## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## Card Kingdom Scraper — MTG Prices & Buylist

Scrape [Card Kingdom](https://www.cardkingdom.com) — one of the largest Magic: The Gathering singles retailers — for **retail prices**, **buylist (sell-to-them) prices**, and stock, straight from its search pages.

Card Kingdom's buylist cash and store-credit numbers are a distinct pricing signal you won't find on TCGPlayer or Cardmarket — useful for arbitrage, collection valuation, and "should I sell?" tooling.

### What you get

Per card printing:

- `name`, `setName`, `rarity` (+ `rarityCode`), `foil`, `variation`
- `typeLine`, `manaCost`, `collectorNumber`
- `conditions[]` — retail price + `qtyAvailable` + `inStock` for each grade (NM / EX / VG / G)
- `lowestRetailPrice`, `inStock`
- `buylistCashPrice`, `buylistCreditPrice` (sell-to-them), `buyConditions[]` per grade
- `imageUrl`, `url`, `setUrl`
- `productId`, `searchQuery`, `source`, `scrapedAt`

### Input

```json
{
    "searchQueries": ["black lotus", "ragavan", "sol ring"],
    "maxListings": 100,
    "includeBuylist": true,
    "proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": false }
}
```

| Field | Type | Description |
|-------|------|-------------|
| `searchQueries` | array | Card names to search (required) |
| `maxListings` | integer | Max printings per query (default 100) |
| `includeBuylist` | boolean | Merge buylist cash/credit prices (default true) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | Optional Apify Proxy config |

### Example output

```json
{
    "name": "Black Lotus (Not Tournament Legal)",
    "setName": "Collectors Ed",
    "rarity": "Rare",
    "foil": false,
    "conditions": [
        { "condition": "NM", "price": 3699.99, "qtyAvailable": 0, "inStock": false },
        { "condition": "EX", "price": 3329.99, "qtyAvailable": 2, "inStock": true }
    ],
    "lowestRetailPrice": 3329.99,
    "buylistCashPrice": 2225.0,
    "buylistCreditPrice": 2892.5,
    "url": "https://www.cardkingdom.com/mtg/collectors-ed/black-lotus-not-tournament-legal"
}
```

### Notes

- Data comes from Card Kingdom's server-rendered search pages (fast, no browser needed).
- Prices reflect live Card Kingdom inventory at scrape time.
- Respect Card Kingdom's Terms of Service and use reasonable request volumes.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Keywords to search on Music Go Round (e.g. 'guitar', 'fender stratocaster', 'drum set', 'synthesizer'). Each query is paginated and returns matching used/new gear listings.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional category or search URLs from musicgoround.com to crawl directly (e.g. https://musicgoround.com/guitars/electric-guitars/). Paginated automatically. Leave empty to use Search Queries.

## `maxListings` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of products to return per search query or start URL. Music Go Round shows ~12 products per page.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Proxy settings. Music Go Round is a server-rendered BigCommerce store and usually works without a proxy; enable Apify Proxy only if you hit rate limits.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "guitar"
  ],
  "startUrls": [],
  "maxListings": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
