## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Webmotors Scraper — Brazilian car listings by make and place

### Three rows from a real run

| Car | Model year | Mileage | Price | Town | Seller |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| FIAT IDEA 1.8 MPI ADVENTURE 16V FLEX 4P MANUAL | 2016 | 77,650 km | 45,800 BRL | Extrema, Minas Gerais (MG) | private |
| FIAT FASTBACK 1.3 TURBO 270 FLEX LIMITED EDITION AT6 | 2023 | 50,000 km | 96,000 BRL | São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo (SP) | private |
| FIAT FASTBACK 1.0 TURBO 200 FLEX CVT | 2026 | 6,000 km | 109,000 BRL | São Paulo, São Paulo (SP) | private |

The default run (`searchTerms: ["fiat"]`, no place, `maxItems: 100`) on 2026-10-20 returned 100 cars from all over Brazil in 9 seconds and costs $0.15 at $1.50 per 1,000 listings.

Webmotors.com.br is Brazil's largest car marketplace: about 350,000 new and
used cars from dealers and private sellers. This Actor turns a make's search,
nationwide, in one state or in one city, into a clean table: make, model,
version, model year, mileage, gearbox, power, the price in reais, the town and
state, and whether a dealer or a private person sells it.

Press Start. The defaults return Fiats from all over Brazil, with no
configuration needed.

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "title": "FIAT FIORINO 1.4 MPI FURGÃO ENDURANCE 8V FLEX 2P MANUAL",
  "make": "FIAT",
  "model": "FIORINO",
  "version": "1.4 MPI FURGÃO ENDURANCE 8V FLEX 2P MANUAL",
  "year": 2024,
  "mileage_km": 97592,
  "fuel_type": "Flex",
  "gearbox": "Manual",
  "engine_power_hp": 86,
  "price": 92900,
  "currency": "BRL",
  "city": "São José dos Campos",
  "region": "São Paulo (SP)",
  "seller_name": "P3 AUTOMOVEIS",
  "seller_type": "professional",
  "dealer_id": "3918856",
  "source_url": "https://www.webmotors.com.br/comprar/fiat/fiorino/14-mpi-furgao-endurance-8v-flex-2p-manual/2-portas/2023-2024/79175743",
  "thumbnail_url": "https://image.webmotors.com.br/_fotos/anunciousados/gigante/2026/202609/20260925/fiat-fiorino-1-4-mpi-furgao-endurance-8v-flex-2p-manual-wmimagem04014617515.webp",
  "external_id": "79175743"
}
```

- **`price`** is the asking price in Brazilian reais, as the site shows it. A
  car with no price has no price, not a price of zero.
- **`year`** is the model year. A car built in 2023 as a 2024 model is 2024.
- **`mileage_km`** is in kilometres. It is 0 for a new car.
- **`engine_power_hp`** is the site's figure in cv (metric horsepower). It is
  empty where the site gives none.
- **`fuel_type`** comes from the version name, because the site's search has
  no fuel field. It is set only when the version names exactly one fuel:
  Flex, Gasolina, Diesel, Elétrico or Híbrido. Otherwise it is empty.
- **`gearbox`** keeps the site's own words ("Automática", "Manual", "CVT").
- **`region`** is the state as the site writes it, e.g. "São Paulo (SP)".

**Dealers are named. Private sellers are not.** A dealer ("Loja",
"Concessionária") is output with its trading name and its id on the site. A
private seller ("Pessoa Física") is output only as `seller_type: private`, with
the town and state. No name, phone, street or postcode is in any row, and the
ad text is never read. A phone number or e-mail address typed into a dealer
name is removed.

### No listing dates

The site does not show when a car was listed, and it does not sort by date.
So there is no `posted_at`, and this Actor has no `postedAfter` filter. Every
row carries the site's own id, so comparing today's run with yesterday's shows
you what is new.

### What people use it for

- Watching a competitor's stock and prices across one state or city.
- Tracking asking prices for one make and model across Brazil, week by week.
- Comparing dealer prices with private sellers' prices for the same model.
- Sourcing stock for a dealership or a trading business.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `searchTerms` | Car makes, e.g. `fiat`, `volkswagen`, `chevrolet`, `toyota`, `mercedes-benz`. `VW`, `GM` and `Mercedes` work too. Each make is its own search. Leave empty for every car on the site. A make the site does not know fails the run. |
| `location` | A state (`SP` or `São Paulo`) or a city with its state (`Campinas, SP`). Leave empty for the whole country. A city the site does not know fails the run. |
| `maxItems` | Hard stop, so your bill is predictable. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default. Webmotors can refuse requests from data-centre servers; if a run fails with 403, turn on a residential proxy in Brazil. |

### How much one run returns

The site serves 47 cars per page, and this Actor reads one page every 3
seconds, so 1,000 cars take about a minute. On 25 September 2026 the site
counted 22,439 Fiats in the state of São Paulo and 10,644 Volkswagens in the
city of São Paulo.

**One search reaches about 10,000 cars.** The site serves at most 213 pages of
47, whatever its count says. When a search is bigger, the run stops there and
says so in its report. Split it by make or by state to get the rest. Use
`maxItems` to keep a run short.

### Pricing

$1.50 per 1,000 listings (event `result-item`), no start fee. Platform usage is not passed on to you.

You are charged for rows you actually receive. If you set a maximum charge for
the run, it stops cleanly at that limit instead of overshooting it.

### Scope and limits

Public listings only, from the search the site's own pages use, which its
robots.txt allows. The paths and filters it disallows (the ad pages and their
data, and the price, mileage, gearbox, fuel, colour, seller-type and sort
filters) are never requested.

You can search by **make and place only**. This Actor **cannot filter by
model, price, year, mileage or fuel**, and it cannot choose the sort order.
Each row carries those fields for you to filter on.

Every page is checked before its rows are used. The site reports which make,
state, city and page it actually searched, and all four must match what was
asked. Otherwise the run fails rather than returning rows you did not ask for
and charging you for them. This matters here: when the site does not know a
make, it quietly drops it and answers with the whole market.

If Webmotors changes its search, the run goes red. It does not return zero
rows and report success. A silent scraper is worse than a broken one, because
you find out weeks later.

Every run also publishes the site's own result count next to the rows it
delivered, so you can see "100 rows of 22,439 the site reports". That number
is what the site says, not a promise about what one run returns.

### Same shape, other sites

This Actor shares its output shape with the public car Actors in this
catalogue: Marktplaats (Netherlands), 2dehands (Belgium), willhaben (Austria),
Bazoš (Slovakia), PolovniAutomobili (Serbia) and Wayke (Sweden). A parser you
write for one keeps working on the others.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchTerms` (type: `array`):

Makes as webmotors.com.br writes them, e.g. fiat, volkswagen, chevrolet, toyota, mercedes-benz (VW, GM and Mercedes work too). Each make is its own search. Leave empty for every car on the site. A make the site does not know fails the run instead of returning the whole market.

## `location` (type: `string`):

A Brazilian state (SP or São Paulo) or a city with its state (Campinas, SP). Leave empty for the whole country. A city the site does not know fails the run instead of returning unfiltered results.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many listings. webmotors.com.br serves 47 per page, one page every 3 seconds, and about 10,000 per search.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default. Turn on (residential, Brazil) only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchTerms": [
    "fiat"
  ],
  "location": "SP",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

All webmotors.com.br cars from this run: what the car is, what it costs, and who sells it where.

## `pricing` (type: `string`):

The same listings reduced to the fields used for price analysis and market monitoring.

## `dealers` (type: `string`):

The same listings focused on who is selling them: the dealer, or private.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
