## Pricing

from $1.99 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Threads Replies Scraper — export the replies under any Threads post, no login

This Threads replies scraper collects the replies under public [Threads](https://www.threads.com/) posts and saves each one as a row: the reply text, its author, likes, reply count, media, and which comment it answers. It works as a Threads comments scraper for any post you can open in a browser while logged out.

Give it one or more post URLs and get back a table of replies you can sort, filter and export to JSON, CSV or Excel. Each row says whether it is a direct reply to the post or a reply to another reply, so conversations can be rebuilt.

### 🚀 Key Features

- 🔎 **Any public post URL** — `threads.com` and `threads.net` links, with or without tracking parameters
- 🧾 **One row per reply** — text, author, verification, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, images, videos and publish time
- 🧵 **Conversation structure** — `depth`, `parentCode` and `replyToUsername` show which comment each reply answers
- 📑 **Limits per post** — `maxItems` caps replies for each post URL, not for the whole run
- 🔁 **Long posts read more completely** — when Threads stops showing replies early, the post is visited again from another IP and the new replies are added
- 🛡️ **No login, no cookies** — reads what Threads shows a logged-out visitor; proxies are included
- ⏱️ **Schedulable runs** — re-run on a schedule to follow the conversation under a post as it grows

### 👥 Who Is This Actor For?

- **Social media managers** — read every reaction to a launch or announcement post in one sheet
- **Brand and reputation analysts** — find complaints, questions and praise in the replies to your brand or a competitor
- **Market researchers** — collect audience opinions on a topic from the posts that started the conversation
- **Community managers** — spot the replies that still need an answer from your account
- 🤖 **AI builders** — feed reply text to a sentiment, topic or summarisation model

### 💡 Common Use Cases

- Export all replies to a Threads post to CSV
- Run sentiment analysis on the comments under a product announcement
- Track how replies to a competitor's post change over a week
- Collect questions people ask under a brand's posts for an FAQ
- Find which replies the post author answered (`isByPostAuthor`, `depth`)

### 🔗 Supported URL Types

| **Post on threads.net** | `https://www.threads.net/@openai/post/DW7RXR7EnRC` |

Profile, search and hashtag URLs are skipped with a warning. Use the [Threads Profile Scraper](https://apify.com/logical_scrapers/threads-profile-scraper) or the [Threads Search Scraper](https://apify.com/logical_scrapers/threads-search-scraper) for those.

### ❓ FAQ

#### What is the Threads Replies Scraper?

It is a Threads replies scraper: give it post URLs and it saves the replies under each post as rows of structured data. It also serves as a Threads comments scraper, since replies are how Threads shows comments.

#### Do I need an account, cookies or an API key?

No. The Actor reads what Threads shows a logged-out visitor, so there is nothing to log in with and no account of yours at risk.

#### Do I need a proxy?

Proxies are included in the price and chosen automatically, so the default works without changes. To use your own proxies, select "Own proxies" in the input and enter their URLs.

#### How many replies can I get per post?

`maxItems` caps replies per post URL. Threads decides how many replies it shows a logged-out visitor, and that differs between posts and between visits: some posts show every reply, others stop after the first page. When Threads stops early on a post that lists many more replies, the Actor visits the post again from another IP, up to three visits, and keeps adding replies it has not seen. In our tests on a post with about 500 direct replies, runs collected 320 to 450 of them.

#### Does it get replies to replies?

It saves every reply Threads shows on the post's page, including the replies shown beneath a reply, marked with `depth` 2 or more. Threads shows only part of a long side conversation on the post page; to read all of it, run the reply's own URL as a post.

#### Does it handle pagination automatically?

Yes. It keeps loading further pages of replies until `maxItems` is reached or Threads shows no more.

#### Can I schedule it or integrate it with my app?

Yes — every Apify Actor exposes a REST API, webhooks, and integrations with Zapier, Make, Google
Sheets and Slack, and can be called from an AI agent via the Apify MCP server.

#### Is it legal to scrape Threads?

This Actor accesses only publicly available pages. You are responsible for making sure your use
complies with Threads' terms of service and the laws in your jurisdiction.

#### What if the site changes and the Actor breaks?

Open an issue on the Actor's **Issues** tab. Threads changes its site regularly and the Actor is updated when it does.
