## Changelog

### 2026-10-15

- Every request now has a hard time limit, so a proxy connection that stalls can no longer hold up the run or push it past its timeout.
- A run that reaches its maximum cost per run now stops cleanly with its results saved and a status message, instead of ending as aborted.
- A proxy group your account cannot use no longer stops the run at start-up; it falls back to the default Apify Proxy.

### 2026-10-12

- Company names resolve more reliably: legal suffixes are dropped ("Stripe, Inc." → stripe) and any website domain works (shopify.ca, bbc.co.uk).
- Profiles are fetched six at a time, so competitor expansion covers more companies within the same run time; the time budget follows the run's real timeout.
- A company that has no Owler profile now ends the run with a clear status message instead of a failure.
- Every Actor process now caps the JavaScript heap at ~70 % of the run's memory. The platform default lets the heap grow until the container is killed (exit 137), which showed up as random failed runs.

### 1.0.0

First release.

- 48 fields per company: revenue and headcount as numbers and as bands, signed
growth trend for both, total funding with round history, acquisition and
investment counts, named competitors, leadership, phone, address, SIC codes.
- Depth through the competitor graph rather than pagination — one seed reached 23
named rivals and 106 companies at the second hop. Expansion is breadth-first,
so a capped run returns the companies nearest the seeds.
- `minRevenue` filters what gets saved but not what gets expanded, so a revenue
floor cannot cut the graph short.
- Seeds accept a name, a domain or a profile URL interchangeably.
- Pinned to the UNBLOCKER proxy group: neither datacenter nor plain residential
addresses returned a single profile in testing.
- A refused exit address is replaced within 250 ms; a rate-limit response backs
off instead. An unresolvable company name is reported and skipped.
- Run summary names the outcome and how many names failed to resolve.
