes for this ("Job Board data is publicly available, so authentication is not required"). The Actor pauses a second between companies. A refused request or a broken connection is tried again up to three times, five seconds apart, with a fresh connection.

### Pricing

$1.00 per 1,000 results (event `result-item`), no start fee. Set a maximum charge per run in the run options to cap it.

### Good to know

- The data is what each board shows on the day of the run; Greenhouse boards change as companies open and close jobs.
- Lever, Ashby and Workday boards are not covered by this Actor.
- Source and terms: Greenhouse's Job Board API is public and needs no key (docs.greenhouse.io/job-board.html); robots.txt of boards-api.greenhouse.io disallows /embed/ only. Checked 4 November 2026. The jobs belong to the companies that post them.
- Questions or a missing field: open an issue on this Actor.

# Actor input Schema

## `boards` (type: `array`):

Greenhouse board tokens, one per company: the part after job-boards.greenhouse.io/ in the company's job page address, e.g. airbnb, stripe, figma, anthropic. A board URL works too. A board Greenhouse does not know returns no rows, with a warning in the log.

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains one of these words, e.g. engineer, sales, data. Leave empty for every open job on the boards.

## `postedAfter` (type: `string`):

Return only jobs posted at or after this ISO 8601 date-time, e.g. 2026-11-01T00:00:00Z.

## `sinceDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs posted in the last N days, counted in UTC from the day the run starts: 1 = yesterday and today. Made for a daily schedule. Ignored when Posted after is set.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many records. Keeps your cost predictable.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default; the API answers without one. Turn on only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "boards": [
    "discord",
    "figma",
    "airbnb"
  ],
  "searchTerms": [],
  "postedAfter": "",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

All postings from this run: what the job is, who is hiring, and where.

## `employers` (type: `string`):

The same postings ordered around who is hiring.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
