## Pricing

from $0.95 / 1,000 job results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greenhouse, Lever & Ashby Jobs Scraper with Salary + Remote

Get **job postings straight from employers' own careers boards** in one clean format, with **salary ranges parsed**, remote/hybrid flags, departments and locations. Just type company names: the Actor finds whether each one uses Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Personio or Teamtailor.

Thousands of companies, from US tech (Airbnb, Figma, Notion, Stripe, OpenAI) to European scale-ups and SMEs on Personio and Teamtailor (Oatly, ottonova…), publish every opening on one of these systems. This Actor reads their **official public job-board APIs**, so the data is complete, current and fast: about 3 seconds for 5 companies.

![Five real jobs from this Actor's output across Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever and Teamtailor, with parsed salary ranges](https://locaihost.org/img/readme/careers-jobs.png)

### Who is it for?

- **Recruiters & sourcing teams.** Track which target companies are hiring, for what, and where.
- **Sales & lead generation.** Hiring is a buying signal: a company opening 10 data-engineering roles is a lead for data tools.
- **Job boards & career sites.** Fill a niche board with fresh, direct-from-employer postings.
- **Job seekers & communities.** Daily alerts for "remote engineering roles with posted salaries at these 50 companies".
- **Compensation & market research.** Salary ranges by title, location and company, from pay-transparency postings.

### Why this one

- **Salaries parsed.** Pay ranges come from structured fields where the ATS has them and from the posting text otherwise ("$102,000 — $120,000 USD", "$211.4K – $290.6K", "£55,000 per annum"). Each is returned as `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod` (year/month/hour).
- **Company names just work.** `figma` resolves to Greenhouse and `notion` to Ashby. Board URLs and `lever:spotify` work too.
- **New-only mode** (on by default). A saved task remembers what it returned, so a daily schedule gives you just new postings and **you pay only for new jobs**.
- **One schema across all five ATSs.** Normalised workplace type, locations, department and team, posting date.
- **No contact data.** Recruiter and hiring-manager fields aren't collected, and email addresses and phone numbers in descriptions are replaced.

### How to use

1. Click **Try for free**, enter a few companies (names or careers-page URLs), and optionally filter: title keywords, locations, remote only, with salary only.
2. Run it and check the **Jobs** table.
3. **Save as a task** and add a **daily schedule**. With *Only new since last run* on, each run returns only new postings.
4. Send results to Slack, Google Sheets, email, Zapier, Make or a webhook with Apify integrations.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "companies": ["airbnb", "figma", "notion", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "ashby:ramp"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": ["New York", "Remote"],
  "withSalaryOnly": true,
  "onlyNew": true
}
```

#### Example output

```json
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)"],
  "country": "US",
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "remote": false,
  "employmentType": "full-time",
  "employmentTypeRaw": "FullTime",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07",
}
```

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `country` | ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code (`US`, `GB`, `DE`), from the ATS's country field or worked out from the location text ("Remote - United States", "Toronto, ON, CA", "London"). `null` when unsure or when one posting spans several countries ("Remote, Canada; Remote, United States") |
| `employmentType` | One of `full-time`, `part-time`, `contract`, `temporary`, `internship`, `other`; `null` when the ATS doesn't say (Greenhouse and Teamtailor never do). The ATS's own wording is in `employmentTypeRaw` |
| `workplaceType` / `remote` | `remote`, `hybrid` or `onsite`, as the employer set it. `remote: true` means fully remote |
| `salaryMin` … `salaryPeriod` | Pay range when the employer published one (typical for US pay-transparency states and many EU roles). Read from the ATS's structured pay fields, or from the text: ranges ("$120K to $150K per year", "USD 120,000–150,000", "between £40,000 and £50,000") or a single stated figure ("base salary is $145,000"). `salaryPeriod` is `year`, `month` or `hour` as stated next to the figure or in its heading ("Monthly Pay Range"); an unlabelled amount too small to be a yearly salary (e.g. an intern's €5,000–6,250) is reported as monthly, or hourly below 300 |
| `postedAt` | When the posting went live (Lever: creation date) |
| `description` | Plain text, contact details removed, max 20,000 characters. Turn off with *Include full description* |

### Pricing

**Pay per result.** You pay for each job returned. Board lookups, filtering and runs that find nothing new are free (apart from Apify's $0.00005 run-start fee).

| Apify plan | Price per 1,000 jobs |
|---|---|
| Free and Starter | **$2.00** |
| Scale | $1.20 |
| Business and above | $0.95 |

**Worked example.** You track 50 companies. The first run returns their full open roles, say 2,000 jobs, which costs **$4.00** on Starter. After that, a daily new-only schedule that finds 100 new postings a day costs 100 × $0.002 = **$0.20 a day**, about $6 a month. Filters (titles, locations, salary only) are applied before charging, so you only pay for jobs that match.

**Free Apify plan:** each run returns up to **100 jobs**. Any paid Apify plan removes the cap.

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

Use this Actor as a tool in Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client through the [Apify MCP server](https://mcp.apify.com). Agents find it by searching for "Greenhouse jobs", "Lever jobs" or "company careers".

1. Add the server. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add apify https://mcp.apify.com/ -t http`. In Cursor or Claude Desktop, add `https://mcp.apify.com` as a remote MCP server. Sign in with your Apify account when asked, or send your API token as `Authorization: Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>`.
2. To expose only this Actor as a tool, use `https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=locaihost/careers-jobs`.
3. Ask in plain language, for example:

> Which engineering roles are Figma, Notion and Ramp hiring for in New York right now, and what salary ranges do they post?

The minimal input an agent should send:

