## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Canadian Tire Scraper – CAD Prices & Store Stock

Exports canadiantire.ca products for search terms or category pages, with the price and the number of units on the shelf at the Canadian Tire store you choose.

### What it returns

For each product: name, brand, part/model number, SKU, link, current price in CAD, regular price when on sale, rating, number of ratings, **units on the shelf at your store**, **units in the online warehouse**, shipping estimate in days, badges, feature bullets and image.

### How to use

1. Add search terms (for example `dewalt drill`) and/or canadiantire.ca category URLs. Search terms that canadiantire.ca sends straight to a category page (for example `drill`) are followed automatically.
2. Set **Store number**: the number at the end of the store page URL (`.../st-john-s-hebron-way-nl-144.html` is store `144`). Prices and shelf stock are for that store. The default is store 144.
3. Choose English or French and set **Max products**.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `keywords` | Search terms |
| `categoryUrls` | Category page URLs (…-DC0000000.html) |
| `storeId` | Store number (default 0144) |
| `language` | `en` or `fr` |
| `maxItems` | Total products (default 100, up to 50,000) |
| `maxItemsPerQuery` | Optional fixed limit per search |
| `fetchAll` | Save everything, up to 50,000 |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Canadian residential proxy by default |

### Output

`productId`, `skuNumber`, `name`, `brand`, `partNumber`, `url`, `price`, `priceMax`, `wasPrice`, `isOnSale`, `currency`, `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `storeQuantity`, `warehouseQuantity`, `shipDaysMin`, `shipDaysMax`, `sellable`, `orderable`, `isMultiSku`, `badges`, `fees`, `features`, `image`, `storeId`, `storeName`, `searchQuery`, `language`, `page`, `position`.

Example:

```json
{"productId": "0548765P", "name": "DEWALT (DCD996B) 20V MAX* XR® Brushless Cordless 3-Speed Hammer Drill/Driver (Tool Only)", "brand": "DEWALT", "partNumber": "DCD996B", "price": 359.99, "wasPrice": null, "rating": 4.39, "reviewsCount": 115, "storeQuantity": 12, "warehouseQuantity": 88, "shipDaysMin": 14, "shipDaysMax": 20, "storeId": "0144"}
```

### Fill rates in test runs

50 products (English keyword, category URL and French keyword runs, store 144): `price`, `name`, `brand`, `partNumber`, `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `storeQuantity` and `features` were filled for every product in that set (in a later QA check, `storeQuantity` was 58/60: it is empty when the product can't be ordered at that store). `warehouseQuantity` 42/50 and shipping days 41/50: empty when the product isn't sold online. `wasPrice` 9/50, only for items on sale. `priceMax` is only set for products with variants at different prices (0/50 in tests). `fees` was 0/50; it is filled for items with an environmental fee (tires, batteries, electronics).

### Limits

- **Canadian Tire only.** Sport Chek, Mark's and Party City are not covered.
- **Search-result data only.** No specifications table, Q\&A or review text. Aisle/shelf location is not returned.
- canadiantire.ca returns 10 products per results page and at most the pages it shows on the website.
- An unknown store number fails the run with a message in the `ERRORS` record; nothing is saved or charged. Searches that are blocked after 8 retries (each on a new Canadian residential IP and browser fingerprint) are listed in `ERRORS` and not charged. If no products are saved, the run is marked failed.
- No personal data is collected.

### Pricing

$0.0004 per product saved (pay per event). No start fee.

### Other Canadian Tire Actors on Apify

Prices checked on the Apify Store on Oct 23, 2026. "Break-even" is the number of products from which this Actor costs less per run: it has no start fee and the lowest per-product price, so it is cheaper from the first product on every plan.

| Actor | Price per product | Start fee per run | Break-even | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| canadesk/canadiantire | $0.0004 | $0.001 | 1 | Same per-product price plus a start fee and $0.02 per failed lookup |

| codingfrontend/canadiantire-ca-scraper | $0.00399 | $0.001 | 1 | |
| This Actor | $0.0004 | none | – | |

If you need Sport Chek or Mark's, aisle locations or full specifications, one of the Actors above is a better fit.

### FAQ

#### Which store's prices and stock do I get?

Store 144 unless you set `storeId`. The store number is the number at the end of the store page URL.

#### Does it cover Sport Chek, Mark's or Party City?

No. Canadian Tire only.

#### Why is `storeQuantity` or `warehouseQuantity` empty?

`storeQuantity` is empty when the product can't be ordered at that store. `warehouseQuantity` is empty when the product isn't sold online.

#### What if I enter a wrong store number?

The run fails with a message in the `ERRORS` record. Nothing is saved or charged.

#### What does it cost?

$0.0004 per product saved. No start fee.
