## Changelog

### 1.0 (2026-10-29)

- First release.
- Hotel lists read through the same JSON API Trip.com's own hotel list page uses, from inside a real Google Chrome window (Trip.com signs every list request in the page; plain HTTP clients and headless browsers get an empty answer). 25 hotels per request, six requests in flight per tab, two tabs. Measured 2026-10-29: 27,000+ distinct hotels from 8 cities in about 5 minutes.
- Destinations by name (city, area, metro station, landmark or hotel — resolved through Trip.com's own destination search), by Trip.com list link or by city ID; hotel links / IDs for price tracking.
- Pages are read until Trip.com's own end-of-list marker and rows are de-duplicated by hotel ID. Trip.com's lists repeat hotels on deep pages and sometimes answer a middle page with a false "last page": such pages are asked again (and, if they keep answering "end", asked as smaller pages) before the end is believed. The hotels the list delivers are the ones with an offer for your dates and guests, which can be fewer than the counter Trip.com prints (Tokyo: 2,3xx delivered of 6,951 announced; Istanbul: 2,934 of 2,980).
- `fillGaps`: optional second pass in another order that adds hotels the first pass missed (Tokyo: 2,273 -> 2,511 distinct hotels).
- Dates as YYYY-MM-DD or rolling +N days, 1–30 nights, 1–8 rooms, adults and children with ages, 40 currencies, 21 languages (local-script hotel names come with the English name).
- Filters: star rating, minimum guest rating, price band, free cancellation, breakfast included, bed types, payment option.
- Row fields: price per room per night before taxes, total for the stay with taxes, taxes and fees, original price and discount, free-cancellation and breakfast flags, cheapest room and bed, star and guest ratings with sub-scores, review count and highlights, area, coordinates in WGS-84 plus GCJ-02/BD-09 for mainland China, photos, video, awards, tags.
- Optional hotel page: local-language name, phone, email, full address, transit note, nearby places with distances, opening year, number of rooms, description, check-in/out times, child, pet, deposit, breakfast and age policies, amenities by category.
- Optional rooms: every room type with every rate (price, total, taxes, original price, discount labels, meal, cancellation terms, payment, instant confirmation, rooms left, property-currency price). Mainland China hotels return no rooms from Trip.com's room service (measured: 0 of 24 Shanghai hotels).
- Optional reviews: up to 200 per hotel with ratings, sub-ratings, traveller type, room, country, photos and the hotel's reply.
- Network: direct connection first, then the proxy from the input or Apify's residential pool, then the datacenter pool; a refused route (HTTP 430/431 or an empty "Success" answer) is swapped by relaunching the browser. Every request bounded by the run's own deadline.
- Platform restarts (migrations): hotels already written are remembered in the run's key-value store, so a restarted run neither writes nor charges them twice.
- Pay-per-result budget: stops cleanly at the run's maximum cost with a clear message (SUMMARY `stoppedBy: MAX_COST`); SUMMARY record per destination (Trip.com's count, pages, hotels saved, passes, stop reason).
