## Pricing

from $0.55 / 1,000 new companies

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## New Company Registrations (UK, Europe, Canada, US)

Get every company incorporated since a date in one country, newest first, as rows: legal name, registry number, legal
form, incorporation date, industry codes, registered town and postcode, and a link to the record on the official
register. The data comes from the national and state registers listed below. Leave **Only companies not returned
before** on and schedule it weekly, and each run returns only the companies you haven't had yet.

It's built for people who sell to businesses in their first months: banks, accountants, insurers, payroll and software
vendors, web designers, office and equipment suppliers. It also works for market research, such as counting new
restaurants in a town each month.

### Quick start

Paste this into the **JSON** tab and press **Start**:

```json
{
  "country": "GB",
  "incorporatedSince": "30 days",
  "industry": "62",
  "maxResults": 100
}
```

That returns up to 100 UK software and IT companies incorporated in the last 30 days, newest first.

- `country`: one ISO code (required). See the table below.
- `incorporatedSince`: a span back from today (`30 days`, `2 weeks`, `3 months`, `1 year`) or a date (`2026-10-01`).
  30 days if empty.
- `industry`: optional. A code or the start of one, in the country's own system. `62` matches every UK SIC code
  starting 62. France uses NAF codes (`62.01Z`), Norway and Finland their NACE-based codes, Ireland NACE.
- `city`: optional. The registered town as the register writes it, for example `Manchester`. Case and accents don't
  matter.
- `maxResults`: the most companies one run returns. 1,000 if empty, up to 2,000,000.
- `onlyNew`: on by default. Skips companies this account already got from an earlier run with the same country,
  industry and town, even when the date window has moved on. Skipped companies are free.

From the API you can also set `incorporatedBefore` (a date or span; companies incorporated before it, the date itself
left out) and `segment` (`active` is the default; `all` adds dissolved companies; `active-with-website` keeps only
companies with a matched website).

### What you get

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `incorporated` | Incorporation or registration date, as the register states it |
| `name`, `previousName` | Legal name, and the former name where the register gives one |
| `registryNumber`, `id`, `scheme` | The number on the register, and our id with its scheme (`GB-CH-16012345`) |
| `legalForm`, `status`, `active` | Legal form, the register's status, and an `active` flag |
| `city`, `postcode`, `country` | Registered office town and postcode |
| `industryCodes`, `industryLabels`, `industrySystem` | Industry codes with their labels (UK SIC 2007, NAF, NACE and others) |
| `website`, `websites` | A matched website, where we hold one, with how it was matched. New companies rarely have one yet |
| `lei`, `employees` | LEI and stated employees, where known |
| `registryUrl`, `source`, `registry` | The record's page on the register and which register it came from |
| `licence`, `attribution` | The register's licence and the credit line to keep with the data |
| `lastUpdated` | The date we last rebuilt the data from the registers |

Organisations only. There are no directors, owners, shareholders or other people in any row. Sole traders are left
out by each register's own legal forms: the UK and Irish files have no sole traders in them, France drops "personne
physique" (legal form 1000), Norway drops ENK, Sweden drops enskild näringsidkare, Finland, Estonia, Czechia and Latvia
drop their sole-trader forms, and Singapore drops sole proprietorships.

### Coverage and freshness

We rebuild the data from each register's newest open file about once a month. A company appears here after the
register has published it **and** our next rebuild has run, so add up to a month to the register's own schedule below.
Each row's `lastUpdated` shows the date of the build it came from.

| Country | Register | The register publishes | So the newest companies lag by |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK (`GB`) | Companies House, Free Company Data Product | A monthly snapshot | Up to about 5 weeks, sometimes more |
| France (`FR`) | INSEE Sirene | A monthly stock file | Up to about 5 weeks |
| Norway (`NO`) | Brønnøysund Register Centre | Daily | Up to about a month |
| Finland (`FI`) | PRH, YTJ open data | Daily | Up to about a month |
| Estonia (`EE`) | e-Business Register (RIK) | Daily | Up to about a month |
| Czechia (`CZ`) | Czech Statistical Office, RES | Twice a month | Up to about 6 weeks |
| Sweden (`SE`) | Bolagsverket | Weekly | Up to about 5 weeks |
| Ireland (`IE`) | Companies Registration Office | Daily | Up to about a month |
| Latvia (`LV`) | Register of Enterprises | Daily | Up to about a month |
| Singapore (`SG`) | ACRA, via data.gov.sg | Monthly | Up to about 2 months |
| Canada (`CA`) | Corporations Canada (federal corporations only) | Daily | Up to about a month |
| US (`US`) | New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Iowa and Florida (active filings, quarterly file) state registers, plus Texas franchise taxpayers (Secretary of State charter date) | NY and CO daily; CT, OR, IA and TX as each state updates; FL quarterly | Up to about a month (Florida up to a quarter) |
| Any other code | LEI holders from GLEIF | Several times a day | Up to about a month |

Not covered: Australia's ABN bulk extract and Japan's corporate number file state no incorporation date, so we can't
list new companies there. A run for `AU` or `JP` ends with a message and costs nothing. US companies known only from
SEC filings have no incorporation date either and don't appear. Canada covers federal corporations, not provincial
ones.

### Price

You pay per company returned. Companies an `onlyNew` run skips are free.

| Event | Starter | Scale | Business |
|---|---|---|---|
| New company | $1.00 per 1,000 | $0.75 per 1,000 | $0.55 per 1,000 |

A run stops cleanly at `maxResults` or at the run's maximum charge, whichever comes first, and says so in its status
message. Run it again with `onlyNew` on to carry on from there.

### Licences and attribution

These are official open-data files. Most licences let you reuse the data, including commercially, as long as you
credit the source. Each row carries its register's line in `attribution`. Keep it with the data wherever you use or
pass it on:

- UK: Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- France: Source: INSEE, Sirene database, Licence Ouverte / Etalab 2.0.
- Norway: Contains data under the Norwegian licence for Open Government data (NLOD) distributed by the Brønnøysund
  Register Centre.
- Singapore: Contains information from ACRA entity data accessed from data.gov.sg, made available under the Singapore
  Open Data Licence v1.0.
- Finland: Contains data from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), YTJ open data, CC BY 4.0.
- Estonia: Contains data from the Estonian e-Business Register (Registrite ja Infosüsteemide Keskus), CC BY 4.0.
- Czechia: Source: Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ), Registr ekonomických subjektů, CC BY 4.0. Modified by locaihost
  data. (Label the data as modified, never as unchanged official ČSÚ statistics.)
- Canada: Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence (Canada). No endorsement by the Government
  of Canada.
- Sweden: Contains data from Bolagsverket (Swedish Companies Registration Office), high-value datasets.
- Ireland: Contains data from the Companies Registration Office (CRO), Ireland, CC BY 4.0.
- Latvia, GLEIF and the US state registers are public domain or ask for no credit. Their rows still name the source.

### Removal requests

If a record about your organisation is wrong, or you want it removed, email apify@locaihost.org with the company's
registry id or name. Removed records stop appearing in every run. You don't need to give a reason.

### Good to know

- If you contact these companies, the marketing rules of their country apply to you: for example PECR in the UK and
  the GDPR in the EU. Use the data lawfully and in line with each source's licence.
- The same data, with lookups by name or registry number and lists of established companies, is in Company Registry
  Lookup (also by locaihost data on the Apify Store).

Did it help? A short rating on the Store helps other people find it.
