## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Contact Extractor API: emails, phones & social links from company websites

Give it a list of **company websites or domains**. Get back one clean row per company with **company name, email addresses, phone numbers, social media links (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, GitHub), postal address and a short description**. Built for **lead generation, CRM enrichment, sales prospecting and AI agents** that need company contact data from a URL.

### Why use it

- **$0.005 per successful site.** Sites that fail (DNS error, blocked, not HTML) are **free**.
- **Homepage + contact/about pages.** It follows same-site links like `/contact`, `/about`, `/impressum`, `/team` (up to 3 by default) and merges what it finds.
- **Structured data first.** Reads schema.org `Organization` / `LocalBusiness` JSON-LD (name, telephone, email, address, sameAs), then `mailto:`/`tel:` links, visible text and `<address>` tags.
- **Clean output.** Emails lowercased and de-duplicated, junk like `image@2x.png` and placeholder addresses dropped, share/intent links ignored, phones normalized to digits.
- **Fast and cheap to run.** Plain HTTP, no browser.
- **Agent-friendly.** Works from the Apify API, MCP server, Make, Zapier, n8n, LangChain and other AI agent frameworks.

### Synchronous API (Standby mode)

For agents and apps that need one company at a time: send an HTTP request, get the JSON row back. No run to start, no dataset to poll. Same price: one `site-extracted` event ($0.005) per successful site; failed sites are free.

```bash
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $APIFY_TOKEN" \
  "https://lmhsolutions--company-contact-extractor.apify.actor/extract?url=stripe.com&maxSubpages=3"
curl -X POST -H "Authorization: Bearer $APIFY_TOKEN" -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url":"https://www.python.org","maxSubpages":2}' \
  https://lmhsolutions--company-contact-extractor.apify.actor/extract
```

- `url` (required): a website or bare domain. `maxSubpages` (0-6, default 3).
- HTTP 200 = the output row below, charged. 4xx/5xx = `{url, status: "failed", error}`, not charged.
- `GET /` lists endpoints and the price, free. The first request after idle can take a few seconds (cold start). Standby runs also use some platform compute while waiting, per Apify's Standby billing rules.

### Input

```json
{ "urls": ["stripe.com", "https://www.python.org"], "maxSubpages": 3 }
```

### Output (one item per site)

```json
{
  "url": "https://stripe.com/",
  "domain": "stripe.com",
  "companyName": "Stripe",
  "description": "Stripe powers online and in-person payment processing and financial solutions for businesses of all sizes.",
  "emails": [],
  "phones": [],
  "socials": { "linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe", "twitter": "https://twitter.com/stripe", "facebook": "https://www.facebook.com/StripeHQ", "instagram": "https://www.instagram.com/stripehq", "youtube": "https://youtube.com/@stripe", "github": "https://github.com/stripe", "crunchbase": "https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/stripe" },
  "address": null,
  "pagesScanned": ["https://stripe.com/", "https://stripe.com/contact/sales", "https://stripe.com/about"],
  "status": "ok",
  "error": null
}
```

Failed sites return `{ "url", "status": "failed", "error" }` and are **not charged**.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.005 per site extracted** (`site-extracted`), plus Apify's tiny standard Actor-start fee. 1,000 companies = about $5.

### Use cases

- Build B2B lead lists from a list of domains
- Enrich CRM accounts (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) with emails, phones and LinkedIn pages
- Give an AI agent a "find contact info for this company" tool
- Find social profiles for competitor or partner research

### Notes

Only publicly published business contact details are collected. JavaScript-only sites may return fewer fields. Use the data in line with applicable laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and each site's terms.

# Actor input Schema

Extra same-site pages (contact, about, impressum, team) scanned after the homepage.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Sites processed in parallel.

Clients without OAuth support can send an `Authorization: Bearer <APIFY_API_TOKEN>` header instead, using a token from API & Integrations in Apify Console (https://console.apify.com/settings/integrations).
