## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 result items

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Willhaben Auto Scraper — Austrian used-car listings, prices and dealers

Willhaben is Austria's largest marketplace, and its Gebrauchtwagenbörse is
where most Austrian used cars are listed, by dealers and by private sellers
alike. This Actor turns the car listings into a clean table: what the car is,
what it costs, where it is, and who is selling it.

Press Start. The defaults return listings from across Austria with no
configuration needed.

### What a row looks like

```json
{
  "make": "Volkswagen",
  "model": "Golf",
  "version": "2.0 TDI Life DSG",
  "year": 2021,
  "mileage_km": 61000,
  "fuel_type": "Diesel",
  "gearbox": "Automatik",
  "engine_power_hp": 150,
  "price": 24990,
  "currency": "EUR",
  "city": "Graz",
  "region": "Steiermark",
  "seller_name": "Autohaus Beispiel GmbH",
  "seller_type": "professional",
  "dealer_id": "123456",
  "posted_at": "2026-09-15T14:02:37Z",
  "source_url": "https://www.willhaben.at/iad/gebrauchtwagen/d/…",
  "thumbnail_url": "https://cache.willhaben.at/mmo/…",
  "external_id": "987654321"
}
```

Dealer identity comes with the row when Willhaben marks the ad as a dealer's —
about 98 rows in 100 on a sample run — with no second request and no extra
charge. A private seller, or an ad Willhaben leaves unmarked, is treated as a
person: `seller_name` and `dealer_id` are empty and `seller_type` is `private`,
because guessing there would mean publishing a person's name. Phone numbers, email
addresses and the free-text ad body are never collected, for anyone.

### What people use it for

Price monitoring, where you re-run a saved search on a schedule and watch a
segment of the Austrian market move. Dealer and inventory research, where the
seller fields matter as much as the cars. And feeding a comparison or
valuation tool that needs Austrian market data it cannot get from an official
API.

### Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `location` | An Austrian state slug, such as `wien`, `steiermark` or `tirol`. Uses Willhaben's own state pages. Leave empty for the whole country. |
| `postedAfter` | Only keep listings published after this date-time (ISO 8601). Willhaben publishes timestamps to the second, so this filter works to the minute. |
| `maxItems` | Hard stop, so your bill is predictable. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Off by default. Most runs do not need one. |

There is no make or model filter. Willhaben's make filter lives on a request
path its robots.txt disallows, so this Actor returns the state or the country
and you filter the rows yourself. Set `maxItems` accordingly — Austria-wide is
about 157,000 ads.

### Pricing

$3.00 per 1,000 listings, dropping to $1.50 per 1,000 on higher Apify plans,
plus $0.005 each time a run starts. There is no separate charge for dealer
details, and platform usage is not passed on to you.

You are charged for rows you actually receive. If you set a maximum charge for
the run, it stops cleanly at that limit instead of overshooting it.

### Scope and limits

Public listings only, from the search results page. Engine displacement and
the dealer's own website are not on that page, so they are not in the output;
power is given in hp, converted from the kW Willhaben publishes.

If the state slug is not one Willhaben recognises — or if Willhaben quietly
answers a state page with nationwide results, which it does for some URL
shapes — the run fails and tells you, rather than returning every car in
Austria and charging you for them.

Willhaben's search is not strictly sorted by date, so `postedAfter` checks two
full pages of older listings before it stops, to avoid missing new ones that
sit behind promoted ads.

If Willhaben changes its page structure, the run goes red. It does not return
zero rows and report success — a silent scraper is worse than a broken one,
because you find out weeks later.

A run that is blocked or cut short partway also goes red, even though the rows
it did collect are in the dataset and yours to keep. Red here means "this is
not the complete answer", not "you lost the data" — on a schedule, a run that
quietly came back short is the thing you most need to hear about.

Every run also publishes the site's own result count next to the rows it
delivered, so you can see "60 rows of 9,969 the site reports" without going
back to the site to check. That number is what the site says, not a promise
about what one run returns.

### Same data, other countries

This Actor shares its output shape with the Otomoto (Poland), Standvirtual
(Portugal), Marktplaats (Netherlands) and 2dehands (Belgium) car scrapers. A
parser you write for one keeps working on the others.

# Actor input Schema

## `location` (type: `string`):

An Austrian federal state as willhaben spells it in its own URL: wien, niederoesterreich, oberoesterreich, steiermark, tirol, kaernten, salzburg, vorarlberg, burgenland. Leave empty for the whole country. Anything else fails the run instead of returning unfiltered results.

## `postedAfter` (type: `string`):

Return only listings published at or after this time, e.g. 2026-09-01T00:00:00Z.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many records. Keeps your cost predictable.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Off by default. Turn on (residential, in the site's country) only if runs start getting blocked with 403/429.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "location": "",
  "postedAfter": "",
  "maxItems": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

All Austrian used-car listings from this run: what the car is, what it costs, and where it is.

## `pricing` (type: `string`):

The same listings reduced to the fields used for price analysis and market monitoring.

## `dealers` (type: `string`):

The same listings focused on who is selling them.

## `runReport` (type: `string`):

Pages read, records delivered, errors, and the verdict (ok, degraded or broken).