```json
{
  "companies": ["figma", "notion", "ramp"],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer"],
  "locations": ["New York"],
  "onlyNew": false
}
```

Set `onlyNew: false` for one-off questions. With the default `true`, asking twice returns no jobs the second time, because they were already delivered.

### Integrations

Call it from any language with the Apify API. This request waits for the run and returns the jobs as JSON (synchronous runs time out after 5 minutes; use the async run endpoint for long company lists):

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/locaihost~careers-jobs/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companies": ["airbnb", "figma", "ashby:ramp"], "withSalaryOnly": true, "onlyNew": false}'
```

Python, with `pip install apify-client`:

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<APIFY_TOKEN>")
run = client.actor("locaihost/careers-jobs").call(run_input={
    "companies": ["airbnb", "figma", "notion"],
    "remoteOnly": True,
    "includeDescription": False,
})
for job in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(job["company"], job["title"], job["salaryMin"], job["salaryMax"], job["url"])
```

**Schedules:** save your company list as a task and add a daily schedule in Apify Console → Schedules. With *Only new* on, each run is a clean "new jobs today" list.

**Where the results go:** Apify's built-in integrations send each run's dataset to Slack, email, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n (the Apify node) or any webhook.

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?**
Live. Every run reads each company's job board when it runs, so closed roles disappear and new ones appear as soon as the employer publishes them.

**Is this legal? Where does the data come from?**
From each applicant tracking system's official public job-board API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Personio and Teamtailor. Employers publish these feeds so their openings can be shown and shared. No login, no scraping behind a wall.

**Does it return personal data?**
No recruiter or hiring-manager fields are collected. Email addresses and phone numbers inside descriptions are replaced with `[email removed]` / `[phone removed]`. A description is the employer's own text, so it can occasionally mention a person by name; turn off *Include full description* if you don't need it.

**My company isn't found. What now?**
Name lookup tries the name as each system's board name. If the run summary lists it as not found, paste the careers-page URL (for example `https://boards.greenhouse.io/<name>` or `https://jobs.lever.co/<name>`) or use `ats:name`. If the company uses Workday, Workable or Recruitee, use our Workday Jobs Scraper (`locaihost/workday-jobs`) instead.

**How many companies can I put in one run?**
Up to 500. Duplicates are skipped and listed in the run summary.

**Why don't all jobs have a salary?**
Only employers that publish a range have one; in our tests about 70% of US-heavy engineering postings did. Turn on *With salary only* to keep just those.

### Troubleshooting

| What you see | What it means and what to do |
|---|---|
| `Done: 0 new jobs from 5 companies.` | Nothing new since the last run of this saved task. Set `onlyNew: false` to see every open job again. |
| `Done: … , 2 not found (see SUMMARY)` | Those names had no public board on the five systems. Open the run's **SUMMARY** record in the key-value store, then use the careers-page URL for each one. |
| `No jobs: none of the 3 companies has a public … board (see SUMMARY).` | Every entry was unknown. The run ends as succeeded and you are not charged. Check spelling or paste board URLs. |
| `No usable company in the input …` | Every entry was empty or invalid (spaces inside a name, over 100 characters). Use `airbnb`, `lever:spotify` or a board URL. |
| `(free-plan cap of 100 reached)` | The free plan's per-run cap. Add filters or use any paid Apify plan. |
| Run failed: `No jobs fetched: all N companies failed` | Every board returned a real error, usually a short outage at the ATS. Try again later. |

### Good to know

- **Coverage.** Greenhouse, Lever (incl. EU-hosted boards), Ashby, Personio and Teamtailor (incl. custom career-site domains, e.g. `teamtailor:careers.acme.com`). Workday, SmartRecruiters and in-house systems aren't covered yet; open an issue if you need one.
- **Invalid entries** (over 100 characters, spaces inside a name, or characters a board name can't have) are skipped for free and listed in the run's `SUMMARY.invalid`. Use the board name (`airbnb`), `ats:token`, or the careers-board URL.
- **Name lookup** tries the company name as each ATS's board token. If a name isn't found, the run summary says so: paste the careers-page URL instead (e.g. `https://boards.greenhouse.io/<token>`).
- **Salary coverage** depends on the employer: in tests, about 70% of US-heavy engineering postings had a range.
- **Sources.** Each ATS's official public job-board API. These APIs exist so employers' openings can be displayed and distributed, and need no login.
