## Pricing

from $2.40 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 🧵 Threads Post Scraper — Extract Threads Posts and Replies

![Threads Post Scraper](https://i.ibb.co/C3szknLM/banner.jpg)

This **Threads scraper** turns any public post on **[Threads](https://www.threads.com/)** into structured data. Give it a post URL and it returns the post's text, images, videos, like and reply counts and author details, together with its replies: 100 per post by default, or as many as you set. People use it to track reactions to announcements, collect conversation data for research, and monitor brand mentions in reply threads.

Paste one or more post links from threads.com or threads.net and get back one dataset item per post, ready for **Threads data export** to JSON, CSV or Excel. No login, cookies or API key are needed.

***

### 🚀 Key Features

- 🔎 **Any public post URL** — works with both `threads.com` and `threads.net` post links
- 🧾 **Full post data** — text, publish time, post ID and code, images, videos, like count and reply count
- 👤 **Author details** — username, profile picture, verification status and user IDs
- 💬 **Replies included** — up to `maxReplies` replies per post (12 by default), including replies to replies, with the same fields as the post. Replies past the first screen are loaded page by page
- 🛡️ **No login required** — reads only what Threads shows to logged-out visitors; proxies included
- 📤 **Multiple export formats** — JSON, CSV, Excel, XML via the Apify dataset
- 🔁 **Schedulable runs** — re-run on a schedule to watch like and reply counts change over time

***

### 👥 Who Is This Actor For?

- 📣 **Social media and marketing teams** — measuring how an announcement landed and what people replied
- 🧠 **Researchers and analysts** — building datasets of public conversations for sentiment or discourse analysis
- 📰 **Journalists** — archiving a post and its replies as a record at a point in time
- 🧰 **Developers** — feeding Threads post data into dashboards, alerts or internal tools
- 🤖 **AI builders** — giving an agent or RAG pipeline the text of a post and its discussion

### 💡 Common Use Cases

- Extract Threads posts and their replies for sentiment analysis
- Track like and reply counts on a brand's launch post over several days
- Collect customer feedback left in replies to a company's post
- Archive a public post and its discussion before it is edited or deleted
- Export a list of post URLs to a spreadsheet with author and engagement data

### 📤 Output

Each dataset item has a `thread` object for the post and a `replies` array. Every post and reply has these fields:

| Field | Type | Description |
| ----- | ---- | ----------- |
| `text` | String | The post text. Posts whose body is a text attachment return that text here. |
| `attachment_text` | String | The text of an attachment the app shows as a collapsed snippet, or `null` when the post has none. |
| `published_on` | Number | Publish time as a Unix timestamp in seconds |
| `id` | String | Full post ID |
| `pk` | String | Numeric post ID |
| `code` | String | Post shortcode, as used in the post URL |
| `username` | String | Author's username |
| `user_pic` | String | Author's profile picture URL |
| `user_verified` | Boolean | Whether the author is verified |
| `user_pk` | String | Author's numeric user ID |
| `user_id` | String | Author's user ID |
| `has_audio` | Boolean | Whether attached video has audio, when present |
| `reply_count` | Number | Number of direct replies to the post |
| `like_count` | Number | Number of likes |
| `images` | Array | Image URLs attached to the post |
| `image_count` | Number | Number of images, including carousel items |
| `videos` | Array | Video URLs attached to the post |
| `has_gif` | Boolean | Whether the post is a GIF. Threads does not serve the GIF file to logged-out visitors, so no GIF URL is returned |
| `gif_description` | String | The GIF's description, e.g. "Laugh Smile GIF by vrt", or `null` when the post has no GIF |
| `url` | String | Link to the post |

#### Example Output

### 💰 Pricing

This Actor is **pay per event**. Each post and each reply saved counts as one result at **$0.0025 per result**, so **1,000 results cost $2.50** plus Apify platform usage. A post returned with the default 12 replies counts as 13 results ($0.0325); with `maxReplies` set to 100 it counts as up to 101 results ($0.2525). Raise `maxReplies` for more replies, or set `includeReplies` to `false` to pay only for the post. A free Apify account is enough to try it.

### ❓ FAQ

#### What is the Threads Post Scraper?

It is a Threads.net scraper that takes public post URLs and returns each post and its replies as structured data. You can run it from the Apify Console, the API, or on a schedule.

#### Do I need an account, cookies or an API key?

No. The Actor reads only what Threads shows to visitors who are not logged in.

#### Do I need a proxy?

Proxies are included in the price and chosen automatically, so the default works without changes. To use your own proxies, select "Own proxies" in the input and enter their URLs.

#### How many replies do I get per post?

Up to `maxReplies` per post URL, 12 by default, counting replies to replies. The Actor starts with the replies on the post page and loads further pages until it reaches that number or Threads has no more to show to logged-out visitors, so a post can return fewer replies than its `reply_count`. The author's own follow-up posts in the same thread are part of the post, not replies, and are not included.

#### A post shows a long recipe or list in the app. Why was its text missing before?

Threads lets a post carry its body as a text attachment, shown in the app as a collapsed snippet, instead of as a caption. That text now comes back in `text`, and also in `attachment_text` so you can tell the two apart.

#### Why did a post return no data?

Threads does not show some posts to logged-out visitors, and deleted or private posts cannot be read. The run log notes each URL where the post was not found, and nothing is charged for it.

#### Can I extract Threads posts from a profile, hashtag or search?

This Actor takes individual post URLs. To collect posts from a profile or a hashtag, use the other Actors in the Threads Scraper Suite listed below.

#### Can I schedule it or integrate it with my app?

Yes. Every Apify Actor exposes a REST API, webhooks, and integrations with Zapier, Make, Google Sheets and Slack, and can be called from an AI agent via the Apify MCP server.

#### Is it legal to scrape Threads?

This Actor accesses only publicly available pages. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with Threads' terms of service and the laws in your jurisdiction.

#### What if Threads changes and the Actor breaks?

Open an issue on the Actor's **Issues** tab with a post URL that fails, so the problem can be reproduced.
